Avoid booking here solely because this venue works exclusively with Lancer Hospitality company. I wouldn’t suggest my worst enemy get into a contractual arrangement with the most poorly managed company that I’ve come across. I had my reception here and they were understaffed, ran out of alcohol 2 hours into the reception, served different meals than what I requested, didn’t serve the cake that we paid extra to make sure they cut and served, didn’t have somewhere for the bridal party to keep their stuff, didn’t have the ingredients for the signature drinks, were late bringing out all the food, only passed around a couple trays of hordoerves, bartenders were fighting behind the bar in front of our guests, the management was mean and unhelpful. I am so upset about my experience here and due to the agreement Mystic Seaport has with Lancer Hospitality group (also goes under the guise of Constellation Catering), I will make sure all of my friends and their friends do not book here

We made the decision to have a tiny covid year wedding in Oct 2020 after our original wedding plans were uprooted. Jenna and all of the staff at Latitude 41 were wonderful and truly made an amazing day for us. The venue was more than helpful ensuring we were able to have the type of day we were looking for. Everyone was attentive, the food amazing, and our day truly perfect thanks to everyone who made it happen at Latitude 41. I highly recommend this venue. If you choose them you will not regret it!

We found this venue to be beautiful, accessible and friendly! The coordinator, Jenna, was organized, professional, and kind. Our wedding could not have been better! The food and the venue were perfection!

My wedding was everything I hoped for and Jenna and the rest of the staff were radiant every time something "went wrong" - I put that in quotes because if I thought something was going wrong they swooped in and then it was like nothing ever happened. It's a beautiful venue and everyone I've talked to since said this was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! Its my first wedding so I didn't know what to do and it was wonderful that Jenna could direct and bounce ideas around. She never interfered with what I was planning just helped me to see any gaps and to find solutions. This was the very best and I'm so happy I chose Latitude 41 as my venue!

Jenna and the team at Latitude 41 were all fantastic! From day one we knew our decision to have our wedding there was the right one. Jenna listened, heard my vision, and followed through beyond my expectations. She was very responsive, gave great suggestions, and made us feel so special. I had the best, most stress-free, wedding day because I knew I could trust Jenna! There are so many details involved in planning a wedding, and Jenna did a great job making sure everything was covered. The food was FANTASTIC -- guests are still raving about their meals. We felt like we got the chance to actually enjoy our night because of the way the team stayed on top of things and kept us in the loop. They kept us well-fed and always made sure we had a fresh drink in hand. The scenery is beyond beautiful, but the staff was the icing on the cake. Our wedding day couldn't have been more perfect!

My daughter chose Lattitude 41 based on the rustic nature of the River Room and the Mystic River and boats in the background. Despite the brutal wind outside, the wedding ceremony and reception fulfilled every expectation. The staff adjusted to having the ceremony on the enclosed patio and cocktail hour in the River Room. All the guests raved about the appetizers and dinner. We all danced the night away. The location was perfect for sunset pictures and most importantly, the bride and groom had a wonderful time!!

Latitude 41 was a fantastic venue. It has a classic New England charm set against a backdrop of the majestic Mystic Seaport. We've been to many weddings in hotel ballrooms that all end up feeling the same. This can't be said for Latitude 41. The staff helped us make the River Room feel warm, festive, romantic and beautiful for our Christmas wedding. Not to mention that the food was out of this world. It's been a week since the wedding and we're still dreaming about the tomato soup sippers and butternut squash risotto. While planning a wedding, it often feels like you are getting taken advantage of left and right - everything is expensive and arduous. This was not the case at Latitude. We found the venue to be very reasonably priced, especially given everything that was included in the contract. It was great to work with one coordinator who streamlined everything from the food, drinks, venue space, tables & chairs, linens, decor, cake and rehearsal dinner. Jenna, the coordinator who worked on our day, was organized, detail-oriented, and always ready with a recommendation. If you're looking for a quintessential Connecticut wedding on the water, with photo opportunities that cannot be beat, definitely consider Latitude 41.

Our reception was held at Latitude 41 next to the Mystic Seaport. It was absolutely beautiful. Our pictures by the boats and on the Seaport grounds came out beautiful. We reserved the River Room for the reception. The decor and setup was everything we envisioned thanks to our planner Jenna. She also did an amazing job keeping everything running timely and smoothly. All the staff at Latitude was very friendly and helpful!

Alyson was amazing to work with. She would check-in throughout the planning process and was very helpful with making final decisions. The day of, they set up the Boat Shed exactly how I had envisioned and described. They were very attentive to detail. The food was AMAZING and there were many compliments from our guests. The wait staff and our bridal attendant, Carol, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We can't thank them enough!

We are so happy we decided to have our ceremony at the Greenmanville Church and our reception at Latitude 41 this past December. It was wonderful to work with Jenna throughout the planning process, and we and our guests were thrilled with the venue, food, and staff.

We chose Mystic Seaport after viewing probably two dozen wedding venues. It was the first one we saw and we ended up comparing everything to it! We knew getting married along the Mystic River was the perfect spot for us and the Seaport offered a unique combination of an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception, something we wanted. The venue was beautiful and we loved our Sales Manager Kimberly! Kimberly was incredibly easy to work with and responsive to emails, answering all of our questions, making suggestions and helping us through wedding planning.
The food was delicious and the waitstaff and bartenders were attentive and pleasant! We received many compliments on both! They were willing to work with us to swap out some of the cocktail hour appetizers and a dessert assortment instead of a big wedding cake.
The only two issues we had were a slight lack of coordination between the ceremony and reception and having to remove all items at the end of the night. A bridal attendant and wedding coordinator were present during the cocktail hour transition but not the most helpful. Definitely make a gameplan ahead of time if taking photos on the grounds. We ended up rushing around and not really knowing where to go. Also, we had to pack up and take all the decor, etc with us at the end of the night which kind of put a damper on things and required our bridal party and family to clean up at the end.

We held our wedding at Latitude 41 on July 7th, 2017, and it was hands-down the best day of our lives, thanks to this beautiful venue and professional staff.
PLANNING: The planning process was seamless working with Jenna Landon who is their coordinator. During planning meetings, we sometimes came "unprepared" and she offered many helpful ideas. She responded quickly to emails, and even last minute requests. Jenna is a consummate professional. Simply put, she gets the job done. Our event was literally flawless thanks to her hard work, attentiveness, and impeccable eye for detail.
VENUE: If you visit the venue you will see that the setting is beautiful. The North Lawn is a gorgeous stretch of green grass that they keep pristine. The morning and afternoon of our wedding saw several inches of rain, and still, the lawn was dry and ready for guests when they arrived. The River Room has a lot of character (in a good way!) and the setup (including bar, dance floor, and cocktail hour) was perfect.
STAFF: Wonderful!
FOOD: We had heard the food was good, and had tasted it and thought it was delicious as well, but are always skeptical of "wedding venue food." However, it did not disappoint. We thought the food was even better on the day of our wedding than when we had done a tasting. Our guests raved about their steak and salmon, and the apps (none of these were "upgrades" to the menu).
ADVICE: Add an extra half an hour to the event (we did and it was well worth it!) and rent the North Lawn!

We absolutely loved river room at latitude 41. Everything from start to finish was very easy even living a few states away. Jenna was our planner and was amazing. She was always on top of things and very quick to respond back to us. The food was amazing, the service was exceptional. Certain things were a bit pricey- for example, the ceremony cost for the lawn. Also hidden costs like chair upgrades (their regular chairs were gross). But other than that we would highly recommend to anyone!

We had our reception here in September and it was amazing. Our event planner went above and beyond in making sure our special day was perfect. She was always reachable and responded very quickly to all our questions and emails. Everyone was extremely professional, very approachable and kind to our guests. They were able to accommodate all of our guests needs and make last minute adjustments for us. The venue was beautiful, very clean, and had an amazing of view of the water. We couldn't be happier with the way the reception turned out. Also, being a gay couple we were a little worried, but it was a non-issue with everyone we interacted with. They made us feel very comfortable and at ease, and it really enabled us to enjoy the day as any other couple would.

When we visited Latitude 41, we immediately knew this was the venue for us. We had our ceremony on the North Lawn and reception inside the River Room. It was absolutely gorgeous. Besides the aesthetics, our wedding coordinator Jenna was incredibly flexible, responsive, and well-organized. She gave us honest advice and made sure our day was exactly our vision: from the food to the floor plan to individual candles. We spent our whole honeymoon talking about how perfect our day was!

We got married at Mystic Seaport this June and could not be happier. We had our ceremony on the North Lawn and reception in the River Room. There are a few location options on site but we loved our choice because it was a great indoor/outdoor flow. Cocktail hour was held on the patio and after dinner guests were able to grab some fresh air on the patio as well. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day, and let's face it, everybody is happy on their wedding day, but our day could NOT have been better. Our coordinator, Jenna Landon, was awesome since they day we booked the venue. She was always professional, organized and attentive. I admittedly wasn't the most organized bride during the planning process but she was always patient and had a great attitude during the whole process. They offered a lot of flexibility with the menus, general setup and extras. You really can't go wrong with menu options because the chef and restaurant our totally on point. I'm a vegetarian and Jenna was quick to point out if their were any meal items that I should look out for. As everyone told us, your wedding night will fly by but you won't want to miss out on your dinner. We still regret not wrapping up a few of the risotto cakes for later in the night! Also, "wedding food" is commonly sub-par or what I like to refer to as "banquety" but our guests are literally still raving about the food. We took our photos throughout the seaport grounds prior to the ceremony and our bridal attendant, MJ, was so great at keeping up with our wild wedding party. She was also very helpful at the end of the night when we had to pack up all our decor. One thing I'll note, is be sure to have a few members of the wedding party stay behind after the last dance to gather all the centerpieces and decor. To sum it up, it was awesome and you will not be disappointed!

Everything was absolutely perfect!!! We had the best time and couldn't have asked for better service. Kimberly (day-of coordinator) and C.J. (day-of bridal attendant) really went above and beyond to make everything beautiful, run smoothly and taste good!!! Alyson Clark was our wedding coordinator and throughout the entire process was extremely responsive and informative. She always made us feel like her #1 priority although I'm sure she had dozens of other weddings she was responsible for. She never told us what other couples did but instead listened to what we wanted and gave us advice only if and when we asked for it. Alyson really made our vision come to light and she went above and beyond for us. She and everyone else at Latitude 41 are true professionals. Our wedding was so much fun for all of our 165 guests and everyone raved about the food, the unique location and the overall feel of our wedding. We held our ceremony at a local church and then came to Latitude for photos, cocktail hour out on the North Lawn and then the reception in the River Room. C.J. came along with us, the bridal party and the photographers throughout the Mystic Seaport and pointed out spots that work well for photos. She was super friendly and accommodating. She held up my veil so it wouldn't get dirty and held my flowers at certain points. She just made taking the photos so easy! When we got back to the cocktail hour she got our favorite drinks ready and got us a whole plate of food so that my husband and I could eat some of the food while enjoying our cocktail hour as we chose to enjoy the time with all of our guests. Throughout the whole night she was proactive in getting us drinks and checking in with us. She was awesome. Kimberly and her team made the whole event run smoothly and made sure the food came out quickly and correctly for all of our guests. Everything exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be happier with our choice.

The event planner was very helpful and professional throughout the wedding planning process. She responded usually within and a half hour of receiving any question that I had for her which really kept the stress down! The venue is beautiful and having the entire wedding in one location made the whole event flow so smoothly. The guests commented how they liked not having to drive. I would recommend and rave about this venue to anyone who asked!

What can I say - it was perfect! The setting and the staff were fantastic. It was all inclusive, and really easy for us to focus on our own special touches instead of fussing with the general logistics. My only complaint is that it was over way too soon!

Had our dinner at the upstairs in Latitude 41. It was great. The food was awesome, the wait staff was very friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend it as a dinner spot.

I was married on the North Lawn in September, with dinner in the River Room. I planned the wedding in under a year (and from 2000 miles away - we live in colorado) with the help of Alyson. She was in her second trimester when we met but that didn't stop her from showing us the venue in a snowstorm! She and I have similar personalities so I felt like we were on the same page and she cut it to us straight. She was good about explaining all the details and the fine print. She was excellent about outlining the schedule of approvals and payments. We found the grounds of the Seaport to be unique, Mystic to have the New England charm we wanted our guests to experience without being as expensive as nearby Newport. The North Lawn is expansive and well kept. The waterfront views with the ships and boats in back was exactly what we were looking for. The River Room is nice too; the brick on the patio could stand to be updated but the sail cloth patio covering more than makes up for it, it's gorgeous. The River room seems a bit dark but the decor and WI down are nice. Guests commented that with the bar being right on the dancefloor allowed them to stay dancing more than they did at other weddings. The main bathroom is downstairs but there is a single washroom on the main floor for older or handicapped guests. While Alyson went on a maternity leave my planning kept on without a blip which was a nice bit of sanity. I totally trusted them both to have it under control. The day if attendant was also super nice, helpful and never hard to find. The day went smoothly, the room looked great, the food was excellent and everyone had a fantastic time. Their package deals are easy to understand, include great bar options, and their prices are competitive. Guests came in from all over the country and everyone raved about the venue. We had our rehearsal at the Engine Room and hosted a sail on the Argia the next day. The entire weekend was great, Alyson and her team were a big part of it!

Absolutely amazing! Beautiful location, delicious food and excellent service! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to work with an outstanding venue!

I absolutely love Jenna Landon. I had looked at one venue before the seaport and I was so sad to find out their coordinator and I did not hit it off. Back to the drawing board I went...all I wanted was to find the perfect venue on the water...AND I DID! Jenna was amazing. She answered the million emails I sent her throughout my 11 month engagement...trust me, I had a lot. And the day of the wedding she set up everything for me, whether it was my guest book, candy buffet, favors...anything...she had it set up by the time I arrived at the venue for the ceremony. We had a few mishaps that were out of the venues control the morning of the wedding, but Jenna handled the situation really well. The guests absolutely loved the food they served, I had a buffet for 90 people and the line went through SO fast without any problems...actually, I think I am going to be dreaming of pecan Gorgonzola stuffed mushrooms for weeks to come. The venue was absolutely stunning and whats better than a venue that comes with the linens already available. If I could do my wedding all over again I would always pick coastal gourmet and Jenna Landon. I cannot say enough good things about her.

Our wedding was at Mystic Seaport on August 9 and I can't say enough about this place. The North Lawn was the perfect site to have an evening ceremony and the River Room was the right combination of low-key elegance with a rustic new England twist. The venue was gorgeous, the food was fantastic (don't let the initial tasting scare you....the dinner at the reception was a 100 times better than our first tasting), and Kimberly was great.
All of the planning leading up to the event was incredibly stress-free and the event itself was perfect. I know wedding guests always tell the bride and groom how much fun they had, but we had so many guests tell us this was one of the best venues they'd been too...and I know they weren't saying that just to flatter us!
