    Excellent Wedding Gowns & Service

I chose my wedding gown here 8 months before my wedding day. They were AMAZING to work with. The owner of the store stayed open later to make sure I had the dress of my dreams. She did not have a try-on limit like most places (I literally tried 42 dresses on). She is kind, funny, honest, and fun! We had the greatest time finding my dream dress here. I would absolutely recommend at least setting up an appointment and trying on dresses here even if you don't buy from her. It will be the best time and you'll probably ending up finding your dream dress!

Ladies , I love Margaret the owner ! This stuff her is amazing. I had been to 5 other bridal shops before I went here . I wasn't super excited about going dress shopping "again" but once we got in there it was all hands on deck . They ask what your price range is and keep you there . She never tried to up sell me . After hours ( which it didn't feel like ) I had narrowed it down to two dresses that I liked . As I came out of the feeding room with my "first pick "I saw my dress on another bride trying on dresses . I ask if I could try it on Margaret said try this you'll look amazing . I put that dress on and fell in love . I love that the dresses are ordered custom to your size . She told me when she placed the order that it would take 6months to get her from England. Then she called back and advised that it would be here in 4 months . I can not rave enough about this place . Only my mom, sister and two friends went with me the day I bought my dress . I went back with may bride maids to show them the dress . ( we were having issues finding them dresses ) Margret pulled my dress out and I of course tried it on again for the girls . After seeing my dress we were able to get theirs also ordered !! You will not be disappointed by going with them and you'll have a one of a kind dress .

I ended up at Village Bridal after going to two other bridal salons the same day. They were supposed to close at 5pm but they stayed open late for me to try on dresses! They definitely had the best selection of any of the places I went, and I was looking for something super specific and was able to find a couple of good options! Margaret is incredibly nice and helpful! In addition to my fittings, they also let me come in and just try on the dress with my accessories to make sure that they all went together. I also tried on some veils there but didn't feel pressured to buy it from them. Thanks so much!

I was specifically in search of a Pronovias gown which is how I found village bridal. I was able to make an appointment in a reasonably short period of time - which was great since my mom, sisters, and aunt were all coming in from out of town. We could not have had a more positive experience. The woman who helped us - I believe she is the owner - was so positive. She helped me narrow down my choices in a way that was efficient yet she wasn't pushing any of her own opinions on me. She helped with managing my mom - who wanted me to add a belt that I wasn't interested in - in the most gentle, kind yet assertive way. I appreciated it so much. I found my wedding dress that day when I fully expected it to be just another shopping day. When I went back the next week to place the order for my dress, she was so sweet and gave me a bottle of champagne to celebrate.

Also - as a bride who was on a tight budget, this store is perfect. You can get really high quality dresses and you're actually allowed to have a discussion on money up front (without the typical "Your top dollar is $1500? I'll start bringing you dresses in the $2000-$2500 range.") They have the dresses organized by price, so once you've hit your top dollar, you stop looking.

I've recommended this store to two of my friends who actually walked in and purchased off the rack - and both were able to choose gorgeous dresses under $1000.

Beyond the purchase of the dress, I used them for my alterations. That was an incredibly easy process. We did one round of alterations and the dress was perfect. Their pricing for alterations wasn't cheap, but I think it was fairly typical for a bridal shop. And they were good quality so they were definitely worth it.

After searching at several different bridal stores, a supervisor of mine suggested I try Village Bridal in the Green Hills area of Nashville. I was shocked by how many beautiful gowns they had and had difficulty picking out just one. I went to the bridal salon twice before letting my best friend/sister-in-law, dad and mom help me decide. The gown I chose was perfect for my March wedding and I would definitely send my friends to this place. The staff was completely helpful and made me feel welcomed.

I was blown away by my experience at Village Bridal. I bought a bridesmaid dress there a few years ago when they were located in Hillsboro Village and did not have a great experience so I was hesitant to go back. They are now in a new location and under new managment. I found my way there after having been to a ton of dress shops. I was very specific about what I was looking for, and Margaret pulled out 10-15 dresses fitting my criteria and proceeded to keep her shop open hours late so I could try them all on. It was a wonderful experience, and Julia the tailor did an amazing job with the fitting and bustle. Everyone should buy their dress here!!!

Brett and I want to thank you for being incredible and making our special day extra special! The gorgeous Pronovias wedding gown, silk veil, crystal hair piece and all four of my bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning!!! All thanks to you! I still hear comments from different people about how classy we all looked on my wedding day! Some relatives of Brett even said that ours was the most elegant and classy wedding they have ever attended! Everyone at this place was very professional, double checked checked my measurements and sizes before we ordered, and made length changes as we needed them without any issues. My bridesmaids looked gorgeous too in their French Tiffany chiffon floor length dresses in midnight blue. Everyone was in awe how beautiful they all looked. We want to thank the owner of Nashville Village Bridals for helping make our special day extraordinary, and dressing all of us in style! Thank you.

Village Bridal was VERY accommodating for me! I live in TX but was having my wedding in Nashville and could only come in once for a fitting and didn't tell her that beforehand. She had her alterations lady alter my dress overnight on Saturday and opened Sunday morning for me to try it on. She stayed late in a storm for me to pick my dress up wedding week too. She even reduced the price of my dress a few hundred to fit my budget because I loved it. It was the first dress she pulled for me when I showed her my Pinterest choices but had me try on a few others too so I was sure that was the one. Margaret is just great! My only small complaints are that my bustle broke wedding day which was inconvenient for dancing and the dress was altered a little too small. I had to exhale to get it zipped up the day after she did alterations so I know I didn't gain any weight. Overall they are great and will bend over backwards for you. You really feel appreciated unlike some other bridal stores.

I bought my dress, the Pronovias dress "Finnisterre" at Village Bridal. I had a hard time choosing a dress and by the time I found it, there was not enough time to order the dress from the designer, so I had to buy the one they had in the store-- off the rack! They were very flexible in letting me do this. The alterations were perfect and the dress looked absolutely flawless on the wedding day!

    I would recommend them!!!

Nashville Village Bridal is where I bought my wedding dress. I went shopping 6 months before my big day and found the perfect dress, but was told it wouldn't come in for 6 months. I was definitely worried, but it came in 4 months. They use an outside lady to alter the dress and she did a fantastic job. The dress was more expensive than what I originally planned for, but they order all of their dresses and they are unique custom dresses that you will not find at another store. I love the ladies that run the place! They were honest with me the whole time - if I was not sold on the dress they would help me by telling me it wasn't flattering. They aren't there to get you to buy the most expensive dress. I highly recommend this place!

They were fantastic when choosing and picking out my dress. I had been to about 5 different shops before them and they still had a selection of dresses that I hadn't seen anywhere else, while being very attentive and helpful. I would highly suggest anyone go and search for their dress there.

However, if you do buy your dress there, take it somewhere else to be altered. They hemmed my dress too short and pretty much refused to let it out the inch I needed to be able to comfortable sit down. Instead, they told me to lose more weight (3 weeks before my wedding and after already losing over 12 lbs). So while their services for buying the dress are amazing, skip their alterations.

After looking and looking for a wedding dress, I was able to find what I wanted at Village Bridal. However, this shop is extremely over-priced. The dress, of course, was amazing. But so expensive.

They didn't provide the awe moment most girls look for but lucky for me I didn't need that. It's a small shop and not fit for more than one bride at a time. The store becomes cramped and the ladies working become scattered.

With all of that said, Julia (who no longer works there) did an amazing job with my alterations. She was so sweet and knew exactly what needed to be done. And it takes special hands to work with that many layers and such delicate materials. I couldn't recommend her enough. Huge loss when she left this shop.

I would recommend this shop just to look at their selection. But keep shopping.. I bet you can get it cheaper elsewhere.

Village Bridal was the only dress shop in Nashville that carried the designer I was looking for. However, when I arrived to pick up my dress 2 months after trying it on to be altered, they had just started working on it that morning and it wasn't ready when they had promised. I lived out of town and I had expressed to them that I needed it ready by a certain date. It only took them 2 hours to finish the alterations they had just started. They insisted that I get my dress altered as soon as possible even though I told them I planned on losing weight. They charged $200 to alter my dress even though I was quoted only $100 (To take a small amount in on the sides). They only made very small alterations and as I had planned I lost 10 lbs before my wedding and needed it altered again before my wedding date. I found a different alteration place and they did the same alterations that Village bridal did for $50. I found later that they were over charging for the dress that I had purchased. The ladies at the shop were very nice, but I feel like they were also a bit pushy about selling their dress. My dress was beautiful though and I ended up buying the first dress I tried on.

I initially had a great experience buying my dress at Village Bridal. I was in love with my dress and the owner was so nice! That all changed when the dress came in an alterations began. The dress was way too short for my torso and my breasts would come up out of my dress every time I raised my arms. They never measured my torso when purchasing the dress, and turns out I either needed a different size or a different dress entirely as this DID NOT FIT my body type. The seamstress was pushy and not helpful. She did not have any suggestions as to how to fix the dress other than just not to raise my arms all night. SEVERAL alterations appointments later and 1 week before my wedding I decided to take my dress to another seamstress and pay a rush order (as much as the original dress cost) to get my dress fixed! The seamstress at Village Bridal had done alterations incorrectly as well- I had already paid her to take the dress in, but the new seamstress had to take the dress in an additional inch and a half!!!!!! She also had to further hem the dress which I had already paid the Village Bridal seamstress to do. Those are pretty basic alterations if you ask me. And I never received a refund or apology. Do not trust the seamstress at Village Bridal!!!! Ended up costing me a lot of stress, time, and money!

    Nashville Village Bridal's reply:

I am so sorry you had a bad experience while dealing with one of our seamstresses.
I would like to mention that none of bridal companies require to take measurements of person's torso; only bust, waist, and hip measurements are required. With all due respect, every bride has her own comfort level how low dress neckline should be. I saw your frustration during alteration process and suggested to make changes that at the end has satisfied your needs. On the day you tried the dress for the last time and picked it up afterwards, I was under impression that you and your Mom were happy with the final fitting result.
Once again, I apologize for your miscommunication and/or misunderstanding with one of our seamstresses. I wish you all of the best in the future.
    The owner of Village Bridal

This place was horrible. First off, walking in it looks like it hasn't been updated since the 70's. Then the mean lady that runs the place leaves a bad taste in my mouth. They were my first stop for a wedding dress. The lady was very short with me and didn't even have clips to hold the dress back so that I could walk around to see if i liked it. She just holds it with her hands. I went there because they are one of the few places that carried Pronovias. Anyways, I left there and found my perfect dress at The White Room. (See my other reviews) So then it came time to get bridesmaids dresses, I thought I would try them again since they were the only ones that carried the brand/style i wanted. I was nervous about just ordering off a picture online. So I sucked it up and went back in. Bad Idea!!! The same rude lady showed me the dress I wanted for my girls. I had my sister with me to try it on but the lady wouldn't even let her try it on unless we ordered it first. She said something about since I didn't buy my dress from there that the only way we could try it on is if we ordered and payed first. My sister and I threw the dress at her and stormed out.

    Nashville Village Bridal's reply:

I would like to apologize for your bad experience at Village Bridals. Village Bridals ownership has changed recently and the boutique was moved to a new location. We cherry each customer and our customers' requests are our top priority.
