We couldn’t have made a better choice hiring Nic to be our wedding photographer! He is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about his work, patient, and more than willing to get into awkward positions to get the best shot. If you want someone who will capture the *feeling* and experience of your wedding and not just a whole bunch of posed family portraits, Nic is your guy! For our engagement photos, Nic followed us through a forest and climbed over big boulders in Lake Tahoe to capture the most amazing shots. He made us feel comfortable and the whole experience enjoyable, which is saying a lot considering how much we dislike having photos taken of us. On our wedding day, Nic was completely unphased by the indecisive weather—beautiful sunny weather with puffy clouds one minute, pouring rain the next—and didn’t skip a beat when it dumped throughout our entire ceremony and we had to transition to indoors at the last minute. He has a keen eye for unique shots and knows how to use the light to his advantage. We are so pleased with Nic’s work and will cherish the photos he took of our engagement and wedding day for a lifetime. -

Best wedding gallery ever
I’ve known Nic since high school and watched his photography for a few years through social media. When my husband and I planned our wedding, the first thing we booked was Nic. And boy, are we glad we did. Nic showed up early, got to know the wedding party, and spent time with our people so he could capture our family and friends exactly as we know them. Nic is very communicative, listens to your ideas and must-haves, and comes up with a realistic timeline from the beginning till the end of the day. If you’re looking for unique, fun, energetic pictures that you’ll cherish forever, hire Nic. -

Beyond Amazing!
Nic & Taylor are the absolute best! We have used them on more than one occasion. They are our go-to photographers! Nic is incredibly professional and communicates with his clients in a timely manner. His creativity and experience allow him to capture some truly amazing and unique shots! He is detail oriented and will make sure that you get high quality photos. We have received so many compliments on all of our photos!

Nic and Taylor did an outstanding job, in the midst of crazy hurdles and last minute changes (e.g., venue closures due to wildfires, COVID issues, etc.). We hired them for the full day, including a morning photoshoot in Yosemite NP, and they were always on point. At the end of the evening they had gotten some amazing footage, and yet we barely noticed them sometimes, as they were getting the perfect vantage point! Highly recommended, you will be very happy with the results. -

Nic was wonderful to work with. He knew every detail to capture, he had the timing down perfectly, and helped us with poses we didn’t even know we wanted!
I appreciated his obvious expertise. We met over the phone a couple of times and ironed out all of the details, from timing of pre-ceremony photos to sunset photos with my groom to the lists of various family shots I absolutely needed to have.
After the wedding is over, your photography is what you have to help relive these memories - and Nic was worth every single penny. Your photographer is one of the most important vendors you’ll select. Go with Nic! -

Nothing short of amazing!
We LOVED our experience with Nic! He was welcoming, professional, creative and really able to capture the exact look we were going for!! He was also extremely knowledgeable of the area and able to help us find the perfect photo locations and offer suggestions on timing/scheduling for optimal light. Our pictures were delivered super prompt and flawless! He definitely exceeded our expectations and we would absolutely book him again in the future. Thanks Nic! -

Where do I even begin with Nic... Simply put; Nic is amazing. He is professional, talented, accessible, down to earth, talented and made my wife and I feel at ease before, during and after our wedding. Nic has given us a gift that is priceless to us, incredible photographs and incredible experiences with him. From our very first interaction, I enjoyed Nic. His first question to us sought to understand what our dream photo of our wedding would be, one that we could envision framed over the fireplace. I really enjoyed this approach, because it showed he wanted to know what we wanted, not just showcase his talents (which are aplenty). Our wedding took many turns for the worse through the 2020 pandemic and we had to change our plans multiple times. Nic was never flustered by this and worked tirelessly to make sure our package was exactly what we wanted. Not only that, literally a week before our wedding we thought we might not even be able to hold the event due to the surge in California, but Nic worked with us to make sure we were covered. During our wedding day we had a little chat that I appreciated, he explained to me that he knew the times were rough and he wanted to do anything possible to be that ONE thing for us that would actually work out, since we were facing so many challenges. It was so sincere, this guy is a gem. Some couples may find the experience of being photographed to be a bit uncomfortable and uneasy but Nic was so easy to work with and prompted us in ways that were fun and approachable. All of these things are just experiences we have had, and I cannot say enough good things about this talented young guy. As far as the work goes; well, that speaks for itself. We are beyond satisfied and absolutely in love with the work Nic did for us. Not to mention, his price was beyond fair for the level of photos we got from him. To further speak of his accessibility; we reached out a day after the wedding for a quick sneak peak (because we had no pictures to make an announcement) and the guy worked on the fly and got us 5 beautiful pictures that we could use for our social media announcements. He did not need to do that and it left us hungry for more. Although he quotes a few weeks to get us the full picture set, he got it to us in a prompt manner and all his hard work shows in the absolute sheer beauty of his photographs.
This review may seem long, so if you are just scrolling to the end here is the synopsis: Nic is incredible, if you are thinking of hiring him dont even think twice. Contact him right away and get to know him, he's such a great guy and his work is breathtakingly phenomenal. I would give the guy 10 stars out of 5 if I could. He is was flexible, accessible, easy to work with, fun, approachable and his work is just down right incredible.

Nic was absolutely wonderful! I've always felt very awkward and unphotogenic when having my picture taken but Nic made everyone feel so comfortable. The pictures are beautiful, I have a hard time even picking a top ten because they're all so great. Thanks so much Nic! -

More Than Just A Photographer
We had such an incredible experience working with Nic Hilton. From the initial conversation all the way until photo gallery delivery the communication has been top notch. Nic made sure he knew exactly what our expectations were and made them a reality. There are many things that made Nic stand out including his ability to use photography as a means to tell a story. Ourselves, friends, and family alike had nothing but positive things to say about Nic and the photos he took. He had such a kind and genuine demeanor it made everyone feel super comfortable. We had such a great experience on our wedding night we asked if we could book him for the following day to do a Bodie Ghost Town shoot. 10/10 would recommend. Best. Photographer. Absolutely amazing!!!
Everyone told us to not skimp on the photographer when planning our wedding and after much painstaking research, we found Nic. From start to finish Nic blew me away with his accessibility, professionalism, and kindness, answering every last minute, anxiety-fueled question promptly and with total validation and acceptance. More than that, he is truly gifted at his craft. Neither my husband nor I enjoy the spotlight so being photographed for five hours initially seemed invasive and awkward, but Nic put us at ease, loosened us up, and got some incredible natural shots. My wedding photos speak for themselves. Nic had some great and innovative ideas for the shoot and managed to use the rainy weather to our advantage, resulting in some of my favorite shots of the day. It was so fun riding around Yosemite with Nic and his girlfriend, swapping stories and running like maniacs when the rain wouldn’t let up. Thank you Nic for the amazing experiencing and lifelong memories!! -

Allison Sent on 09/11/2018Nic took our engagement and wedding photos and we cannot recommend him enough! From our initial email, he was very quick, enthusiastic and professional in his responses. He is personable, polite, fun to be around, and is really good at getting people to interact in a way that looks awesome in pictures! My husband and I probably haven't had professional pictures taken since our high school portraits, but Nic made us feel so comfortable and happy throughout the whole process for both our engagement session and wedding. He was always right on time, really organized, but also flexible in terms of location, times, which photos we wanted, etc.
Most importantly, we are in LOVE with our pictures. He managed to capture the true, candid happiness of our wedding day - and so many special, wonderful moments and small details that we would have missed! He is a natural artist with a great eye who also has the technical skills to produce amazing portraits and candid photos. Nic is AWESOME in every way, and we will definitely be coming back to him for our next event needing a photographer! -

Nic was all around fantastic from start to finish! When we first met, my wife and I felt a great vibe from Nic and knew he was going to be just what we needed in a wedding photographer! He was professional but also very personable and easy to work with. He and his team were also very accommodating throughout the whole process, even when the snow started to fall right as we were about to begin the ceremony. They both braved the snow and were able to capture all the amazing moments. Not to mention, the end results were better than we could have ever imagined! Best wedding photos ever! I highly recommend Nic to anyone and everyone! -
Lindsay Sent on 09/07/2018Nic Hilton was the photographer for my daughter's wedding this June in Yosemite, CA. I can't say enough great things about Nic. From the amazing engagement photos he took in San Diego, through the rehearsal dinner and welcome party to the actual wedding day, he was amazing. Nic has the perfect balance of calm, professionalism and fun. And the photos are absolutely breathtaking.
Nic is a joy to work with. He is a great communicator, he's clear and responsive to questions --- he made the whole experience easy from beginning to end.
Nic did a great job of getting all the shots the bridal couple wanted, and not keeping them away from their guests. The family photos were done right after the ceremony, and we were able to get back to the party in no time. Nic went out and scouted locations in Yosemite at different times of day, so that the light was unique and stunning. He captured a photo of my daughter and her husband at sunset in front of Half Dome that is truly magical. He goes the extra mile to make sure that every photo is special and beautiful. In addition, I don't even recall seeing him at the ceremony. He got incredible photos, but I never knew he was there!
I highly recommend Nic. Both he and his second shooter made our daughter's wedding so special. A++++. If I could give 10 stars, I would! -
