I loved the planning sheet that Music By Design provides. We had a lot of songs that we really wanted to hear and quite a few we did not. The sheet made that so easy, and was such a great reference for planning the ceremony. They also provided the photo booth, which was a lot of fun. -

We had an amazing experience working with Music By Design. From the initial choice to have them as our DJ company until the last moments of our wedding day, they were absolutely flawless. We greatly appreciated their prompt response to any questions we had, making the music side of our wedding planning seamless. They were always so quick to respond and ensured we had all the answers we needed. Kevin, our DJ for both the ceremony and reception, was incredible! He was well-prepared with our music choices for the ceremony and also made sure we had the best music playing for our cocktail hour, dinner and reception. Jim was the best! He made our experience stress-free. He was an excellent communicator and MC! We snuck to do pictures which took longer than we thought and he was so on point! He took initiative and worked so well with our photographer and videographer! He also tore up the dance floor! Our guests loved him and some are using Music by Design for their wedding this up coming year as well! -

We had a great experience with Music by Design, and specifically our DJ Jim. He was consistently responsive and helpful during our planning process. What complimented this was Music by Design’s intuitive and interactive planning form online. It allowed us to get as specific as we wanted in terms of what music we wanted played, our wedding day timeline, and various other items. Outside of this, what we were particularly impressed with was how helpful and attentive Jim was on our wedding day. He went the extra mile to ensure we did not have to worry about anything on our big day. He also effectively mixed all songs and genres that we requested while keeping the dance floor full throughout the night. We would highly recommend Music by Design, and DJ Jim! -

Our DJ James was amazing! I filled out a form that asked which songs I wanted and what the timeline was for the wedding. He did a great job keeping our wedding on schedule and he had a great playlist using the songs I requested. He was great at handling song requests from guests and he some funny improv songs inbetween speeches. -

We got married in October of 2022 and are still hearing from all of our guests what a wonderful wedding it was, mostly because we made music a priority! DJ Noah did a FANTASTIC job, we were on the dance floor literally all night. He knew exactly the right music to play, followed all of my asks and it went off without a hitch. The planning website made everything so easy and less stressful. Stephen was so great at communication, answering any questions or concerns I had throughout the process. He was great at reading the crowd and kept us on the dance floor the entire night. -

DJ Steven was a dream to work with! He played all of our requested songs and was extremely thoughtful to everyone! He even changed the grand introduction of myself and my husband to include our dog- who he also pet during the night and loved on (SO sweet of him)! The online planning tool to put music into a “must play” list was perfect. My parents and friends have been raving about how kind Steven was and how wonderful he was at his job! I really liked the online planning tool. It helped put my mind at ease that everything was organized and taken care of. Pete, our DJ, was absolutely fantastic! He did a great job - just what we wanted and played our requested songs. The dance floor was packed all night!

Music by Design and our Dj, David were fantastic to work with. We were able to customize and choose all the songs we wanted played and an entire list of songs we didn’t want played which I loved. David kept people engaged and kept the event running smoothly. The photobooth staff was amazing as well!! The props were adorable and the book they send you home with is amazing! The photos are hilarious to look back on. Music by Design are truly pros at what they do. Thank you -

Kevin did an amazing job. He really got the vibe of the room and played some amazing songs that really got the crowd going. He really fed off their energy and just ran with it. People were dancing ALL night and were exhausted after !! So much fun -

DJ Charlie truly went above and beyond our expectations. He was incredibly professional, SO much fun, and quite honestly, our favorite vendor!
Leading up to the wedding, Music By Design made things so easy. The portal made us feel super organized, and it was really easy to input all of our information/requests. A few days before the event, Charlie gave us a call and made us feel at ease about everything. From the moment he arrived at the venue, he did an awesome job setting things up, making sure my husband and I knew what we were doing/where to go, and chatting with other members of the bridal party to ensure they felt comfortable about their speeches.... -

We booked Music By Design for our September Wedding at Seven Bridges Golf Club in Woodridge, IL. We chose Music by Design based on customer reviews as well as pricing, and we were not disappointed. The process from signing the contract to day-of was simple and efficient. The online portal was easy to use to select music, as well as provide vital information to the DJ (e.g. schedule of events, bridal party names, etc.). Jim was our DJ and he was very kind, friendly, organized, and did a great job keeping the party going all night. Jim made sure we kept to our schedule and helped when any small issue arose. Dj charlie was excellent he knew exactly what we wanted and took care of everything so we didn’t have to worry about when things where happening he would let us know when it was time for introductions or speeches and our first Dance. We initially considered Music by Design because we were at another wedding they DJ'ed and the dance floor was full the entire night. In our own experience, working with Music by Design was seamless from the initial conference call to get to know their services through the wedding day. Their online system of building the "playlists" for the ceremony and key reception songs was very easy and made the day of so simple. We were assigned DJ Charlie for our wedding in October 2019. We felt that the price paid was affordable. We also felt that our first meeting with the company was great! Could tell that our time was valued and that they weren't trying to hard sell us. We appreciated that very much considering another company had no regard for our time and tried to hard sell. Having a Wedding is a huge expense and so much time and money goes into it and I felt like Music By Design really understands this concept! Keep doing what you are doing!!! -

Music by Design is very organized and had the largest selection of music. We decided to choose all the dinner music but gave our DJ, Pete, freedom to choose dance music. Pete did a phenomenal job with music selection as the dance floor was always crowded. He worked well with all of us and our photographer. If we needed an announcement made, he was on it immediately. He was patient with several of us who were nervous about speaking into the mic for speeches and Blessing. Thank you Music by Design and thank you Pete for keeping our wedding reception entertaining and fun throughout the night! You received much praise from several of our guests!

We had Dylan for our wedding Dj, he was very professional and kept people entertained! We gave him the freedom to feel out the dance floor with what music he would play and did a great job!
The planning process with Music by Design was so perfect! They give you a great program to fill out all important information and give you the chance to fill out what music you like love and dislike. It is very informative and helps the Dj get to know you and your music taste before the big day!

My husband and I were able to put in specific music requests and write out a timeline; we had access to this website for several months. The week before the wedding we spoke with our DJ, Jim, who was amazing and communicated clearly. People were dancing the entire night- no lulls at all. He read the room and kept everyone happy. Plus, he didn't mispronounce anyone's name. Highly recommend if you want professional service and to have a great night.
