I don't think we will ever find the words to express the amount of gratitude we have for Gemma and her team for making every single one of our wedding dreams come true!! Every detail, and every moment that was important to us was brought to life by this unbelievable group of women.... Gemma, Jess and team planned all 3 of our events (welcome party, wedding, and post brunch) and helped us make one more spectacular than the next... They took the time to understand how we not only wanted each event to look, but how we wanted it to feel... They helped us provide the most unique and out of this world experience for us and our guests, and allowed us to enjoy every moment of the best weekend of our lives!! They cared about us and making sure we understood every contract we signed, and walked us through every step of this beautiful process! We truly cannot recommend them enough, or say enough amazing things about them as not only wedding planners, but as beautiful human beings! There is no one better!! Best decision we ever made! Working with Maria from Lake Como Wedding Planner was an absolute dream! Planning an elopement from San Diego to Italy could have been a logistical nightmare, but Maria made the entire process seamless and enjoyable.
From our first conversation, Maria tuned into our vision and was able to offer suggestions and solutions that we hadn't even considered. She made us feel comfortable and understood, all while coordinating with vendors and taking care of countless behind-the-scenes details that really elevated our special day.
We were particularly impressed by how Maria made the day uniquely ours. Despite the physical distance, she took the time to get to know us as a couple, so that our personalities and love story shone through every element of the wedding.
It's one thing to organize an event; it's another to create an experience that will be remembered for the rest of our lives. Maria did just that. We had an UNFORGETTABLE FAIRYTALE WEDDING! Let me start of by saying that Maria Moltoni was nothing short of spectacular! She helped me plan every bit of my surprise destination proposal to my now fiancé. It all started with a few face to face video meetings, where Maria understood the vision I was trying to obtain. While discussing the vision, we spoke about the realities of the potential limitations of COVID which Maria helped me navigate that brilliantly in a country that I have little experience in; while being mindful I am from the US. Her knowledge about tourism, traveling, and the elegance of Lake Como itself is astronomically high. Let me add that Maria helped me book many things ranging from the venue at Villa Balbienello (which is SO HARD to come by), our hotel stays, water taxies, photographers, hair, and makeup artists to name just a few. Her attention to detail was off the charts, and the entire proposal would not have happened without the collaboration we were able to have. Maria, you are the best, you took all my worries away about logistics and truly allowed me to focus on my fiancé. My entire family sends over a million thanks to you and your entire team!! -

The most incredible planners on Lake Como!
I started off my search for destination wedding vendors with pretty much zero idea of what I wanted other than location. Gemma, Jess, and Maria are an absolutely incredible team that created a vision come to life for our perfect wedding day. They are absolute experts on not only the region, but the vendors, all the fine details (and things I didn't even know I needed), and all things wedding-related. I knew what venue I wanted and Gemma made it an absolute priority to book it as soon as possible. Based on our conversations from there, she helped me figure out what I wanted and filled in the blanks where I needed someone else to make the decisions. She was very responsive, creative, and detail-oriented... and up for a last minute challenge when I asked if we could plan a welcome dinner with just 6 weeks to go before the wedding (Hosted at Grand Hotel Tremezzo T-Garden). I also felt like I could 100% trust her, which is incredibly important when planning something in a foreign country, for an event that is supposed to be the most important one of your life, and when sending funds to vendors internationally-- I felt 100% safe in their hands at all times and that they were ensuring they vetted every vendor (we worked mostly with vendors they use regularly), and that they really truly had their hearts into making our day incredible-- they REALLY go the extra mile in the kind and caring department. Seriously could not recommend them more highly. They made everything easy, gave me detailed instructions for what they needed on my end, and took care of the rest so we could enjoy the most perfect day with our friends and families. All of our guests were absolutely blown away and I couldn't be more thankful for these amazing three ladies.

When we decided that we wanted to have a small, intimate wedding in Lake Como we were pretty intimidated. We didn't know where to start. We even had a hard time describing what we were visioning. That was, until we met Gemma. Right off the bat she was kind, bubbly, and just easy to talk to. I was ecstatic that she was able to help plan our wedding, and certainly could not have done it without her. She helped us put our vision into words when we couldn't.
Gemma led us every step of the way, and you can tell she only uses vendors that she has vetted herself and trusts. Everyone on her recommendation lists was so hard to choose from because they all seemed so wonderful and experienced, but they were also all of different price ranges and styles so we could pick exactly what worked best for us.
Leading up to the wedding everyone would ask us if we were stressed trying to plan it, and the answer was always 'No' because we knew that Gemma had it all under control. She was constantly updating our budget list, event list, vendors info etc. so there were no surprises.
On the day of the wedding, Gemma and her assistant Jess put us both at ease and were there every step of the way again. Their experience and partnership is truly invaluable, and I cannot recommend them enough.

World Class Wedding Planner - Best In The Business
Gemma Aurileus and her team at My Lake Como Wedding Planner are world class. We were originally scheduled to have our wedding in 2020 but due to the global pandemic we had to push it not once, but twice and eventually ended up having our DREAM wedding in Lake Como in 2022. Gemma and her team were there for us the whole time, working with the vendors to book the new dates and make sure contracts were updated. All the transportation for our guests were updated by Maria and her team, ensuring our guests would have transportation to and from the wedding regardless of where their accommodations were.
The day of our wedding was an absolute dream. The ceremony and reception decor was even more beautiful than we had imagined. All of our guests continuously came up to us tell us it was the most beautiful and magical wedding they had ever been to. One guest remarked: "This is the best wedding I've ever been to, and I've been to my own wedding!". The timing and sequence of events was kept in check by Gemma and her team. The food, music, and entertainment were all of the highest quality and made for one hell of a party.
The day after the wedding, Gemma and team helped us plan a lakeside pizza party on the lake in Lenno. Again, this day truly exceeded ours and all of our guests expectations. The guests enjoyed spritz in the lake on floaties, or sun tanning on the Lenno beach while eating some incredible pizza, cheese, and snacks. It was a day that everyone still talks about and wishes to relive over and over again. Usually, the day after party disappoints, but this was NOT the case here. Gemma and her team did an incredible job planning this event as well - from transportation to execution of the event, everything was flawless.
On top of planning and hosting such incredible top tier events, the team was so awesome to work with. We looked forward to our calls and lunches with Gemma and we’re truly sad when it was all over. We would highly recommend My Lake Como Wedding Planner to any couple looking to get married in Como. You will enjoy the whole planning experience and the wedding events will be some of the best days of your lives!

From our very first call with Gemma, we knew she was the planner we wanted to work with for our wedding on Lake Como. We worked with her team to plan a 3-day celebration on Lake Como for 140 guests, including a rehearsal dinner boat cruise, welcome party, and wedding day. Gemma is kind, personable, thoughtful, organized, responsive, charming, and truly takes the time to get to know her clients. Because of this and how much she cared about us and our wedding day, she was able to design the wedding of our dreams. Gemma, Jessica, and Maria took care of every little thing, and no question or ask was ever too big. She works with the absolute best and most trusted vendors. Our guests keep mentioning that it was the most amazing wedding they've been to and the most memorable experience. Working with Gemma helped make a lifelong vision and dream a reality for us. At the end of our wedding, we actually were emotional when saying goodbye to Gemma and her team because it was so bittersweet. We couldn't have been happier with Maria's dedication and attention to detail in planning our wedding. My husband and I were overwhelmed with planning a wedding overseas, but Maria made every decision so simple. She was able to connect us with each of our venders (flowers, hair, makeup, officiant, photographer, etc.) as well as our hotel, where we held our ceremony. Maria was very upfront about costs and adhered to our budget that was discussed prior to planning. She was patient when our jobs/time difference delayed our communications. I would recommend Maria to absolutely anyone who is planning to be married in Italy. We were married over a month ago, and my husband and I still are raving at what a successful event Maria coordinated. You will not be disappointed in the slightest! She does amazing work. -

Memories of a lifetime
As most COVID-couples would know, planning an international wedding during a pandemic was anything but a walk in the park, but we absolutely ADORED working with Gemma. From our initial meeting to the big day, Gemma and her team were incredibly professional, patient, meticulous, thoughtful, and simply brilliant. Having to navigate two postponements and a number of pandemic-related hurdles, Gemma held our hands through the ups and downs and gave us a peace of mind knowing that she had everything under control.
Everything about our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and honestly it exceeded our every expectation. Gemma thought of every detail, and we had so many guests coming up to us during and after the wedding, letting us know it was the most beautiful they have ever been to, and how thoughtful every little detail was. And I told them it was all Gemma!
While I'm still bummed that I don't get to talk to Gemma anymore, we couldn't be more grateful to Gemma and her team (Jess and Maria) for giving us the memories of a lifetime. -

The wedding proposal of my dreams
Maria was amazing! My now fiancé hired Maria for our Lake Como proposal and I literally could have never dreamed of anything so beautiful, so unique, so unforgettable. She is FANTASTIC! It’s been two months since our dreamy proposal and I think about it everyday. From the location, to the floral selection, to the intricate parts of the day, she was the most amazing person ever. 80 Days to Plan: Romantic & Glamorous Lake Como Wedding
Tony and I were married one year ago on September 17, 2021 when the borders of Europe and Italy opened cautiously. I meant to write about our experience sooner but fretted that I could not find the right words to express how tremendous of a job Gemma and her team did for us, and under such unusual circumstances.
With less than three months, Gemma and I planned a magical 3-day destination wedding for 50 guests in Tremezzo, Lake Como.
My fiancé was adamant that we marry in Lake Como even though we had to wait a couple of years because of the pandemic. Once borders opened in June, he asked me to put the California option aside and see if I could pull off a Lake Como wedding for mid-September. I said that depends on me finding the right venue and an amazing wedding planner. I did and that was Gemma Aurelius.
Planning an overseas destination wedding felt daunting enough let alone the challenges associated with the late stages of the pandemic. I knew no one in Lake Como and did not speak Italian.
With Gemma, nothing was sacrificed. We selected mid Lake for our multi-day celebration. Villa Balbianello for the ceremony and Villa Sola Cabiati for the reception. Friends and family continue to tell us that it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they have ever attended,. Every day offered guests a unique experience. We could not have realized such a smooth and memorable set of events without Gemma and her team. Here is a summary of why:

I had such an incredible experience working with Maria from My Lake Como Wedding, I truly cant say enough good things about her. She gave me my dream wedding!
My husband and I decided we wanted to elope to Lake Como. We are from the US so I knew I needed to hire a wedding planner. I wanted to make sure I hired someone that would make my elopement just as beautiful and special as if I was having a regular wedding with many guests. After researching, I found Maria, and after our first phone call I knew I wanted her to plan my wedding.
She was extremely on top of everything and in constant communication over the year of planning. She is organized and made the process such a breeze and absolutely stress free. Every choice she gave me when picking out specifics such as flowers, location, dinner, photography, videographers, officiant ect. was QUALITY. Due to the pandemic, like many couples we were forced to move our original Lake Como, Italy elopement date. With it already being an international affair this was a huge undertaking then you add in a world-wide crisis, both my husband and I had our moments of doubt. But we agree that we could have not done any of this without MyLakeComoWedding. Gemma (owner) had us in great hands with Maria throughout every step of the way. It feels like we planned two wedding elopements and we could not have been happier with how our special day turned out. Everyone wants to know - is it worth to get a wedding coordinator? YES! Especially if you are not local to the area and have zero vendor contacts. Day of coordination was crucial in keeping with the timeline and handling all the vendor requests. It was nice to know that I could hand my purse off with all of my IDs, money and phone so I could do this thing, called 'walking down the aisle'. It was constant professionalism and timely correspondence. Even very last minute vendors going awol, Gemma and Maria provided options to rectify the situation fast. Always a problem solver. I would tell any couple to tack on an additional 10-15% of what your budget is currently because you will spend more than you think. My husband I will have our Lake Como wedding photos hanging on our walls in our home forever. And even though it just happened, I imagine in 20 years I will think back fondly on our great, epic Lake Como, Italy elopement as one of the best days of our lives thanks to MyLakeComoWedding. -

Gemma is the best and her team is also the best! I thoroughly researched about different wedding planners and I am glad that I listened to the reviews here and made the right decision as I always like working with the best. Gemma has become my friend throughout this process because I felt that she genuinely cares and planning a wedding during these uncertain times was quite challenging but she made it all possible and in the end my dreams came true and I can credit Gemma for helping me attain my vision. When you talk to Gemma she will make your dream wedding a reality and in the best way possible. She also has great contacts so I was able to get the best suppliers which I would have not thought about. I'm glad that I trusted Gemma with her advice as she has very good taste and she's very knowledgeable about Lake Como. Being able to relax knowing there's someone there for me is a great feeling during my big day, and she thought of everything, like the nice little touches that she puts are not unnoticed. I like her positive energy, she's so calm and collected, so she makes it a breeze. Her team is the dream team! If I get a chance to have a renewal wedding ceremony I would love to have her again. She made us so happy and all the wedding planning and efforts we made for it during the year was worth it. One of the most beautiful days of our life will forever be etched in our memory - our Wedding Day in Lake Como. Gemma is a dream maker x -
