We are SO IN LOVE with our engagement pictures... seriously, I can't find enough uses for them without starting to annoy my friends and family- haha! She has such an amazing natural eye and she caught the coolest moments with what seemed like such ease. She also helped with wardrobe, planning, ideas, etc. It was so great!
Working with her was fun, easy, and made us feel like superstars. She has a way of communicating with directness but not pushiness. It made us feel taken care of and not worried. She also was SO SO professional, helpful, communicative, accommodating... I totally messed up the timeline (which messed up lighting and her whole plan) and she adjusted beautifully without making me feel bad at all- AND she still captured the light flawlessly!
Lastly, SHES SO COOL! We loved her personality and would hang out with her any time. My fiance was totally obsessed, and was so happy that we picked her. I'm a huge fan and a huge recommender of Brooke! -

I had the pleasure of working with Olive Avenue photography this past weekend. She was fun and friendly and made sure to get pictures of all the details and all the special moments. I received the pictures today from the bridal session she did a few weeks ago for the same bride and they are simply stunning. I can't wait to see the rest of the images. I would highly recommend! Her work is breathtaking! You won't be sorry. -

We booked Olive Avenue Photo as our photographer for our wedding. We are family and she gave us a great deal which was a big reason why we chose her. Plus she takes great pictures. We agreed on a price which was her 6 hour package. Which also gave us a free bridal session if we did that package. In her contract that we signed it said “no refunds” and also “I understand that if I ask my photographer to travel to a specific location more than 30 minutes from her location it is my responsibility to cover travel fees which include time, gas, food, childcare, flight, rental car, and hotel.” We understood this and agreed.
We were planning on a temple wedding and covid hit and changed those plans. It forced us to have less than 10 people so we had to elope. In our eloping sessions we asked if we could just get married and do bridals on the same day. She agreed and we did that plan. Our location was on the Salt Flats near Wendover, Utah.
After the wedding we were planning to wait until Covid ceased and we could get sealed in the temple and have her be our photographer for that as well. As we started planning for a sealing and a reception we asked her about dates that she has open and she was booked until Dec. 2021. She also told us that she made up a new policy that all of her “Covid weddings” had to be scheduled by the end of 2020. (Glad she told us as we asked her about dates Jan 5, 2021) So we decided to get another photographer so we could get sealed ASAP. At this point we thought she still owes us 4 hours of shooting. (Her normal rate is around $400/hr) so we thought we would ask for a refund so we could put it towards our next photographer. Nope, she charged us 4 of our shooting hours for her to drive. And gave us 1 more hour for our temple shooting. In our price breakdown she never told us how much it was going to cost for her to drive. She will take advantage of us and we are family. If she will do that to family what would she do to you? It’s how she is. I wish this was all....
We have been doing all of our planning over text messages and as soon as we started asking questions about hours and pay she tried to pawn us over to her email? Why?
As we emailed her we came as respectfully as we could because the contract said we had to. But we also wanted to get what we could back. And she emailed back angry, disrespectful, not answering our questions, and told us that she doesn’t have time for this even though she still owes us time. She then directed us to her website, that we had no idea about. She then just told us about the extra fee 11 months after our agreement! AWESOME! Then acted like her website was Amazon and that everyone goes there. Glad she could scam us for our money.
Also told us to get a lawyer. WE ARE FAMILY!
