The best florists in San Diego with a whimsical flair the bride fell in love with long before the wedding. The only vendor she brought to her wedding planner already decided. Native Poppy made our wedding at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park colorful and fun. With an elegant floral arch overlooking the giraffes and rhinos, our guests absolutely loved the atmosphere. Even though it was a hot June day, our flowers stayed beautifully. Thank you to Devon and the Native Poppy team for helping make our day beautiful. We highly recommend Native Poppy for your wedding or special event. -

Native Poppy prepared the floral arrangements for our wedding this past September and they did an outstanding job. The floral arrangements and bouquets were so beautiful and exactly how I imagined!!! Everyone we came in contact with were so easy to work with and willing to help!! I am so thankful for everything they did to make our wedding day as beautiful as ever!! 10/10 would recommend!! -

Native Poppy was exceptional to work with. Their floral design is the best in the business in my opinion. Native Poppy ended up being my favorite vendor for our wedding. Their flowers just tied all my decor together perfectly and took the look of my wedding to the next level. I was SO happy I went with Natvie Poppy for our wedding flowers. So so so so beautiful. I did the a la carte option and I liked how straight forward that was. I thought the pricing was fair. Worth every penny, because those flowers were so gorgeous. -
Rosanne Sent on 09/21/2018I chose Native Poppy to do my flowers at the recommendation of my coordinator. I was having trouble finding a florist who did weddings a la carte, who was easy to reach via phone or email, and who didn't quote me extravagant prices for a couple bouquets and some boutonnieres (we were committed to DIY centerpieces). I am so thrilled that Native Poppy stepped up to bat. From the beginning, their online order service was straightforward, their customer help line was friendly and responsive, and they truly surpassed the vision I had laid out for my wedding flowers. They even tacked on a boutonniere last minute because we forgot to order one for the groom!! The flowers were so unique and they were talk of the town throughout the whole wedding. Thanks for helping out a gal who knew what she wanted in her flowers but didn't have the expertise to make it happen on her own.

Laura Sent on 10/30/2015Natalie is the most vibrant soul. Her passion for flowers and beauty extend into everything she does. Her beautiful arrangements adorned our wedding gazebo, wild and fun. My bridal bouquet was elegantly lavish and even had artichokes in them. Natalie is such a joy to work with she just gets it and requires little instruction. She was so flexible and went to great lengths to infuse our flowers with love. Thank you! -

We used Native Poppy for our wedding florals. We were at the Darlington House which is already very lush and ornate — so we just wanted some simple table flowers and bouquets for the wedding party. Their a la carte wedding flower option was perfect for us. We just ordered a bunch of individual pieces (mostly bud vases) which worked super well for our decor and budget. The flowers were all beautiful seasonal selections and fit our color preferences perfectly. No issues with delivery — all on-time and ready to go! -

Stunning florals
Natalie and everyone at native poppy is so talented! She made our floral dreams come true for our wedding. Including flower “chandeliers” to cover up some ugly lighting at our venue. Natalie created very whimsical and elegant arrangements with a wide variety of beautiful and in season flowers. She also picked out the perfect candles/ vases/ votives to compliment everything. We simply told her our color pallets and that we just liked classic, elegant, and light and she executed that better than I could have ever imagined. She and her team were responsive, professional, and extremely easy to work with. Highly recommend native poppy for all your floral needs! -

Her flowers are nothing like traditional wedding bouquets.... they are unique, stunning and can truly set the mood and ambiance of the wedding... she was so helpful in 'repurposing' flowers used at different points of the wedding to help us stay within budget. Arrangements were used to good advantange.... a corner vine for the welcome mirror, a sweet heart table drape.... accent pieces here and there... a stunning protea for the cake. -

Tara Sent on 07/10/2024Terrible experience with Native Poppy due to poor quality, ignoring our requests, and using excuses for their bad works
Our experience with ordering Native Poppy flowers for our wedding was extremely disappointing due to quality issues, Native Poppy ignoring our requested colors and vision, Native Poppy using their disclaimers as an excuse for their poorly done work, and their customer service.
The bouquets we received had some wilted, brown flowers that we had to personally cut out of the bouquets. Not all the flowers were poor quality, but there were several in the bouquets that were bad and it looked like they had found some old flowers in a dumpster and mixed them into the bouquets.
We sent our requested custom color palette and inspiration photos with our order. Native Poppy did such a bad job following the requested palette that we and the wedding party were surprised by how far off the flowers were from what they should have been. I understand that certain flowers are seasonal and selection may vary. However, we were not concerned by the types of flowers we were given, just that the colors were so different than expected. We even got some random colors mixed in that were not only outside our color palette, but literally opposite colors on the color wheel. We wanted a nice blend of similar colors in the palette, but by putting opposite colors in, it gave it a contrast that we did not want.
We bought several bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres. Not only did Native Poppy not use the color palette that we ordered, they did not even make the products in a cohesive aesthetic with each other. It was a random-looking assortment and the bridesmaids bouquets did not look good next to each other.
We expressed our dissatisfaction, but Native Poppy used their disclaimer about availability as an excuse. We know that availability can make it harder, but we felt that if they were going to go so far off and give us a totally different aesthetic, they should have at least had the decency to warn us ahead of time rather than surprising us on our wedding day when we were crunched for time.
Native Poppy is very expensive considering we were not even given the product that we ordered and wanted. We would have been much better off going to a grocery store and getting random flowers, because at least we could have actually gotten the colors that we wanted. Our color palette was not only used for our flower order, but also for other elements of the wedding décor, so the flowers not matching messed up the aesthetic. The flowers we received from Native Poppy were so far off that we will have to get our wedding photos retouched and the flowers photoshopped or cropped out so that the flowers don't look as bad with the rest of the décor. -

I pre ordered florals from them for pickup 9am Sunday morning. I was told to order online and that Sunday was better for pickup then the night before my event. I showed up at 9am to find the shop closed. I called multiple times and received no answer or call back. I drove all the way over to their shop to pick up my order. If you want a reliable and trustworthy floral company I would NOT go with this company. Very disappointed and now left screwed for my event this morning. -
