  Northern Lights is a stand up company

  My fiance and I booked Northern Lights before the pandemic hit and had to unfortunately cancel our reception due to restrictions. Rick is an absolute stand out guy. He didn't have to be generous. We signed a contract saying we would pay. After calling him, i learned that he agreed to rip up our contract and we are not obligated to pay. You have no idea what a relief that was to hear. I highly recommend Northern Lights DJ, not as a company that throws a kick ass party, but as a business with integrity and generosity.

  We picked Northern Lights Sounds, Light & Video as the DJ for our ceremony and reception based on a previous wedding that we attended! They did a fantastic job for both our ceremony and our reception! Chris was our DJ and he was great! He made sure he knew what we were planning for dances and music! He was very professional and kept people on the dance floor all night! We also used Northern Lights Sound, Light & Video for our uplighting in the ballroom! It was beautiful! We provided our colors to Rick and he knew exactly what he was going to do to make it look great and it was perfect. Everyone and Northern Lights Sound, Light & Video was great to work with and we would definitely recommend them to anyone!

  Excellent service...everything went without a hitch and the music/lighting/timing was perfect for the ceremony and reception. People were on the dance floor all night! We highly recommend Northern Lights DJ for your wedding

  We chose Northern Lights for our wedding and I could not have been more impressed! Rick was phenomenal to work with prior to our wedding and shaun the dj was fantastic at the wedding. They really go the extra mile. People were literally dancing all night long!!! It was great!

  Great people to work with. The owner Rick was super easy to work with and helped me a lot (I had a really hard time picking what I wanted to hear).
  
  The DJ (Dani) that worked with us the night of was AMAZING - asked me a couple of times thru the night if there was anything else that we wanted to hear. Worked with us on dealing with the shuttle etc.
  
  She even took some photos of us during the ceremony that she will email to me.
  
  Definitely would work with them again!

  Amazing DJ, he played great music, kept everyone dancing all night. Announced the wedding party for dinner and was great. Very personable and great company. Owner of the company came to the venue the week before to make all arrangement and double check set up. Awesome to work with.

  Northern Lights is definitely the DJ to choose! I feel everything from the Disc Jockey's personality, to the music selection, to the lighting was all Great! Don't blow money on some cheap DJ. All I can say is that if you hire Northern Lights for your event, You will not be disappointed!

  Northern Lights DJ did an amazing job for our wedding! We couldn't have asked for anything better. There was so much detail, time, and effort put into the slideshow, and it was phenomenal!!

  They were awesome. Easy to work with. They had a huge selection of songs to choose from and were very flexible with their show. We are still receiving compliments from all our friends and families. We had our own music ideas and they worked them in perfectly with the music they knew would be the funnest for everyone. We had people dancing all night and everyone had a great time. Originally we were going to run our own music with our ipod, but after speaking with Rick we decided it only made sense to let the pros do their job. They were very professional and the owner even showed up to make sure that everything went perfectly. They took into consideration the venue we had our reception at and customized the size of their show based on space and atmosphere. The DJ spoke with us again before the reception started to make sure that they were doing everything exactly the way we wanted. Made us not have to worry about the music, timing or anything. We were able to just have fun, which is what it is eally about.

  I had that slideshow done for me and my wife and i thought it was awesome. My guests could not stop talking about how wonderful it was. And as for the rest of the night the dj was remarkable. I dont know what that other couple expirenced but then again thats was cheap people will do. start going after the dj since he is the last vendor they see. i bet there dance was great though.

  Nothern Lights did a great job at our wedding, my only gripe is when we booked we requested a specific dj that really meshed with us and he ended up not being the dj at our wedding. Otherwise the music was great and everyone commented afterwards how much fun our dance was. I also loved how we got a demo of their system and music prior to booking with them! Rick is very fun to work with and pretty flexible with what music we wanted that they didn't have.

  I don't recommend Northern Lights. When I spoke with them on the phone, the gentleman was very nice and accommodating to our last minute needs for a DJ. At the wedding, there was some type of miscommunication. We had two separate areas in which we had the dinner (pavilion) and dance (barn). Long story short: music wasn't played until 20-30 minutes into the hour long dinner because the DJ wasn't aware he had two separate areas. I'm not pleased that I had to send one of my bridesmaids to the barn where he apparently thought he was going to sit for 2 hours until the dance. One would think he would question where he's supposed to be when he was sitting in a dark un-lit barn with just himself and his trainee.
  
  I don't know the name of our particular DJ but I wouldn't wish him on my worst enemy. I had requested 28 older (must play) songs on their website. 12 of them were played. Also, Nicki Minaj is NOT appropriate when there are little children on the dance floor. Take it as a clue to immediately stop playing music like that when the bride and bridesmaids repeatedly motion 'cut' in your direction.

  Horrible experience with this company! We had them make us a slideshow for our wedding day and they put in music video clips without telling us, it was a huge waste of money and the only disappointment on our wedding day. To make it worse they refused to refund us our money for the slideshow.
