    Excellent long-distance vendor management

    We worked with Kristi. She was phenomenal. We brought her in about 6 months from the wedding date (after we had all the vendors, but were exhausted from planning the little things, since we had rescheduled twice already). We were in CA and our wedding was in Cleveland. We handed over the info and she made things happen. There were of course tasks for us (seating chart, etc) but she made it SO much more manageable and communicated seamlessly with our vendors.

    One of the best things she did for us was make a timeline, which had plenty of leeway built in. OFTEN during my wedding day I was able to simply relax and enjoy the moment because we were on time, nothing was rushed, and everything was handled. There were no snafus (that I knew about). Kristi knew when to step up and corral relatives and when to blend into the background. After an emotional father-daughter dance, she came to check to make sure I was ok. She's great.

    Thank you Oak + Honey!

    Honestly, our wedding would not have been possible without Oak + Honey. My now-wife and I were planning our wedding from across the country and the thought of trying to wrangle vendors and finding a venue was daunting. Melanie and Melissa helped us every step of the way, making a plan with us and keeping us on track. Their knowledge of the local vendors is incredible and we were happy with every recommendation. They also gave us incredible design tips and worked with our vendors with the result being a wedding that was exactly what we wanted, even with a last minute change of plans because of weather. If you decide to trust your wedding to Oak + Honey you can relax, you're in great hands!

    Best Decision Ever!

    After having a panic attack over wedding details and logistics we decided we needed to have a month of/day of coordinator. We found Oak + Honey and soooo happy we had Melissa and Melanie to help with the rest of our planning and day of execution. They were so incredible to work with, and we were at ease the day of. They saw our vision and helped it come to life! If there were any "fires" on the big day we never would've known. You not only get amazing service with Oak + Honey, but we feel like we gained new friends in the process. Thank you again Melissa and Melanie!

    Melanie Tindell and her Oak & Honey team helped to create two beautiful weddings for our daughters! She was flexible and dependable, creative and very well respected among all the vendors and venue management. Melanie organized our oldest daughter’s destination wedding in Michigan while we lived in Cleveland and the bride lived in Colorado. She worked her magic again helping to coordinate our younger daughter’s wedding near Cleveland while the bride lived in Houston. All of her vendors in the Cleveland area proved to be professional and artistic and so attentive the day of the wedding. Our experience with Melanie and Oak & Honey was so positive and personal, I highly recommend her and her team for any wedding, anywhere!

    I could not be more thrilled with the experience I had planning my wedding with Melanie and her staff at Oak & Honey! Melanie was so easy to work with, and was there for me every step of the way. The day of my wedding went like clockwork! If anything was amiss, I had absolutely no clue as Melanie was able to take care of everything. She and her staff were so attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. If I could give Oak & Honey more stars, I definitely would! It was worth every penny to have a mice, enjoyable day with my husband and our family and friends!!

    We hired Oak and Honey events toward the end of our wedding planning process because we quickly realized that we would not be able to manage all of the details we originally planned on taking care of. We worked with Melanie and she was an absolute God-send! My father was originally a bit hesitant about paying someone to take care of day of details (I don't think he realized how many things there would be to manage), but less than halfway through the day he said it was hands down the best money we spent for that day. I honestly can't imagine how the night would have gone if Melanie and her team weren't there to help out. From guests arriving waaaaaay too early, to managing all of the curve balls thrown that day, to something as simple as constantly offering myself, my husband, and my parents whether we needed a drink, Oak and Honey made our day what it was. I encourage all brides to consider utilizing their services either as a full-on wedding planner, or to help manage those crazy last few months like we did. I promise you won't regret it!

    At the very beginning of wedding planning, I was considering not even working with a planner to save money. I'm a librarian and a planner myself, so I thought I could probably handle it. I met with A Charming Fete and while I love a lot of their work, their vibe just didn't seem to fit with what I was looking for. Then I met Melanie and she was the best mix of laid back, honest, and extremely professional. Working with Melanie was the best decision that we made during the year of our planning. She's a true expert and you end up benefiting so much from the many relationships she has with vendors all over the region and from her extensive experience. I discovered during the wedding planning process that I am WAY more type A than I thought and Melanie stuck with me through all of the tiny details and changes. She helped me communicate my vision throughout and smoothed relationships with vendors. She went way above and beyond throughout the entire process and even provided some much-needed emotional support at times. I can't recommend Oak and Honey highly enough. My wedding was so much more beautiful than it would have been without Melanie and her team and, importantly, I was so much more present on my wedding day than I would have been had I not chosen to work with them. So much love to Melanie and this company.

    I am a very organized person with a flexible work schedule, so I truly did not think I needed a wedding planner. However, once I became disappointed and nervous at my reception vendor people, I looked into it for peace of mind.
    I found Oak and Honey and talked to Melissa, and from our first phone call I just had a good gut feeling. I chose the "day of" wedding package, but Melissa helped me coordinate a LOT of details 2 months before. She contacted all of my vendors for me, and created an ongoing and changing "master timeline" of the day. I am blown away at how much my expectations have been exceeded. Melissa and the Oak and Honey team went above and beyond to make sure my day went smoothly. There are a TON of things you don't and won't think about when you're planning a wedding, and Oak and Honey was there to fill in those unknowns. I don't know how my event would have gone so smoothly without them. I was able to get ready, say I do, take pictures, and dance the night away without having to worry about background stuff.
    You have to go with this company. They take pride in what they do and it's worth every penny.

    Melanie went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect wedding day. She's organized, has great vision, and has a great understanding of her clients. Melanie made sure our wedding day ran smoothly, handling things that we weren't aware of once during our wedding day. She truly cares about her clients and pulling off the perfect event. We're constantly told that we had a great wedding and we really can't take credit for that. It's all about the people that were hired, and working with Oak and Honey Events was the best decision we could have made.

    Working with Melanie was our wedding’s saving grace. After selecting our venue, which was 4 hours away, we quickly realized that we needed help. We were referred to Melanie of Oak & Honey Events by our venue. After a single phone call, it was clear that we had the right planner because of Melanie’s philosophy on partnering with local vendors, and planning environmentally friendly events. Melanie understood the vision for our wedding immediately and helpped plan every perfect detail, she even made our escort board!!
    The day of the wedding Melanie and her team were incredible! Not only did they master set up and break down, but they were so attentive to myself and my groom, kept all vendors on schedule, and even found a second shuttle for our guests (30 minutes before the ceremony) as the original one broke down! Our day was flawless thanks to Melanie and her amazing team!

    Choosing Oak and Honey Events to help with my wedding was the best decision I have ever made. Planning a wedding is extremely stressful and I could not have done it without Melanie and her team. Melanie was so incredibly knowledgeable and made dealing with vendors very easy. She was able to take my vision and turn it into a dream come true. Literally. I had no idea how to even go about planning a wedding and she was able to make every single step very easy. I trusted her every step of the way.
    The few weeks before the wedding I kept asking her if I needed to be doing anything and she would always say "nothing! Just relax! I've got this!". She remembered all of my little details even better than I did and I could turn to her for any question I ever had. She was such a pleasure to work with and I HIGHLY recommend Oak and Honey if you are planning a wedding. They will make sure your day is LITERALLY perfect.

    My wedding was perfect! It was everything that I ever dreamed it would be, and much of that perfect design and execution was because of Melanie’s help and insights. My mom and I started planning initially by ourselves, and it was such a relief when we decided to bring in Melanie. She was incredibly organized, kept us updated throughout the planning process and had wonderful design suggestions. She thought of designs that I never would have that really made the wedding ceremony and reception beautiful. She really gets to know her clients so that her design suggestions fit with their vision for the wedding. There was no detail of the wedding that went unplanned.     Being realistic, she should probably get a 6.0/5.0 for each category. Melanie and her team are UNREAL. I could go on and on about all of the positive things I should say about Oak and Honey. What I will give in one powerful example: My grandfather passed away the DAY before my wedding. Melanie and her team acted fast and without constant prompting to accommodate such a horrible, sudden circumstance. She coordinated the redesign and reprinting of the programs. She adjusted the seating arrangements. And much more. None of which would have been possible without her. She is a true rock star and I HIGHLY recommend hiring Melanie to make your fairytale wedding come true.

    I am so glad we hired Oak & Honey Events to help us with our wedding! We opted for the "Honeycomb" package since I had already selected most of our vendors by the time I found Oak & Honey and was mostly interested in "day-of" coordination services. However, I really wound up appreciating the "month-of" nature of the Honeycomb package. Melanie and Melissa attended the final walk-through of our reception venue, created a timeline for the wedding day with all of my vendors, and made the list of things I would need to bring to the rehearsal for them to have ready for the next day. All in all, I really feel that Melanie and Melissa were absolutely essential to our wedding day going as well as it did, and I would definitely recommend Oak & Honey Events to any couples who are interested in having their wedding professionally organized so they can be fully present on their big day and really get to enjoy it!

    We would highly recommend Oak & Honey Events to anyone planning a wedding. They are very professional, efficient and caring when dealing with their clients. We had such a positive experience and they handled everything from rehearsal, wedding to reception with confidence and organization. We never had to worry about the flowers, cake, favors and decorations. It was all taken care of for us. They are excellent event planners. Glad our daughter chose them!

    We had a fantastic experience with Oak and Honey and could not imagine how we would have pulled off our wedding without them. They are incredibly organized, professional and offer great advice. They also have great relationships with so many vendors, and really helped guide us when it came to managing all of their different personalities. I'd give Melanie and Krista six stars if possible. They are amazing.

    Hiring Melanie and her team was the smartest decision I made when planning my wedding, hands-down. The year leading up to my wedding was one of the most stressful of my life--health issues, moving out of state, starting a new job, finishing grad school etc. etc. As soon as I brought Melanie on to help plan via her "pollen" package, she instantly made me feel like my dream, "pinterest-worthy" wedding was still possible, despite having just 5-ish months left before the big day.

    I'm certain her advice, recommendations, and relationships with numerous and various top vendors saved us thousands of dollars. As we got married in a barn on a farm, it was necessary to bring in many outside vendors to pull off a great and attractive wedding (e.g. caterer, linens, other rentals, DJ etc. etc.). Melanie seamlessly set up and oversaw all of these relationships, and in turn, alleviated a ton of stress and worry.

    Melanie immediately understood my vision for a "boho southwestern" wedding and aided me in pulling it off to a degree that I never could have on my own. She has an eye for detail and great design skills, but also listens well to your desires and goals for the day. Melanie pointed out many things that I would have never thought about , came up with some amazing ideas, and helped me mold my own ideas to ensure they were in my budget and otherwise feasible. Throughout the planning process, I always felt that we were working together as a team.

    Having Melanie and her wonderful assistants present on the day of the wedding to coordinate was, alone, worth the cost of the entire pollen package. Her team's tireless work that day truly allowed my husband and I a completely worry-free wedding. We knew we were in great hands and couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more!

    I have the unique perspective as the mother of both a bride and a groom that utilized the day-of coordination services of Oak & Honey Events. The weddings were approximately 1 year apart (July 2017 and July 2018). The first wedding involved a bridal party of 16, and 200+ guests. The second had no bridal party, and fewer than 100 guests.

    Both weddings were flawlessly executed, thanks to the coordination efforts of Melanie Tindell and Oak & Honey Events. We so appreciated the responsiveness of the team during the planning stages, and the coordination of the final confirmations and scheduling of all vendors. The timelines provided for both weddings were very manageable and kept everyone on track the day of the wedding.

    Melanie and her team have a great sense of design, style and attention to detail and placed all of the décor in a pleasing and sensible manner.

    When you consider your wedding budget, and all the resources you will expend to plan the best day possible, the most critical investment, in my opinion, is insuring that your vision will be perfectly executed. Because of our trust in Melanie and Oak & Honey, the families were able to enjoy the wedding day in a relaxed manner, knowing that all of the details would be attended to, and that any problems that popped up would be solved by Melanie and her team.

    5 stars all across the board. I'm so glad we went with a wedding planner. After the wedding my husband and I agreed that there was no way we could have our wedding go as smoothly and as organized as it did if we did everything on our own. We went with a month of coordinator and Katelyn was really helpful, really involved, and was always quick with her correspondence. On the day of the wedding Katelyn really made me feel at ease and was on top of everything. I highly recommend a planner, it just takes so much stress away.

    Can I give Oak & Honey Events MORE than 5 stars. I do not even know where to begin with how awesome Melanie @ Oak & Honey Events was to work with. We hired Melanie about a year out from our wedding in the early stages of planning. We live 3+ hrs from our venue and I was very stressed about finding the perfect vendors to match our style. Melanie immediately jumped into action with wonderful vendor recommendations. Over the course of a year I came to think of Melanie not as a planner but more like a close girlfriend that I could go to with anything : ) It was like she became family to my fiancee Jeff and I. She is always quick to get back to emails, texts, phone calls and willing to help with any questions you may have. When my venue's "event planner" was let go a lot of our wedding details, contracts etc were lost in the shuffle. Melanie immediately worked with the venue's owner and got everything sorted out and helped put us at ease. The month before our wedding she reached out to all our vendors, created timelines for us to follow and made sure everything was checked off on our list. Her online website helped keep us on track with a helpful timeline as well as on budget. The day of our wedding we did not have to think about a single thing- Melanie and her team took care of EVERYTHING and made our day run so smoothly. Everyone in our wedding party kept commenting on how great it was to have Melanie around handling everything. The day was more BEAUTIFUL & STRESS FREE than I could have ever imagined. Hiring Oak & Honey Events was the BEST money we spent on our wedding. I have to figure out another event to have so that I can have the joy of working with Melanie and her team again <3

    Melanie was a life saver throughout the entire process. She helped us stay on schedule and guided us during our planning stages, which helped alleviate a lot of our anxiety. It helped to have her mediate between us and the vendors, so we could concentrate more on other aspects of the wedding. She was incredibly helpful during the actual wedding day, when tensions were high, and helped us stay on track when there were many things that could have gone wrong. We were very blessed to have found her and definitely helped keep our sanity intact. I would definitely recommend her to anyone I know that is planning on getting married. Thank you so much Melanie!

    A+ ladies. We were a slightly odd couple that wanted a wedding quickly with small amount of time due to demands of our business. Melanie and Krysta were able to help us decide and conquer each task and help us move with relative ease throughout the process of planning our wedding. I have a great respect for each of them and the jobs that they do. During "the day" they directed our guests, vendors and us throughout our duties while maintaining professionalism and having fun. I'm glad that they were there and I'm so happy that they made our day run smoothly! Highly recommended!
