The Omni has been so wonderful to work with in setting up a room block for our guests. They did not require us to guarantee a certain number of rooms and they gave our guests an amazing room rate.

The Florida Room inside the Omni Jacksonville Hotel was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding. The room itself is gorgeous, with it's breathtaking chandelier, and the acoustics for the band were just perfect. The food (filet mignon and shrimp duo) was delicious- you could literally use a butter knife for the filet, no joke, and the service was impeccable. Manager, Katherine Keiter, was with us every step of the way with the planning, and couldn't have been more helpful. Our family was made to feel like royalty the night of the wedding by everyone at the Omni; we would definately consider them again for our next big event.

Despite my daughter's wedding event being very small, we were treated just as special as if it were a large event, making my daughter feel special throughout our stay. Thanks to Holly Wright for everything she did over the course of the weeks of our planning. I was planning the event in Florida from my location in Maryland and Holly made it a breeze for me! ALL of the staff was very accommodating throughout the course of the day and the Omni Jacksonville Hotel obviously makes customer service priority one!

Everything was great at the Omni. Everyone I worked with (especially the Events and Catering Managers) were so friendly and helpful - loved them. The food was great and they were as flexible as they could be; much more so than most wedding reception vendors in the area that we spoke with. The hotel itself is also very nice, making everthing feel very classy and upscale.

We had our wedding at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation, but this is the only Omni listed on WeddingWire!! However, the hotel was amazing! I did my entire wedding myself, so the Omni was not responsible for any of my wedding setup or take down. Big KUDOS to the Omni for honoring my "DIY" wedding. Others wanted to charge outlandish fee's for a wedding they had no part of, basically to use their beach (even though I was a guest at the hotel that day)!! Overall, it was a beautiful day on beautiful property. My only complaint was there were problems when my guests tried to buy drinks at the bar, they were told they didn't accept cash... only CC or room charges, and I wasn't satisfied with the up-do my sister received, or my make-up application. I have since contacted the Spa manager, who is rectifying the situation, but I will warn other brides to be very specific and if possible, visit with the stylist prior to your wedding day.

The Omni was a beautiful loacation to have our reception. They were very professional and accommodating. Sometimes it was a little hard to get a hold of someone, but they usually repsonded within a couple of days. The only bad experience that we had with them was that they told us that they would box up food from our reception and put it in our suite so that we could eat once the reception was over. Unfortunately, my husband and I didn't have that much time to eat and we were counting on having the food in our room. When we got up there, we did not have any food. They had thrown it away. However, they did give us free room service to make up for it. All in all, I would have my reception at the Omni all over again.

they worked hard to make the day special. we had a few bumps in the road during planning, but all in all a great venue in an area that is easy for your guest to find.

The venue and decorations were beautiful. Unfortunately, in the holding room for the wedding party, we were left without food. When I called to ask where the food was, no one knew why we didn't have food and by the time they could get the hot food to us (we had both hot and cold), it would be time for us to join the reception. I requested that the hot food be served to the wedding party at the reception, but only the bride and groom received. Our main entree was a chicken meal which multiple guests complained was dry. To make matters worse, we complained about it being dry at our tasting and were told it would be taken care of. We did have two special salmon dishes for the groom and the father of the bride that were great, so if you are having a wedding here, I would recommend that. While we left the reception with much cake left behind, the next day we were told it was all gone. More minuses than pluses, so given a choice, I don't think I would go with this hotel again.

This review is of the wedding room block process with the Omni Jacksonville, only - not of the hotel’s facilities or its front of house staff. My husband and I chose this hotel for our guests’ wedding block for our wedding in October 2016, and honestly, we completely regretted it. Everything up to signing the contract was great, but once we did, our point of contact went MIA, and the only time we heard from her was when we contacted her repeatedly. A couple times, we even had to contact her manager in order to get a response. As soon as we signed the contract, we were told that our guests could immediately call the hotel and reserve a room in our block. Throughout the entire time leading up to our wedding, we had complaints that guests would call the front desk and be told "we've never heard of them/that wedding block/they're not in the system". When we'd ask our contact, and subsequently, our contact's manager, why that was happening, there was never an complete explanation. We also weren’t able to reserve the suite that we wanted because they let another couple reserve it (even after they said they’d put it on hold for us because it was “too early for us to reserve it”). The weblink for our guests to reserve rooms in our block never came to us, so we had to contact them for that in order for them to send it. And worst of all, a few weeks before the wedding, I tried to contact our hotel rep because I’d heard nothing from her lately, and after repeatedly emailing and calling, I was finally told that our rep had been promoted, so we had a new rep - None of which had been communicated to us at all. Our new rep was very nice and helpful, thank goodness, but everything leading up to this was so incredibly frustrating. The hotel is beautiful, and the desk staff, parking attendants, and front-of-house staff as a whole during our stay there was amazing - they went above and beyond for all of us. We just wished we had that same service from everyone on their team.
