  We rented out the Okamoto Kitchen food truck for our wedding, and it was the perfect choice. I’d spent a month sampling food trucks in my neighborhood, but as soon as I tried Okamoto the search ended. Their food is amazing (and affordable!)- having traveled Japan and also being in culinary school, believe me... my bar was set pretty darn high! Our guests loved it- and the team was so easy to work with, which was another blessing on wedding night! Any future catering events we will use them for certain. (Even the wedding venue took down their info for future client referrals due to the quality of the food and the guests feedback!) Truth be told, we’ve even gone back on food truck night just for that awesome NomBom sandwich!!!

  We had Okamoto Kitchen food truck cater our late night food at our wedding day. It was the best food truck ever! Guests were raving about the food and some even said they heard about the food truck and been wanting to try it! Gerald from Okamoto is amazing, very personable, and has the best customer service. Would highly recommend Okamoto Kitchen for any of your future events. You will not regret it!

  I asked Okamoto Kitchen to cater for our wedding last May, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made (besides marrying my husband). We were given the option of having them bring the truck, preparing the food off-site, or preparing the food on-site. I opted for the latter since parking in the area is not the greatest, but we had access to a kitchen they could use. We took the guests' orders beforehand so that the staff would be able to come prepared. I ordered curry, katsu curry sandwiches, tofu nom bomb, miso salmon, croquette bcc, and cheese mochi sticks. I also requested for them to make a Japanese strawberry short cake to serve as our wedding cake (Have you tried one of Chizuru's cakes? If not, what are you waiting for?!). It was delicious and incredibly inexpensive. Menu items ranged between $4 (for the mochi cheese sticks) to $13 (for the miso salmon), with an average of 10 per person. The guests were all happy with what they ordered. Okamoto Kitchen is also able to take requests for special dietary needs upon requests (vegetarian, gluten free, etc). My little brother is autistic and has food aversion, so he's basically the pickiest person on the planet, but they were able to accomodate him. Mind you, this kid is so picky that he won't eat plain pasta if there's parsley on it...he'll sit there and pick it all off. He loved the mochi cheese sticks so much that he ate most of them by himself! All in all, we had a wonderful experience having Okamoto Kitchen cater our wedding and would highly recommend them to others.
