  Delicious allergen friendly 3 course meal

  Olive Events did an amazing job providing catering that was accommodating to vegan and allergens (dairy and gluten), all while still creating a phenomenal 3 course meal. My guests are still talking about how incredible the food was and how those guests with dietary restrictions could finally go to a wedding and enjoy EVERY MEAL (this never happens). As person who has a dairy allergy and always has to eat before an event, making an allergen friendly meal that EVERYONE can enjoy was extremely important to me on my wedding day. Olive Events truly exceeded my expectations!

  Food was delicious

  My biggest concern about having my daughter's wedding at the majestic Midland Theater was the quality of the food. There is not a full kitchen on site, and I couldn't imagine that the food would be as good as it did at our tasting. Olive Events did a wonderful job on the food, and we received so many unsolicited comments on how delicious everything was. Service was professional and unobtrusive. Hooray for Kelsey and her team at Olive Events!

  Olive Events far surpassed our expectations for our wedding! We had no idea what we wanted, or how we wanted to do it! Olive Events was very responsive during the initial planning, and recommended an amazing menu based on our likes and dislikes! We never even tasted the food before the wedding, we just had confidence in this amazing group of people! They did not disappoint! Probably some of the most amazing food I had ever had! Additionally, I had no idea what was going to happen with anything that was left over, I did not realize that they packaged up the few leftovers that we had! This is probably a standard service, but I felt like it was above and beyond! Our family and friends will be raving about this food for a long, long time! Thank you for making our wedding day amazing!

  My husband and I really wanted to have bbq at our wedding because so many of our guests were from out of town, and they knocked it out of the park. We were on the fence about late-night snacks and made the decision about three weeks beforehand, and they were able to make it happen. I'm so glad we used Olive.

  We just had our wedding in KC on June 10th. Olive Catering was one of the best choices we made for our big day! They were very on top of it, EXTREMELY professional team and the food was incredible. I still have people asking me what & who did our catering and that it was some of the best food they've at a wedding. Thank you, Olive!

  All I have to say is truffle mac and cheese! Olive Events prepared some of the most amazing food for my wedding day. Nichole was so awesome to work with and she designed a menu to fit our budget that truly helped to make our big day wonderful. Maple pecan crusted pork tenderloin with port reduction, truffle mac and cheese, roasted summer vegetables and a spinach, strawberry salad with goat cheese and champagne vinaigrette were the talk of the town. I don't know how many people came up to me and said that this food was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Besides having amazing food, the Olive staff were so friendly to work with and provided the best service I could ask for. If you want a wedding where people will remember the food and praise you for their invite, then hire Olive, because they won't disappoint.

  You will not be sorry you booked Olive Events for your special occasion. I have now worked with Olive for three events: our daughter's engagement party, a corporate luncheon, and our daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception dinner. From the beginning, Nicole Hogan and I clicked and we both shared some of the same ideas for food selection, presentation and service. Olive Events knows what they are doing. From our very first tasting for the wedding dinner to the execution on the night of the wedding, it was flawless. Our guests raved about the food. My daughter wanted to serve family style and they made it happen. The courses were beautifully presented on the trays and in the bowls. Our guests loved the family style service. Very unique and a bit more upscale than a buffet. The servers are all professional. I always look at every detail when planning a party or selecting a caterer. Olive not only has great food, they know how to present it and how to serve it. These things are so important when choosing your caterer. Obviously, price is important, too. Olive Events will work within your budget which is appreciated, too. I highly recommend Olive Events. I will definitely be using them again and again!   Olive Events did a phenomenal job for my daughter's wedding! The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was outstanding. I have been receiving on going compliments about how great the food was. This was my first time planning a wedding. I was hopeful the food would be as good as the tasting. It absolutely was. They did a GREAT job. Would highly recommend.

  Olive Events was the caterer for our Orthopedic Surgery Resident Graduation with 180 guests! The food was absolutely yummy ... our guests very impressed! Our event coordinator, Christine was excellent and the serving staff was very polite and professional. We are excited to use Olive Events next year!

  Deciding who to chose as our caterer was a very imported decision for us. But we are very satisfied that we chose Olive Events. They were very friendly, genuine and not pretentious to work with. We could tell that they had a real love for food and that they cared about the quality. They worked with us to make a menu that exactly fit our personalities, and was very patient to discuss the menu with us many times. Really every aspect of the food was absolutely delicious and presently beautifully. Our guests loved the food. Many guests specifically compliments how good the ancho coffee glazes salmon and Mac n cheese was. The dessert bar and late night snacks were the highlights of the reception. We were so happy to have a box of cookies and cupcakes to have left over to eat at our hotel room that night! Thank you so much Olive Events!

  Hands down, some of the most delicious food I have had and served in unique and creative ways. Nicole and Marisa were incredible to work with and very flexible in the weeks leading up to the big event. I couldn't have been happier with the selection of our caterer.

  If you want to have amazing food and quality service at your wedding, use Olive Events! They were fantastic. The food was so freaking good! We had a family style meal and it worked out exactly how I planned. I still have guests asking me if I can get the receipe for their mac and cheese! My mouth is seriously watering just thinking about their food. They are visionaries for wedding food. You will NOT get the normal dry, crusty, boring food that is typical of wedding caterers. You will get succulent, delicious, mouth watering, and imaginaitve food! Thank you, Olive Events, you are the best!!

  I was recently married in July of 2011. We visited many caterers throughout the process of our search and I found Olive Events to be really friendly, easy to work with, and very flexible. I changed my mind several times on the menu and they were always willling to rework it and worked with me. They were quick in returning phone calls, questions or emails. They made the planning process really easy for me. The food was incredible and their service was excellent! I can't say enough good things about Marisa and Nicole. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is getting married!

  olive events did an incredible job with our wedding reception cocktail hour and dinner. we hired our bartenders through them as well. we had a creative wedding, and asked olive to create a menu that matched our interests and tastes and they could not have come up with something more perfect. the food tasted so good and was just the right amount of creative thinking that we wanted. during cocktail hour, we had three appetizers passed. one was a paper cone filled with homemade potato chips and another was mini grilled cheese sandwiches with a small shot glass of tomato soup. those two items were such a hit at the wedding. our guests are still talking about them! and dinner was fabulous!! olive events was very helpful in our ever-changing ideas and our many questions. they were so patient with us and answered everything we ever asked in great detail. we would recommend olive events to anyone needing a professional, thoughtful and dependable caterer.

They actually catered both our Rehearsal Dinner and our Wedding, so were an integral part of the success of our wedding weekend. They were very professional and great to work with, helping us to craft unique menus for both nights and working with us to understand our needs and expectations. Their Event Coordinator, Nicole Hogan, is really on top of the logistics for managing all of the catering needs of the event. And Head Chef and Owner, Marisa Roberts, is an incredible and creative chef who prepared two delicious menus for us! The whole team really treated our guests well and Nicole & Marisa even made sure that my husband and I had some goodies and slices of our cake packed up at the end of the night so that we'd get to taste everything. I was very happy with our decision to go with Olive Events and would use them again for other event catering needs in a heartbeat!

  GREAT food and wonderful service for our heavy Hors D'oeuvres reception for 120. We had tasted three other caterers and were just not wowed. I actually took a chance based on several strong recommendations of co-workers of the excellence of Olive Events and booked with sans tasting. I was so pleased that I did. The food and service the day of was wonderful. I did not have to worry about a thing. They were the highest priced option that we considered but it was absolutely worth it. Love that they attempt to use local ingredients as much as possible. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

  Olive Events was a wonderful caterer for my wedding day. One of the most important things for me was the food. After going to so many weddings that served the same bland chicken, green beans and potatoes, I knew that food was something I wouldn't compromise on. Lucky with Olive Events I didn't have too. AND with a my tight budget they were able to create an amazing menu that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Nicole, the coordinator, worked with me throughout my wedding planning and answered all of my hundreds of questions. Marisa, the chef and owner, was wonderful to work with. I am very picky about my food (my husband would say snob :)), but after going through a trial run of my menu with Marisa, I was blown away by the quality and freshness of the food. When she asked for any changes we wanted - no one could come up with one. Also, my venue didn't have a kitchen, making the menu even more of a challenge. But Olive Catering pulled it off.
  I would highly recommend working with Olive Catering, not only for their professionalism but for wonderful foods they create.
