The Very Best Experience
We were recommended to Tom from a website. He was so great. He has a charming, calming way that immediately puts you at ease. He takes you through every step of personalizing your ceremony. We got married May 5 at a country club with about 50 close friends and family. We wanted a spiritual ceremony not religious and it was perfect. All about love. And all about us. We had the pleasure of having Tom Hamel as our officiant for our wedding at BayPointe Inn in Shelbyville, MI. Tom was an amazing officiant for our wedding, and we are so grateful for his support and guidance. From answering our emails promptly to ensuring the entire process was stress-free, Tom respected our wishes perfectly for how we wanted the ceremony to run. Many of our guests commented on how well the ceremony was conducted. Our Wedding with Officiant Tom Hamel
Tom Hamel made our wedding day ceremony seamless with no added stress to us. From booking to the day of his system for choosing your vows, adding your religious preferences, and making sure everything was what you wanted was simple. Tom made sure to check in the day prior to ensure everything was ready and we had no questions. He checked in with me day of in the bridal suite to ensure our preferences as well and left nothing open to questions. He made me feel at ease and gave me no worries about our ceremony. He was a calming presence during the ceremony, reminded us all we had to do was enjoy each others presence and hold hands and he would guide us through the rest! His ceremony was perfect and knew when to add jokes to and kept the crowd engaged and laughing. Tom even mails your marriage license for you and handles all things needed after the ceremony for you. I could not recommend Tom more for your ceremony. You would not regret hiring him. He is amazing to work with and so kind and thoughtful. Could not recommend Tom Hamel more! Tom officiated our wedding this past Friday and it was phenomenal! He was incredibly helpful with last minute things, very responsive and made the whole thing very low stress! We got so many compliments on the personalized and meaningful ceremony and how eloquently Tom lead the ceremony. Excellent & Memorable Experience (for both Parties!)
The experience we had with My West Michigan Wedding was nothing short of excellent. Our Officiant, Tom F. Hamel was professional, prompt, and proactive. He had every step of his pre-wedding, ceremony, and post-wedding steps nailed down to the T - in such a way that any anxiety related to the ceremony (outside of music concerns and other details) simply melted away for us.
Tom's demeanor during the ceremony allowed us to enjoy the moment, while still having a guiding hand in case we needed to make adjustments or repeat a given line. He also had a great candid moment when the rings were presented, and incorporated that moment of amusement as a sharing of joy (and hilarity) with those present.
While our ceremony was only 30 minutes in length, Tom efficiently uses that time to make it very meaningful and joyous to all in attendance. Tom was WONDERFUL!!! He was the officiant for our wedding on 9/23/23 at the Kindel Room and did a fabulous job. Starting from the beginning when we did our intro call with him, it was immediately evident to us that Tom was incredibly kind, thoughtful, caring, and experienced.....everything we were looking for! His booking and communication was quick, thorough, clear, and easy. Most importantly, Tom offered unlimited flexibility in our ceremony planning and set up, as well as supplied tons of ideas for wedding readings, writing our own vows, and the overall flow. His ceremony planning process offered numerous different choices or wordings of how you would like things done (more or less religious, more or less romantic, etc), and he was more than happy to change out/edit certain things we wanted altered! Once we supplied him with the 2 different readings we were having family do, he even suggested where they would fit best in the overall ceremony which was SO helpful. Tom has such a gift for officiating and immediately made us feel at ease on a day when our nerves were at an all time high! He used the perfect blend of seriousness with light (and totally appropriate) humor that went over SO well with our group. We got tons of compliments on the ceremony and.....as a true professional.....he stepped to the side during our first kiss photo to give us a clear background! Tom was amazing and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and everyone looking for a wedding officiant :)Tom was WONDERFUL!!! My now wife and I hired Tom from My West Michigan Wedding for our ceremony. The process was very fast and simple, and Tom was very speedy and had efficient communication through e-mails although phone calls are also an option for him. His form that we filled out was very open to people of all walks of life. My wife and I didn’t want a very traditional wedding and the options were available for us to do so without issue. When the day of came, Tom was very kind and helpful through the planning of the ceremony. He gave us feedback and suggestions for how certain elements of the ceremony should go and we appreciated that so much. Tom was very professional and wholesome when speaking during the ceremony and was there to help us if we misspoke or got lost. At one point my husband was nervous as being the bride, I filled out the form about the ceremony. Tom made him feel comfortable. Tom was excellent! All of our guests raved about his ceremony. He rarely read from a script and made eye contact with us and our guests nearly the entire ceremony. He’s great at ad-libbing to add humor while also keeping the moment special and intimate at the same time. Our guests said they were captivated the entire ceremony and he kept it around 20 minutes. Tom was very responsive throughout the entire process and made each decision easy. His questionnaires really helped with timeline and preparation. We couldn’t speak more highly of Tom and his approach. We would recommend him to anyone in search of an officiant!Tom was excellent! All of our guests raved about his ceremony. Wonderful Experience - 10/10 Recommend!
I highly recommend Tom to officiate your wedding. My husband and I switched up our original wedding plans last minute and booked with Tom about a month prior to our wedding date - he was available and so very accommodating! Tom was early to his arrival, well prepared, dressed for the event and his speeches were heartfelt and included special, specific information about us. He made us both feel so comfortable.I highly recommend Tom to officiate your wedding. Tom did such an amazing job officiating our wedding. People couldn’t believe that we didn’t know him prior to the wedding. We were so nervous getting someone we didn’t know as an officiant but as soon as we met Tom, we knew we were in good hands. He made sure to get to know me and my husband and what our relationship was like. He was great at communicating and was very flexible if things needed to be added or changed.
