What a hidden gem!! My new husband and I both grew up in Naperville and never knew NIU Naperville even existed let alone that it was a beautiful and unique venue to get married! We were so pleasantly surprised when we found NIU Naperville during our wedding venue hunt. When we walked into NIU Naperville we were blown away by the beautiful floor to ceiling windows in the two story atrium. The reception room also had great floor to ceiling windows. We immediately could imagine our reception in this beautiful space and on the large patio outside. The venue is located on a man-made lake with a fountain. We couldn't believe we found such a beautiful and unique venue so close to home.
To add to our surprise, the venue price was very reasonable and it came with a knowledgeable and talented wedding planner! Gina was a joy to work with during our planning process. She was extremely flexible and was able to help us bring our vision to life. She had so many smart tricks of the trade to help us decorate the space while staying in our budget. She even let us in on how we could get FREE welcome bags to our guests staying in near by hotels!! NIU's engineer, Eric and all of the NIU staff was so helpful and willing to fill all of our crazy requests! We couldn't believe how lucky we were to work with such an accommodating staff!
On the day of our wedding NIU was completely transformed into exactly what we imagined! ALL of our guests were blown away by the venue. Many people even thought we must have "known someone" in order to have had access to this space! The amazing thing was that my husband and I didn't have to worry about any problems or small issues that may have come up on the day of the wedding because Gina was always there to help! Every part of our day was amazing but we feel so lucky that we had a reception venue that impressed our guests in every way! Thank you, NIU Naperville for all of your help to make our special day perfect!

most memorable and smooth wedding experience!

couldn’t have asked for a better vendor/venue to celebrate our wedding ceremony! NIU and specifically, Gina Kenyon, made the entire experience of having a COVID wedding super smooth, memorable and super enjoyable. it truly wouldn’t have been possible without her help!

we hosted a 3-day indian wedding at NIU in late august. with COVID, it was becoming super stressful planning our events and figuring out the logistics. but gina, made it all possible.
my family and i want to express our deepest gratitude for all their efforts, support and help. I really believe that the events wouldn't have been as amazing as they were if it weren't for the NIU staff, especially Gina!! Every single person who attended was super impressed and pleasantly surprised on how well everything was organized from the NIU side - they were extremely impressed with how much help and effort she showed throughout the festivities. We cannot thank her enough for everything she did -- whether its waking up super early to accommodate my hair and make up or letting the caterers in, setting up the rooms well in advance along with the centerpieces, super quick tear downs and getting ready for the next event, and just overall flexibility with last minute changes and requests - not once did i hear a "no" from her in anything we requested. I am super appreciative of that and it just made the whole process very smooth and reliving for us! our sincerest thank you!

Gina from NIU is fantastic. She is organized, responds to emails/phone calls very quickly, is fun, creative and will work with you until you feel 100% confident/comfortable. NIU's venue is Naperville is SUPER flexible. We were able to bring in our own alcohol, our own decorations, were able to select from 3 different catering vendors. They even let us set up a custom bags (cornhole) set for the patio during cocktail hour. The 2-story atrium is beautiful and GREAT for pictures! The outside patio is fantastic, great for pictures, a great gathering place for guests and makes for a nice "breath of fresh air" during the reception. Our wedding was PERFECT and it had a LOT to do with the flexibility and look/feel of Northern Illinois University Conference Center. Do yourself a favor and at least check out the venue. Gina is great, you won't be disappointed.

We had an absolutely stunning wedding reception at the NIU Naperville facility! The staff at NIU ensured that our day was absolutely perfect. They took care of all of our decorating and did an outstanding job. They even offered to put together the lanterns that we were going to have strung from the ceiling in the event that we ran out of time to do so. This location and the caterers that they work with, specifically My Chef, are wonderful! I would recommend this spot to anyone who wants to have a stress-free planning experience, work with overly helpful staff, and have a beautiful reception location. All of our guests were blown away by how beautiful our reception was and how convenient this facility was!!! We are trilled that we decided on this location and are so happy with how our wedding turned out!
