  Best in the business!

  Nordstrom Events and Diane were a dream to work with. From our first call, she was warm, professional, and ready to plan. She curated our timeline, communicated with our vendors (and helped us choose a couple—Jeffrey’s Greenworld and Sweet Sunflour Bakery were superb) and abated all of our stresses. We credit Diane with making our special day better than we could have ever dreamed. Despite our venue being unresponsive, we had zero concerns that our day would run smoothly with her as our coordinator—and it did! We have nothing but positive feedback for Nordstrom Events and would highly recommend them to any bride in OBX.

  Diane is a QUEEN!

  We feel so so lucky to have found Diane at the very beginning of our wedding planning process, and to have had her support and help throughout! Planning a backyard wedding from multiple states away (in a house that was under construction) is no joke, and we absolutely could not have done it without her. She is level-headed and calm, and is able to problem solve things that we would not have even considered. Diane is so professional and has everything together, but even still we felt like we gained a friend and we were sad when the wedding was over! She helped our day run beautifully - we wouldn't have changed a thing

  Simply the best!

  Oh we can not say enough about Diane. My wife and I got married in the Outer Banks from Maryland. Diane was a complete godsend and we could not have done it without her! From the many, many emails to her answering every detail, to her asking questions about things we did not even think about, to the overall wonderful demeanor that she had constantly. We could not have felt more at ease about our destination wedding with Diane on our side. By far, one of the best decisions we made was hiring Nordstrom Events! Diane - a million times thank you!

  What an amazing person to help with our special day!

  Nordstrom Events was beyond amazing! Diane was very responsive and provided recommendations with the best vendors. Coming from out of town, it was a weight off us that she has these connections. Her vendors did not disappoint either and were as stellar as her and her husband! We had a small wedding, but she gave us the same attention to detail. We even had to pivot at the last minute due to the weather (out of everyone’s control!) and she was all over it, already with a plan in hand. We are beyond grateful to have crossed paths with her as our day was perfect! We highly recommend her!!

  Amazing Experience

  Nordstrom Events is absolutely wonderful! Diane was top notch and very informative. Planning my small wedding was stress free all thanks to her! Being away from the area, I was nervous but she was so attentive and always led me in the right direction! We had the most perfect day and we loved Diane and her very inviting personality!

  10/10 Excellent Experience!

  Nordstrom Events is fabulous. Diane is so knowledgeable on the area. We are from out of state so we needed some assistance with planning. Diane recommended the location for the wedding, which was beautiful and easily accessible. Diane also recommended a dinner venue which was very good and accommodating. We felt at ease the entire process and we cannot thank you enough for helping to put our special, perfect day together. Diane also took a wonderful picture of us and it is one of my favorites!

The most stressful parts of planning a wedding, I did not have to lift a finger because Diane had it covered. I am so grateful that we found her.   Absolutely incredible experience with this company! Diane and her team exceeded our expectations completely! Would not change a thing about our special wedding day! They made sure it was beyond our expectations. From start of planning till after the wedding they had excellent communication, organization, and true care for their job and made it top priority that our day was special!   I wouldn't have an idea where to begin with Diane. She was my wedding angel! From the minute I spoke with her she was the perfect planner for my perfect day. She helped facilitate and organize my perfect day with expert organization, patience, & ease. You can tell she was made for planning. Her skills as a planner include: organization, time management, problem solving, creativity, active listening, & networking with vendors. Thats just to name a few, there isn't a skill she doesn't absolutely qualify for. If I could do my wedding over, nothing would be different. I believe it's mostly thanks to her for making it a wonderful time & experience. If you're on the fence of who to go with Diane is worth it! She is as good as it gets! Look no further because she is the best!

  I strongly recommend hiring Diane. It was the best decision ever and took a bunch of the stress off us. We live out of state but she was great at communicating with us to help give us our dream wedding and have a smooth wedding day.

It was such a relief having her on board because it took so much stress off of us as we live out of state.   Knowledgeable, flexible, all around FANTASTIC experience

  Diane is an amazing and knowledgeable event coordinator. We were planning our wedding from out of state, and Diane was a HUGE help in recommending the perfect vendors for us to connect with! When we decided to add flowers at the last minute, she quickly connected us to two options, and even offered to deliver the flowers to our venue day of herself. She connected us with our caterer and baker (the most important parts for us) and our guests along with my wife and I have not stopped raving about our food. Diane was quick to respond to all of our questions, and handled fires before they even came to our attention. Our contract with her included, chairs, tables, set up, day of coordination, DJ and more. The day of the wedding she arrived and immediately began setting up and everything looked BEAUTIFUL! We are so thankful for our time working with Diane and her team, and if we did it all over again would contact her IMMEDIATELY!!

  My husband and I were married on 9/4/22 and besides picking each other, Diane was the best investment we could have made. We live out of town, and wanted to do a destination wedding. Diane took care of everything!! She kept in touch with us every step of the way, was extremely easy to work with and made our special day one we will never forget!! I highly suggest taking her suggestions…she is extremely knowledgeable and everything that I wasn’t sure of and left up to her expertise, was nothing short of incredible. Our food was amazing, my flowers were gorgeous and the cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious!! I honestly can’t say enough about Diane and Nordstrom Events!! Our wedding day was everything we ever wanted and more!!

  Choose Diane for your OBX wedding!!!

  When I got engaged, I was overwhelmed by the entire wedding planning process. I was incredibly lucky to find Diane - she is an absolute professional when it comes to wedding planning! She knows all the vendors in the area, how to set up with OBX rental houses, and her planning and ceremony packages take so much of the stress out of the process. Thanks to Diane all of the important aspects of my ceremony are booked - and her packages are so well priced! I highly recommend Diane for anyone's Outer Banks wedding!

  Lacie and Christians Day

  5 stars isn't enough for all Diane from Nordstrom Events did for my daughter's wedding. She went above and beyond to make the day superb from the tiniest additions to seeing that the wedding went smoothly. She definitely made the day stress free.

We had to make some last minute changes due to weather, and without hesitation she made the adjustments and made me feel confident that the day would work out just as beautifully, if not even better than I had imagined it.   Exceptional Experience

  Diane and Nordstrom events was the perfect choice for us. From deciding on a location to planning to the actual day, it was a flawless event. They made it so easy and we’re able to accommodate all of our requests. To say that is was an easy experience in planning a wedding during a pandemic was an understatement.   Couldn’t have done it without them!

  We were very impressed with our recommended venue (The Pointe Golf Club), wedding coordination, and how seamless everything went throughout the day and into the final hours of the evening. Deborah & Diane were able to make planning for a wedding from a far distance easy (decor and every little detail!). Deborah & Diane's list of vendors were professional, timely, and easy to work with. Everyone we came in contact with did not disappoint. All-in-all it was the perfect day we were hoping for and cannot say thank you enough to all who were involved. Would 100% recommend Nordstrom Events! We can’t wait to get our pictures from Deborah to relive this beautiful day!

  Pleasant to work with

  We used Nordstrom Events for our small wedding (8 people total) at the OBX. They were pleasant to talk to throughout the whole process and offered up their expertise in answering questions before we could even have them! Despite the COVID pandemic closing the OBX for our original dates, Diane was super understandable and flexible with rescheduling everything to a later date. They took care of rescheduling with all of the venders. When it came time for the wedding they arrived, set everything up, and took everything back down. Excellent service!

  Attentive and Caring

  Having a wedding during COVID season was extremely difficult however, Diane did her best to make sure we had a great experience. Nordstrom events was very helpful in the organization and planning of our wedding. They proved to be very flexible even down to the day of the wedding when we had to move our ceremony inside due to the weather. Diane worked very well with our other vendors and I have heard nothing but good things from them about the organization as well. Overall, it was a great day and we had a wonderful experience. Thank you again for everything!!

  Amazing Is How I Sum Up Nordstrom Events!

  You have to hire Nordstrom events. The event went flawlessly, even better than expected. The pictures were amazing, Deb Sawyer. Diane Nordstrom, you made my event beautiful! Thank you so much!
