  Best Choice!

  Choosing Nicole Donnelly as our photographer was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. She was the first vendor we hired and set the standard for us as to professionalism, collaboration, timeliness and quality of product. Even though we hired Nicole so far in advance, she was always checking in or making herself available to hear about changes or ideas as they happened. Nicole's vision for chic and beautiful things also made her a valuable asset in that way. In the end, the photos she produced to us from our engagement shoot and wedding look straight out of a magazine - and we're no models so all the credit goes to Nicole! She made us comfortable and feel natural for portrait shots, caught amazing candid moments, and highlighted all the best details of our wedding. I would highly highly recommend Nicole Donnelly Photography!!

  Nicole is Incredible!

  Working with Nicole was the easiest and best decision! She is so fun and attentive, we were lucky to get to have her as part of our big day. She was flexible, listened to our wants/needs and brought tons of creative ideas to the table. We feel that she perfectly captured not only us as a couple at our wedding but also our family and friends most genuinely celebrating us on our big day.

  Cannot recommend Nicole more! Hire her!

  10s across the board!!! Nicole captured our wedding day in the most beautiful and timeless way. I have gotten countless compliments from my friends and family on our wedding and engagement photos. The way she captured our love is so us and I can't recommend her more. Nicole was so thoughtful, knowledgable, and organized throughout the whole process. She recommended photo locations, gave us tips like to bring a friend to hold our dogs leash during our engagement shoot, and was flexible with our engagement shoot timing. We absolutely loved working with Nicole and were impressed with her every step of the way. Thank you, Nicole!! Hire her!

  Stunning Engagement Photos

  Nicole was an absolute pleasure to work with and I cannot recommend her enough. We hired Nicole for our engagement photos this summer. We took our photos on Lake Michigan with the city in the background and they are absolutely stunning.
  
  My fiance and I are definitely a bit camera shy but Nicole made us feel so comfortable and natural during our shoot. The photos came out so beautiful. Very natural, great lighting and the perfect amount of editing - Nicole definitely knows what she is doing behind the camera. She did such a great job capturing our personalities from loving to fun and goofy to more serious. The range of photos in our gallery was everything we had hoped it would be. We had so many options to choose from, some in color and some in black in white, some posed, some candid and they were all wonderful.
  
  Leading up to the shoot Nicole was so thorough and organized. She created a shared Pinterest board where we went back and forth on inspiration, outfits and locations. She helped me with last minute outfit ideas and was so supportive and helpful leading up to the shoot answering any and all questions we had.
  
  Nicole was a joy to work with and you will not regret hiring her for any special event. She will make you feel so comfortable in front of the camera and you will receive a beautiful gallery with timeless photos. Thank you again Nicole, we loved working with you!

  Beautiful Photos and Amazing Service

  We decided to take photos on one of the coldest days in Chicago and Nicole could have not been more of a champ. Her enthusiasm throughout the whole time made it relaxing and fun for us. We almost forgot about the cold! The photos were absolutely amazing. She captured every moment :)

  Engagement Session

  We worked with Nicole for our engagement session. She was amazing to work with. She was very responsive and set up an initial phone call to discuss my thoughts for the session. She then prepared a powerpoint presentation outlining the locations we would be shooting and suggested attire. Nicole really held my hand through the whole process which was great because I didn't know what to expect. She was so sweet! On the day off she helped make us feel comfortable and provided tips on poses, etc. She was also flexible moving the day of our shoot due to rain on the day we planned for. We loved our photos once we got them! Can't recommend Nicole enough!

  Poetic Romance

  Nicole is everything you want for your photographer. Her talent captured a poetic candid romance of my own fairytale. She was with me in every step of preparing for the day, never missed a beat to celebrate alongside me, and kept me on track. Her methods and approach are wonderfully organized and thorough. She makes planning easy on you while ensuring you’re enjoying the process and even provides a simple and fun method so that you can collaborate. My ideas and dreams were infused into the day and brought to life (and made far better!) through her talented photography and ability to take into account what I desired for my fairytale. Her goal was consistent throughout her planning process—what do you want out of your day and what’s important to you? Her compassionate client centric approach sets her apart from the vast ocean of wedding vendors. The dedication and service she provides extends into the entire day and made mine go so smoothly while simultaneously making pictures fun for everyone.   No matter the size, weddings can be stressful. After our first conversation we knew Nicole wouldn't be the cause of any stress. She's flexible, organized, empathetic and her goal of making your memories shine is her top priority.
  
  Even though she's busy, we never felt it. She was always around to chat about questions, concerns, etc., We had a small wedding without a planner (yikes). Nicole stepped up with her superstar organization skills including the most detailed and thoughtful timeline to set our (bride's) mind at ease.
  
  Every key moment was a point of collaboration. From the initial consultation to the mood board review ahead of our day, Nicole got "the vibe" down to perfection. We've had people talk about the fact we looked like a fake couple because the images are so perfect.
  
  My tip to couples is the "trust the process" as Nicole doesn't think about moments, she thinks about the story and overall look/feel. The end result is every single photo being perfection capturing your true selves. Honestly, I couldn't pick favorites.
  
  I cannot recommend Nicole enough. Beyond her talent, she is an absolutely lovely person... filled with energy and passion for the couples and families she captures.
  
  Another tip! Don't forgo engagement pics. You'll want as much Nicole curated content as you can get!

  Nicole was so wonderful to work with for our engagement photos and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer! Both my fiance and I were nervous because we had never had professional photos taken. Nicole made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. While the pictures never felt posed, Nicole gave us direction and guidance the entire shoot. She truly has a way of capturing classic, beautiful moments.   Magazine Worthy Surprise Wedding

  Nicole was incredible during our special day. I stumbled across Nicole looking for a Chicago wedding photographer on the Knot, looking for pictures in someone’s portfolio that could capture a casual and elegant walk around downtown Chicago. Nicole’s pictures were my favorite, so we reached out and set up a time to chat about our surprise wedding. She was able to talk us through the package that would work for us and our unique wedding (which involved walking into a bar to surprise our family and friends with a wedding that day!) . She kept us on track through the planning process and absolutely killed it on the wedding day itself. It was important for our surprise that she was able to turn around a few sneak peek photos the day after the wedding, which she nailed. Our entire party loved how she captured the day, and she made us all look magazine worthy. We cannot thank her enough and would hire her again in a heartbeat! So many of our friends asked for her information to work with her in the future. Nicole will make your special day personal and unforgettable - you won’t regret hiring her!!

The questions she asked during our initial call showed how invested she was in capturing our story in the way we wanted and we both felt so comfortable with her right away. She asked questions to both my husband and I to ensure his opinions were considered which was a first for us!

We are over the moon happy with our photos and will treasure them forever. Nicole is amazing and we are certain she will be a household name in no time at all!

  Nicole captured every moment of our wedding beautifully. I did extensive research and met with several prospects when looking for a photographer in the Chicago area to hire because I wanted to completely trust our photographer with capturing the important moments of our wedding day and then editing the photos with a clean and modern style. Nicole was the BEST DECISION we made in wedding planning. Nicole put so much care into understanding our creative vision and photography needs. Every step with Nicole, from the initial interview to discussing details and timeline, instilled confidence in me that I hired the right person! She provided us with a questionnaire to help her thoroughly understand our expectations and "must have" photos and was a listening ear when I shared my concerns about "freezing up" and looking awkward in our photos. Nicole was SO FUN to work with, she totally made us feel at ease throughout the whole day! Our entire bridal party LOVED hanging out with her, and she always maintained the utmost professionalism. She captured formal photos of important family members and the bridal party without making them look stiff. She also does AMAZING work with the attractive candid shots that every bride wants. Her photography of our wedding day tells the story of our special cultural and religious customs, the tears and the laughter through our emotional day, and all the dancing and celebration at our reception! She delivered our wedding photos in just a few weeks after our big day, and we are so pleased with how skillfully she captured our beautiful day. So often you hear "pictures don't do the beauty justice" but thanks to Nicole, they certainly do! Our family members and friends all agree!!   We are so happy we made the choice to go with Nicole for our portrait session! We love her work and everything she touches looks so good. Even more importantly, she is a pleasure to work with!!!
  It can be nerve-racking getting your photo taken, but from the very first email Nicole's warmth put us at ease. Nicole made the shoot as seamless as possible for us, so we could enjoy one another and that made for the best/cutest/most beautiful photos possible! I can't imagine what we would have done without her support and attention to detail. She listened to every idea we had and guided us through all the uncertainties of planning. Our photos are also AMAZING and we are so happy with them!

  Made our family feel so comfortable!

  We hired Nicole to do family portraits with my husband and 2 step kiddos 1 year after our wedding. We wanted to have non-wedding pictures in the home and do holiday cards.
