    Sarah- Bride

I hired them to be the DJ for my wedding. He was amazing! He got our music preference perfectly, everyone had a blast and was dancing all night. Shawn was friendly and professional and I had no complaints at all. If you need a DJ he is the guy to hire 👍🏻

    Definition of a Professional!

We had Shawn dj our wedding and he was absolutely amazing. From the moment I first sat down with him to go over the details of the wedding his professionalism blew me away. I was nervous about how everything at the wedding would come together but Shawn put me at ease by telling me he would take care of everything and even get to the venue even earlier than anticipated to meet with the other vendors to make sure everyone is organized and where they need to be. A great dj is definite must have because they make everything happen. They are pretty much are the quarterback of the wedding. His transitions between events such as the cake cutting to first dance were amazing. He really went out of his way to fulfill every request we had. Even a last minute request I had an hour before the wedding.

Overall Shawn is the definition of a professional. He will go out of his way for you and is super approachable and very friendly. He comes highly recommended for you wedding or any other event you might have!

    Great entertainer

Shawn was reliable and eager to make our wedding play list personal, and fun. The whole wedding party danced the night away. Shawn is one of the reasons our weding was memorable. Very professional!

    Poor Dj service

First all he was professional and prompt when speaking with him. However, our issue was the day of the wedding. We had given him an idea of what music we would want played. I wasn’t too crazy with specific songs but just a general genre. Early 2000’s and 1990’s like Britney and backstreet boys etc. plus the most played wedding songs. I do not remember him playing any of those artists from the 90s and 2000’s. He played about 3 previously requested songs that I gave hime prior to the wedding. He failed to play any new requests from the guests. I had several people complain and when I wanted him to skip a song because the entire dance floor cleared out he didn’t. He has a very old setup which could be the reason he couldn’t take requests but never said he couldn’t take requests he boasted about how many songs he has access to. Overall not what I expected but decent enough if you give him all the songs you want and don’t have guest’s request songs.
He also messed up the names when announcing, not that big of a deal but we have pretty easy names

    Dear Ashley P.
I am absolutely miffed, trouble and astounded by by your disingenuous at best review of my company's performance at you wedding event. First I went above and beyond to satisfy you and your needs for your event. You received a 20% discount on services to be rendered which gave you $275 discount to begin with. Then you asked for an additional $100 off so as to solidify the contract. I in turn gave you additional services {arrival at the banquet hall 2 hours early, ceremony performance and a complimentary light show, plus additional songs beyond the contracted time] for your event at no charge! Secondly your request sheet was vague and ambiguous as to what requests you wished hear on this day. The list starts with: "Anything Backstreet Boys or NYNSC, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera - really anything popular from the 90's & 2000's including Country and R & B. [Played a large selection and can verify this by way of my Serato Playlist Journal of the day]; and
My Milkshake - Kelis [Played it]; and
The Locomotion - Kylie Minogue [Played it and the entire room did the train through the building and out to the parking lot where the Banquet manager got upset that you did this!]; and
YMCA - Vilage People [Played it]; and
Footloose - Kenny Loggins [Played it]
Get Busy - Sean Paul [started to play it and was told to switch it]; and
Everywhere I go - Hollywood Undead [did not have time to play it as I was only given 2 hours of dance music time inter mingled with formalities to be completed]; and
WAP - Cardi B [Played it was told to by Groom to remove it as it was inappropriate for the venue!]; and
    Canadian Girls [Played it]; and
Rock Lobster - B52's [Played it]; and
Seet Caroline - Neil Diamond [Played it]; and
Any popular wedding songs that get the people on the dance floor [Did play a lot!!!!]
I have the entire playlist logged on my Rane "Serato DJ Pro" Version 2.5 for your review and I also video taped and took still photo shoots to document the event [most notably you can be seen dancing quite a bit]! These clearly demonstrate you and your limited number of guests (around 45 in attendance) danced up a storm and they looked quite please with the selection played. Speaking of, your guests made numerous requests for which I played and have the "Request Sheet" readily available for your review. This includes, but is not limited to, a Rave set with "The Storm" by Darude and "Dance and Shout" by Britney Spears and more played! As to people complaining I received numerous compliments at the end of the event in which I gave you additional songs at no charge! Further, I received two tips for the music played ($5.00 from a Guest and $40.00 from a parent of the Bride and Groom). Your candor is disingenuous at best when it comes down to your description of my setup, as I have a State of the Art Highend System consisting of a Custom Designed Ultimate DJ Rack/Table with JBL Speakers, Crown xTI6002 Digital Amp, Stage One Speaker Tripods, Denon DN-HC4500 Multimedia Interface Console/Controller, Numark Professional Series CM100 Mixer, Shure and Nady Wireless Microphones and SONY ViAO Laptop system loaded with the latest Rane "Serato DJ Pro" Software! a value of over $15,000.00 in sound Equipment not to mention the $2,500.00 in lighting {Digital LED Lighting with (4) four Colored High Power Lasers by Shinp Laser, Inc. and Lighting Control] Consoles]. I also bring around 2,500 Cd's in case the computer system fails. Furthermore, I did not mess up any of the names during the intro as the names were extremely simple and there were only two couples introduced [Marilyn Daye w/Alex Merriman and Tatiana Boyle w/Sam Merriman] along with the bride and Groom [asked to be announced as Mr. & Mrs. Merriman]. The Parents [their names were extremely simple to pronounce] were in the room and were asked to stand and be recognized!. I find this review to be defamatory at the very least and would ask you to make an immediate retraction! If the event went so bad as you have claimed, then I ask you this, why was I given so many compliments at the end from you guests, received tips for my performance and the Banquet Hall complimented the event over all???
