  Ahhhmazing!

  Megan and her team are absolutely incredible. Her florals were so beautiful I cried tears of joy and relief on my wedding day. All of my bridesmaids were swooning over their bouquets.
  
  Communication was easy, open and she knew exactly what it was I wanted. She brought my vision to life and made it even better, how is that possible? I’m so lucky that I chose Megan as my floral vendor because she knocked it out of the park. I 100% recommend her to anyone that wants to be blown away. JUST CHOOSE MY SUN & STARS!   Best Photographer EVER!

  Megan and Greg are worth every dime, nickel, and penny. They were so attentive to our needs from day one. They have such genuine care for us, that we felt like they were more apart of our wedding. Their work was well beyond our expectations! I highly recommend them for any occasion. Thank you again Megan and Greg! You all were amazing and your work was absolutely stunning!

  The Perfect Elopement Photo Session!

  My wife and I just got the photos from our 2-hr elopement session from Megan, and they are absolutely stunning!!! We love the brightness and warmth in her photos and how she captured us -- there was a nice mix of candids, posed, artsy, and classic shots. As out-of-towners, we didn't really know the area, but Megan and Greg picked the perfect locations for the shoot, and they made us feel at ease during the session.
  
  Megan also does beautiful floral arrangements (we got a bouquet, boutonniere, and floral hair clip from her), and we highly recommend!!!

  Unbelievable photos

  Just received our photos from Megan. We are blown away. She captured candid photos of our grandparents (and other wedding guests we rarely get to see) that we will cherish forever. She and her team are professional, easy to work with, present for every moment (but silent to get there...no noisy walking or blocking any views!), and simply wonderful. Her style of editing is natural, airy, and timeless, and really looks beautiful on all of our photos. If you need a photographer in San Diego (or elsewhere...she travels!) look no further! My only advice would be to book her for extra hours because she is that good! :)

  Candid, emotional, ethereal, artistic, genuine, comfortable - these are a couple of key words I would describe Megan's photography. My husband and I knew we wanted photos that captured the nature of our relationship, and a photographer that enjoyed candid moments as much as we did. We first hired Megan for our engagement shoot in June 2018, and working with her and Greg was so fun! They made us feel comfortable and encouraged us to be our natural selves. The photos turned out everything we wanted. Our wedding was in Maui and we were trying to decide if we should hire a local photographer in Maui who knew the area, but as soon as we saw the engagement photos, we knew Megan was coming to Maui with us. And of course, the wedding photos turned out gorgeous, with romantics suited for a magazine, to candids that really captured the emotions of our wedding day. We're so grateful we can relive the emotions of our wedding day through these photos! Thank you so much, Megan!

  We cannot speak enough of Megan and Greg's work! We hired My Sun and Stars Co. for our wedding over a year in advance! Megan's work speaks for itself... as soon as we discovered her and her website we knew it was exactly the way we wanted our day to be captured. We did an engagement shoot with Megan exactly a year before our wedding. Megan was able to pick a location for the shoot that had a ton of variety... we even did a bit of climbing! The shoot was exhausting, but so much fun! We had both Megan and Greg shoot our wedding. A hurricane almost changed all of our plans, but Megan was quick to communicate with us the week leading up to our wedding and ensured we would have a backup photographer if she was not able to make the trip to us (we are in VA). In the end, the hurricane missed us and all ended up going as originally planned! My husband and I are so happy with how our wedding photos turned out. There are so many candid moments that were captured and even our "posed" photos do not feel forced. Megan and Greg did an amazing job of capturing our day and we are so thankful that we will be able to look back and relive our wedding over and over again!

  We hired My Sun and Stars for our engagement, boudoir, and wedding photos and it was easily one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. My husband and I aren't comfortable in front of the camera at all and Megan and Greg handled our awkwardness with such ease. They're great at making you feel comfortable and providing direction. It was also really important to us that none of our photos seem too forced or formal...and I can confidently tell you not ONE of our photos has that vibe. The number one comment we consistently get from our loved ones is how these pictures are "so us" and "natural". My husband was also really worried about having a camera following us and potentially ruining our ability to enjoy the day. We (and so many of our guests) were so impressed by how skillfully Megan and Greg were able to navigate the crowd-they just kind of melted in the background but were somehow able to capture all the special intimate moments we missed. They also didn't pull us away too much from the day to take photos and LET US ENJOY THE DAY. It's creepy how effectively and quickly they take photos in such a short amount of time. And, because I can't go on forever, I will forever be grateful to Megan for stepping in where my coordinator didn't. She was able to effectively manage the stressors of the day and really did a lot of behind the scenes work in coordinating things and making sure I wasn't bothered. I honestly think I would've had a mental breakdown if it wasn't for her calm and effective approach to the day. We are SO grateful for My Sun and Stars and we will without a doubt use them again and again in the future.

  Some issues have come up since writing the original review, so this is an update to my formerly happy review.
  
  We hired Megan L Photo to take our wedding pictures as well as a day-after trash-the-dress session. She was friendly and easy to work with, and I was mostly happy when I got the photos. We received more than 1,300 nice quality photos of our wedding day. One issue I noticed was that while Megan's photos are great on the whole, her second photographer's were subpar - underexposed, with tons of chromatic aberration. I am a photographer so I may be pickier than most, but there was a big quality difference between the two shooters. (I don't know exactly who the second photog is, or her business name. Her first name is Hannah.) Since Megan had assured me that her second photographer would be her equal in quality, I was very disappointed.
  
  There were some other issues. The thumb drive she sent us was corrupt so we couldn't open it - okay, not a big deal, she also sent us an online download link so we didn't need the thumb drive. One photo file was also corrupted - again not a big deal, just one picture out of hundreds. We were also missing a short video that she had taken during our trash the dress session. The real problem occurred when I asked her about the missing video and the corrupted photo file. At first she assured me that both were coming very soon. So I waited for weeks, and then about once a month or so I would send her a quick reminder email or Facebook message about our missing photo and video. Months passed with absolutely zero response from her. It is now May 2016, and I haven't heard from her since July 2015. I get that one video and one photo isn't such a big deal, but it is very very frustrating to have been completely ignored for 10 months! That is NOT okay.
  
  Also, since photographing our wedding she has raised her prices by $1,000. So between her lack of professionalism and quality issues I no longer think her prices are a good value.
