John not only makes you feel like a million bucks as he is shooting but his photos are beautiful! We have not yet received our wedding photos, but I have no doubt that they will be spectacular! He was so kind, so helpful, and so professional. He was flexible with us having other photographers and even when wedding plans quickly changed (from outdoor to indoor) he adapted and still got all the photos we wanted. We cannot wait to see the photos and cannot recommend him enough! Thank you! -

Hype Man Photographer
I spent a lot of time looking at different photographers and trying to figure out what vibe I wanted. I wasn’t into the washed out look or the super dark moody pictures (although both beautiful In their own way). I just wanted classic non cheesy photos that captured the moments. I told him I didn’t want him running around like 007 and trying to hang from a ceiling to get the shot. He was amazing! What a great personality to work with. Everyone raved about him! He will be your Hype man.

John Moody, owner of Moodyography, is a FANTASTIC photographer! He is experienced, kind, has amazing equipment, and has an eye that found some beautiful moments in my wedding. He also was great at wrangling my very large, very loud family during the portraits, and that is not an easy feat! Hire this man! He will give you gorgeous shots at a great price. As a fulltime wedding DJ I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of photographers over the years. When selecting a photographer, potential clients often focus solely on the images.
What some people do not take into consideration is the interpersonal skills and command that a photographer needs. John is that rare breed of incredible talent with the ability to politely but firmly command even the rowdiest group.
After a wedding ceremony is a crucial time period. This is a short period of time where some photographers end up cutting into a wedding timeline because they cannot properly organize the family for photos. Having worked with John multiple times, I see first hand how he always keeps things on track.
The end result is always amazing to see. I sometimes question whether or not I was at the wedding. The lighting and angles that he uses are superb. I cannot recommend John Moody enough. Stop reading this and reach out to him now! -

Amazing Photos, Great Guy
Let me start by saying your expectations will be exceeded. In everything. Not only is John a wonderful and talented photographer, but he is a great person as well and so great to work with. Every single question I had was answered super quick, and it was so helpful to have his knowledge of weddings throughout our planning process (His wife is also a wedding coordinator so he knows things about weddings that aren't just photography related). The photos are amazing, I honestly don't even have the words to describe how incredible they are. Every single photo is amazing and captures our day so perfectly. John is definitely passionate about his work and giving each couple he works with the best photos possible of their special day. You really see this in the time and detail he puts into each photo. If you're looking for an amazing photographer who truly wants to capture your day and all of it's emotion, look no further than Moodyography. I'm still so in awe of our photos and will definitely be recommending him to anyone and everyone I know getting married!! -

To us, photography was our #1 Priority for the wedding.
After looking at different options and interviewing several photographers, we decided to hire John to do the job.
Why did we go with him?
- His quality of work showed.
- He was very meticulous during our interview call when he went over the process and the way he worked.
During the job (the wedding and engagement pictures), John was very professional, courteous, and had great ideas for the pictures.
The pictures turned out beautiful, just as expected.
The downsides would be:
- Be prepared to wait months for your pictures. 4 months and a half for us.
- After the events, communication gets sloppy.
As a tip, be very SPECIFIC about what you want in the pictures. We worked really hard on all the small details and decor and we weren’t able to see them on the wedding day, so we were excited to see them in the pictures, and well...long history short, we don’t have pictures of that (bouquets, champagne wall, seating charts, welcome table, flowers).
So in a nutshell:
- Great to work with during the events
- Amazing pictures
- Takes time to get your photos
- Prioritize communication
