  Amazing mt hood view!

  This is the place we went to check once and decided to go with. Anastasia the wedding planner was super welcoming and helpful for our planing and the big day. She made me stress free on my wedding day and helped set up the venue. The venue itself is gorgeous! I would never forget the glacier mountain view, and the golden hours for the good photos and awesome vibes. Our guest has been talking about our big day over and over again because they had so much fun as well. We would highly 1000% recommend this place to all the couples who's looking for the wedding venue. Thank you for making this day memorable !

  Stunning perfection!

  Mountain View Orchards Wedding Venue is amazing! The view and backdrop of Mt Hood is absolutely stunning!!! And Anastasia, the wedding coordinator is the best, so helpful, so comforting. always present and ready to help during your special event! I couldn't recommend this venue more.

  Not only is this venue a beautiful place to experience your most special day, it is run by an extraordinary family. I served as wedding coordinator for a friend of mine. I was able to get all of the necessary jobs organized and accomplished from the work stations provided. The owner came to check in several times to be sure we had all the provisions necessary. My friends wedding was unforgettable. It was no less than a magical experience. I can't wait to have my own wedding there this Fall.

  We are so happy we chose Mt.View Orchards as our wedding venue!! Thank you so much to the McAlexander family for making our family and friends feel so welcome on your Orchard!
  
  When we got engaged we knew we wanted to get married in Hood River/the Columbia Gorge area. We started looking at venues, online first, and we fell in love with Mt.View Orchards but couldn't believe it could be as stunning in person. However, it truly is even more incredible in person!
  Such a beautiful Orchard! The mountain is right there. The set up for the covered tin roof outside seating area is beautifuly rustic. The bar &catering sheds are extremely convenient and have that same charming elegant rustic style. The dance floor is a beautiful smooth place to share a first dance. Lots of space for lawn games or other activities. Luxury loos in an easy location (brides...this made my day so much easier than having to go on a hike for the bathroom). Getting ready in the cottage in the a/c helped our makeup last. Tons of beautiful scenery for your photographer to choose from. Trees beautiful in fall,spring and summer.
  All of our guests were letting us know it is a truly wonderful venue! A guest who has been to many weddings over the decades, told us it was the most beautiful place she has ever been for a wedding-high praise. Simply spectacular!
  There are a number of venues with a stunning view of Mt.Hood, but no other venue that comes with Katrina. She is so patient and kind. As an owner she shows her love for the family farm and the heritage she is helping to endure as a female farmer. The care given is obvious in the 100year old apple trees that surround the wedding venue space. In the taste of the golden row apple cider. In the bounty of fruit and dahlias at the farm stand, and of course Carlos the bull.
  This is such a fun space where you can make it your dream rustic outdoor wedding. It was a dream come true for us! Perfect for our guest of all ages

  Mt View Orchards is the first decision we made for our wedding and definitely one of the best. All of our guests told us over and over again that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever been to. The mountain is so gorgeous and right behind the venue, and the whole place is beautifully maintained and has everything you need. The catering and bar areas are very cool and well stocked, the bathrooms are clean and nice, the cottage to get ready in is comfortable and nice, and the tables are so nice that you don't even need table cloths. Really you don't even need decorations because the venue is so beautiful. The owner sets up the chairs and the arbor and tables for you, and she stopped in several times to make sure we had everything we needed. She was also very responsive to my constant questions the entire way through the process, and was there to help our guests park too. We could not have asked for a more wonderful venue run by more wonderful people!! We highly recommend it.

  My husband and I and allllll of the guest really loved this venue. The view of Mt. Hood is breath taking. It’s something I hope all of the guest will remember. It’s beautiful spot to have a wedding. We had our wedding in August and it ended up being a really hot day but we were under the pavilion and it wasn’t so bad for those of you wondering. I love the coordinator Ashley she’s awesome and Katrina is amazing too. Keep making memories ladies!

  Having our wedding at Mt View orchards was the best decision we could have made. Not only is the venue one that is more breathtaking and picturesque than any other we saw, but Trina (the owner) and everyone involved made the process of planning our wedding a breeze. This is a day that we will always talk about because it was honestly perfect.

  We have been out to Mt. View Orchards several times in the past year as a wedding guest and as a paid videographer. The staff is exceptionally kind and the venue is breathtaking. Mt. View knows how to host a fabulous wedding!

  The perfect (smoky) day!

  Highly recommend Mt. View! We wanted a venue that we could come back to and visit to relive our day and this was just that. Even though it was a smoky day in Oregon and the mountain was hiding it still turned out gorgeous. We also had our rehearsals dinner at Grateful Vineyard on site and it was so relaxing and fun.
  
  Anastasia was amazing and a lifesaver, ensured our day flowed smoothly and everything was going to plan. All of our guests loved the drive out to this venue and everyone still comments on how good the cider, beer, and wine was.
  
  This venue is a great value compared to others in the area considering all that comes with it for the price.

  A sad series of events (aka a forest fire in the gorge) led us to decide to move our wedding from the gorge 2 weeks before the event was to be held due to uncertainty, air quality issues, and an estimated fire containment date well past the date our wedding was supposed to be held. We had paid venue fees in full per our contract, and when we notified the venue of our decision to move the wedding, we were met with hostility and unprofessionalism by the owner of this venue. Not a penny returned for a service they did not provide, and all they could say was that per "our contract" they weren't required to give any money back. Such a truly sad display of humanity in an industry that can be tainted by vendors that are full of greed it turns out.
  
  PLEASE do yourself a favor and chose another venue in the gorge. There are so many beautiful venues that are more worth your dollar than this one that truly doesn't offer much in comparison, especially for the ridiculous price.
  
  Luckily our wedding day turned out to be AMAZING regardless of this venue's brick wall flexibility amidst an unfortunate forest fire; when our new venue in Portland found out about how this venue wouldn't refund us at all, they gave us a huge discount on holding our wedding in their space because they felt so bad for us.

  I empathize that you were torn about having your wedding at our lovely venue and attempted to reassure you that we were indeed having weddings and events on the farm during the Gorge fires. We too were tracking the fire containment progress as were most people throughout the gorge. Our small family farm is located in Parkdale, at a higher elevation at the base of Mt. Hood and events continued as normal throughout the Gorge fire. We offered to have you visit the site to see in person and worked to reassure you that all would be well.
  There are photos on our Instagram and Facebook page of weddings the week prior. They were beautiful events. We did as much as possible to reassure you and encourage you that your wedding day would be a lovely one. 9/23/17 was honestly one of the most beautiful days we have had this year.
  Once you formally decided to cancel, requested a refund, and wanted to move to another location, we offered a refund if we could fill the date with other couple event. We made a concerted effort, reaching out to other venues all over the Gorge, wedding planners in our area and in Portland, but with only two weeks’ notice it was not successful. The date had been reserved for your day. We hoped that we could have hosted you and your family on your wedding day. We are a venue known for our warmth and hospitality and I was surprised and feel compelled to disagree that you were met with hostility and unprofessionalism. This candidly is our only negative review in 3 years of events. I felt compassion for your air quality concerns and offered site visits, reassurance, and even to reschedule your date if you so desired, and you declined. I want to encourage others to see our reviews on Facebook and Google to learn about other couples experiences getting married on our small family orchard. I am sincerely grateful to learn that you had a beautiful wedding and wish you long and loving marriage.
