  Quick and Easy

  Of everything that goes into planning a wedding, vendors who do the majority of the heavy lighting for you are a godsend. Onyx Entertainment made our decision easy, breezy, beautiful cover girl.   DJ & photo booth

  I’m so thankful to have found Onyx Entertainment for our wedding! Although we have not experienced their expertise just yet because our wedding is in September, the entire planning process so far has been such a breeze. The communication and professionalism is top notch and as a future bride, having a vendor with exceptional organization and communication is key. I’m so thankful that Onyx has their own portal to make everything so easy. They are very accommodating to any specific requests as well. We secured their DJ and Photo Booth services and are excited to have them as a part of our team on wedding day.

  Amazing Job

  Onyx was very professional and provided all of the entertainment we asked for. The DJ was awesome, very prompt, and respectful. Everyone had such a great time and I can't thank them enough! See you for our next event!

  Exactly what we were looking for

  J from Onyx entertainment was the perfect addition to our wedding day. He was very professional and with just a short call in addition to their completed questionnaire, was able to curate the perfect vibe for our evening to keep people dancing. We wanted to be as hands off with the reception music as possible to let the DJ do their thing, and the selections could not have been better. We cannot recommend them enough!

  Kept the party going

  Working with Derek was so easy and stress free. He was ready to communicate and so thoughtful. He provided honest options and time-lines. Our DJ Carson Bruce was amazing he kept the music flowing and really got the vibe of our wedding. We still get compliments about him. I would hire onyx again for our next event!

  HIGHLY recommend

  If you want your event to go smoothly and have all of your guests raving about how much fun they had- look no further. Onyx was so professional and communicative from start to finish. Our DJ was Jarrel and he was brought the best vibe to our wedding and took our requests and really customized/ added to make it so much better!! Will recommend Onyx and Jarrel over and over again. We also had a photobooth set up and they had the best props and quality photos. You can bundle so many things through them and I’m sure all of their services are amazing. Thank you so much!!

  Amazing Experience with Onyx! Absolutely recommend for your wedding.

  Our experience with using Onyx Entertainment for our wedding was exceptional!
  
  We hired Onyx for DJ services and Photo Booth services. Our DJ, DJ Jarrel, was phenomenal! He was very professional throughout the entire planning process, took into consideration our song selections and overall, as the bride made, sure I knew that he had everything covered for the ceremony and reception.
  
  He provided all of his own equipment, with backups of everything just in case and offered to provide anything else additional we needed (lapel for officiant, extra mics for singers we had and allowed our violinist and pianist to plug into his speakers). As part of the planning, he outlined all of our special requests/songs & details in a shared iPhone note so we knew exactly was going to happen & that he had it all covered - which gave me a lot of comfort as the bride.
  
  We were SO happy with J's dj-ing and emceeing - he nailed all the introductions and special dances we had like the anniversary dance, grand entrance, last dance and all that.
  
  Having a great DJ was one of my top priorities as I was planning my wedding - and I'm SO glad I found Onyx during my planning process. Every guest we talked to said DJ J did a great job. I couldn't have asked for our DJ experience to have gone any better :)
  
  We also used Onyx for the Photo Booth at our wedding - and also had an awesome experience! The guests LOVED the photobooth - which offers photos, boomerangs and gif which can be printed (photos only obviously) in sets of 3 or sent via email/sms. We chose the package that offered printouts of photos that could be kept and also 1 placed in a photo book that people could write in which we got at the end of the night. We also received a digital album with all the photos, boomerangs and gifs from our guests - which was so fun to look at! Derek, the owner of Onyx, was our photo booth attendant and he did an amazing job. We had a ton of guests comment on how great he was and also how much they enjoyed the photo booth. It was a hit!

  Above and beyond

  I would just like to say, my family and I cannot recommend Onyx Entertainment enough. I work with Derek in Nashville but live in LA and when I told them we were looking for help with my Mom's wedding, him and his wife Taylor took over & made arrangements to FLY TO LA just to take care of my Mom's wedding.
  Derek provided a Photobooth, a 360 moving Video/Photo stand, he ran sound for my band at the reception at an outdoor venue which if you do music, you know how hard that can be and he CRUSHED it. Zero feedback, clear monitors, it was a dream having him run sound. He also was the most energetic and tuned in DJ I've seen in a long time. He worked tirelessly with my Mom and her new husband on the set list and made sure to incorporate all of their favorite songs that ranged through every genre you can think of. Derek had people dancing until the wedding ended at 1 AM. Not only did he handle everything just mentioned, he also put us in touch with an incredible videographer, Jonathan Bowman (J Bowman Creative), and took all of the stress of finding someone off of our shoulders.
  
  And then there is Taylor. Where to start with this peach of a human. Taylor shot my Mom's pre-wedding with both sides of the bridal party, the ceremony, post-ceremony by the beach and the reception. Not only are her photographs absolutely stunning and unique, she is quite efficient in the way she works. She came extremely prepared with a timeline and detailed shot list and handled our rowdy crew with grace, kindness, swiftness and patience. It's so important to have a photographer who knows what they are doing, knows what lighting is going to look best and knows what shots to get all while keeping everyone in a strict timeline - especially for a wedding when chaos is bound to arise. Taylor was also very patient with our edits and touch ups and made sure my Mom was nothing short of thrilled with the end product.
  
  All in all, Taylor and Derek are some of the most talented yet genuine and kind people we have ever worked with let alone met. My Mom is extremely particular and to have her be so out of her mind happy and excited with the way everything went down at the wedding and the way the photos came out is such a huge win. All we can say is thank you, Onyx!!!!! You made our family's special day so easy and beautiful. Thank you for everything!!!

  Onyx was amazing! I loved their questionnaire that they sent out before the wedding, it really helped me pick all my songs. The DJ was so fun and kept the crowd engaged. They also had a really cool greenery background and light up sign that they set up and we used for a photo booth.

  Angelo was great! He was professional, he came to myself and my husband for questions and clarification to make sure our day was exactly how we wanted. He definitely played great music and kept our guests dancing all night! Everyone raved about how great he was and how great the music was. 10/10 best dj!

  Great staff and great value!

  We have only great things to say about Onyx Entertainment. We booked a ceremony and DJ package and we were paired with Angelo. Angelo did an AMAZING job! He totally got our eclectic, nontraditional vibe and was down for all the jokes we wanted to include (of which there were many lol) he was professional, showed up on time, made sure he was accessible for any questions we might have, and he even got our parents out on the dancefloor! I'll definitely be booking with Onyx Entertainment for events in the future!

They took the initiative to work with our photographer to get things moving and they really saved the day! They had everyone dancing, having a great time and did way more than we could have asked for. Honestly a great vendor and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. That’s not something I would say about some of our other vendors.

  Derek and his wife made my job much easier and helped with things I had not even thought about! They went above and beyond to make the sound go smoothly and all handled all transitions like a pro! They were friendly, professional and provided great quality music and photo booth memories!!
