My wife and I got married at Nakoma Resort on 12/6/21 and had the most amazing experience. Everyone has told us it was their favorite wedding ever! Nakoma made that happen!
Everything was so amazing, from a family cocktail meet in great the night before at Altitude, to the ceremony with the most amazing view, the reception in the most amazing frank lloyd wright room with daycare for the kids during. The staff was incredible at handling all of us checking in at the same time, setting up, and prep.
The food was truly amazing! Wedding food is often bland but this was anything but. Everyone had a 5-Star dining experience. The Soup was superb and the short rib was the best I've ever had. Everyone could not stop talking about it! It even made it into the speeches.
Nakoma is a hidden gem in the lost sierra with modern-day amenities and beauty throughout. They made our wedding a true fairy tale and blew away all of our expectations. We highly recommend a Nakoma Wedding!! -

Nakoma was our dream venue and we are so thrilled with how our special day turned out. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is not for the faint of heart, but Jorge and his team worked closely with us on all of the details to ensure we would all be on the same page for the big day. I cannot express how impressed we were on the day of our wedding. How friendly and attentive the staff was, how yummy the food and drinks were, etc. We knew we had picked the venue we had dreamed of but the execution of everything the day of was the ‘cherry on top’! Jorge, thank you for being so incredible. Your customer service is top notch and we will always recommend Nakoma to friends and family for their future events. -

Our wedding was absolutely perfect! It went off without a single flaw and we had the most incredible time. 2020 has been tough for many, but Nakoma’s staff truly went out of their way on our special day and made it perfect. -

Heather Sent on 10/01/2017We got married there this September and there is truly no place else I would have gotten married or a single thing I would have changed. It is on the more expensive side, however for the service, and the amazing views and location you get is well worth it. All of our guests commented on how stunning the venue is and how great the food was. There was minimal stress leading up to the wedding because the wedding coordinator and planner are extremely helpful. Nakoma staff was very friendly and outgoing. It is also a plus that there is a Lodge for guests to stay right onsite. The scenery is comparable if not better than anything you would get in Tahoe. Definitely worth checking out!
