User1141800 Sent on 04/23/2013Roby and his team were amazing. I had 9 bridesmaids, all needing different styles. Not only were the stylists able to accommodate everyone's individual needs/wants, they also made it incredibly fun. Months prior to my wedding they coordinated times with each bridesmaid so that I didn't have to worry about any of it. Unfortunately, Roby was out of town for the actual day but he made the entire experience perfect and had all stylists set for me. The stylists arrived early for us and kept the salon closed until we were completely finished. At the end of it, we were all thrilled. I highly recommend this salon. -

Sarah Sent on 08/27/2011I am incredibly disappointed with N Salo Salon.
On the day I got my trial, I did not feel as though Chris (the hair dresser) spent much time with me. It was a late appointment and he was eager to get out of work, but I felt rushed and like I was an inconvenience. My hair was not how I wanted it to be and he continually assured me that it would be different on the day of the wedding. In fact, on the day of the trial, I hated how my hair looked (other than the fact that he did get the bun to be the right size, which he did not do on the day of the wedding). I am sure that this is why the day of the wedding turned out to be such a disaster. I am saddened about the way my hair turned out on the wedding day; and it is unfortunate that in the end, I just wanted to get out of the salon because I honestly felt that Chris was not listening to me. He had to redo my hair three times. I tried to be gracious and I tried to remain calm, but now, as I get my wedding pictures back, I am more and more upset about the turn out. In addition, my maid of honor was not happy with her hair either. Chris also did hers. She went back to her room and redid what he "could not" (according to him) do. We spent a lot of money on this special occasion in order to be completely satisfied with our look, and almost everyone was gorgeous; but the bride and the maid of honor most definitely should have been the number one priority and instead it seems that we were stuck with a stylist who really is not up to the task of doing bridal hair. It is my hope that you will take this as a warning for your wedding so that you are not as disappointed as I am with the service provided at such a costly price, both monetarily, but also emotionally.
On the other hand, my make-up was flawless, my sisters-in-law were absolutely beautiful and my two other bridesmaids were so completely satisfied. My grandmother was beaming about her hair. The owner is the best one at doing hair...I should have had him.
I was also overcharged. My mom was originally going to get her hair done, but didn't. We cancelled the appointment two months in advance. The girl at the front desk told me I could not cancel the day of. I explained to her and forwarded her the email about the change two months prior, but she then would only refund half. It seemed like they did not keep track of who was who and what was what. And I'm still waiting for that check...it's been a month. It is incredibly unprofessional to charge patrons for services they did not receive, especially when the service was so horrific and traumatic for the bride.
My advice...don't go to a salon based on their cool website. Follow your gut and if your trial is crap, the big day will be too.
