    Best Day Ever

we were so happy with nathan hale...everything about it. the prep, the day of, everything was amazing. kristen was the best when it came to layout ideas and last minute details. i last minute emailed kristen, because my flowers were an hour later than expected and she responded so quick and had no problem switching our meeting time. kristen was such a great help and she is the sweetest human i've ever met. we had the best experience with nathan hale and we would recommend it to anyone!

Wonderful Experienxe & Absolutely Beautiful Location

To the reader. Our sweet daughter married the man of her dreams September of 2018.

I can’t say enough about the absolutely wonderful experience we had working with the skilled team at The Nathan Hale Homestead in Coventry, CT. Not only was the experience wonderful but the grounds lovely making the photographs of the event lasting, lovely memories and the day so very special.

We started cocktail hour on the back patio with a wonderful clear tent. wine barrel high top tables and chairs and lovely dimmed chandelier lighting rented from Taylor Rental in Manxhester CT.

The Food was catered by The Brownstone five star caterer our guests are still raving about the food and stunning presentation and fully stocked bar. The professionalism of the catering staff, outstanding chef, selection and presentation of the finest foods was well behind what I could have ever imagined. Did I mention the after party and live DJ Mark the Shark who rocked the stunningly decorated barn adorned with crystal chandeliers. sweeping large curtains from the large barn doors, 100s of twinkling votive lights on the barn shelf’s and stunning floral arrangements from Sticks and Stones, Tolland CT and Sams Club floral.

The dessert taste of the evening was the wedding cake from Modern Bakery in Hartford, CT, an assortment of outstanding homemade pastries from our Five Star + Caterer The Brownstone. Paterson, NJ and a selection of homemade Italian Ice from Chets Italian Ice to cool down those on the dance floor.

This truly was the event of the year and went off without a hitch thanks to the team at Nathan Hale Homestead and our absolutely experienced caterer Mr. Tommy Manzo owner of The Brownstone. One last call out to Ms. Debbie Vinick the wonderful Harpist who provided a great selection of dinner music under our beautiful Taylor Rental Sail tent in the lovely field at the Nathan Hale Homestead.

In closing The Nathan Hale Homestead has so much to offer. While we looked at many other barns The Nathan Hale Homestead is so unique not only in its landscape beauty but the opportunity for the guests to have guided tours of the Homestead during your event. The facility also offers f 3 barns to do what you wish. We chose the main barn for our dance hall, the smaller barn for our Candy bar, the back barn for one of our 2 bars, main barn stalls for serving Italian ice and lower barn stall for bridal party space. No other venue we visited offered this much space to do what you wish.

Five Star all the way. Let you Imigration run wild as you plan your special wedding day at this absolutely stunning location. It was so beautiful and so much fun that I would do it all over again.

God Bless and hope your day is as special as ours ways.

    Nathan Hale Homestead's reply:

    Thank you, Cynthia!
What a fun night! Everything was so magical and Hale has never looked more glamorous! Hope all is well!
    Take care!

    Beautiful New England Backdrop

We were dreaming of a barn wedding in Connecticut but were finding that such venues were out of our price range, already booked, or just not what we really were looking for (banquet halls disguised like some type of a barn interior). We also knew we were going to have a large-ish crowd (185) and wanted a space people could spread out. We considered the Nathan Hale Homestead after a family recommendation and cannot imagine having hosted our wedding anywhere else. The process of booking was smooth and easy. Whenever we wanted to visit to take measurements or ask questions, Kristen of CT Landmarks was so welcoming, flexible, and supportive. The venue is historic and authentic, just as it is versatile and functional. Our wedding was very DIY, and the Nathan Hale Homestead is designed for that. In their smart renovations, there is a large patio that can hold two tents (a 40x40 for 160 guests and 20x30 for 40 guests), a bar area for serving, a nice warming/staging kitchen for your caterer, power outlets everywhere for your band/DJ, lawns to spread out and play games, two concrete pads for food truck hookups with power and fresh water, two indoor barn spaces, proper bathrooms, tons of parking, AND to top it off, tours of the historic homestead during our cocktail hour with museum guides (something we didn't expect but are so excited they had!). The only thing we wish we could have had on our cool autumn night was a fire pit, but because of its historic designation no open flame is permissible (we found other ways to stay warm!). Truly, we feel that this place was a hidden secret that we kind of hope stays hidden a bit longer, but cannot recommend them enough! A perfect venue for our perfect day!

    Nathan Hale Homestead's reply:

    Thank you, Matthew!
What a fun and beautiful event! We're so glad you had a wonderful day! Enjoy the rest of your lives together!
