  I cannot recommend Meghan and Opalia Flowers highly enough!! Meghan was incredible to work with from day 1 through the wedding day and after! We knew we did not want to break the bank on flowers and I knew I wanted seasonal flowers, and colors to reflect my summer wedding, but beyond that I was not very specific about what I wanted for the bouquets or centerpieces. At least not until a couple months before the wedding, when I found a picture of a bouquet on pinterest that I loved.
  
  Meghan turned my pretty vague ideas into absolutely gorgeous flowers, from the bouquets to the boutonnieres to the corsages for our moms to the centerpieces (which doubled as flowers down the aisle and meant less wasted flowers when the day was over) to the loose flowers for our cake!
  
  And to top it all off, my husband and I found a somewhat blurry photo online of a chuppah (wedding canopy for a Jewish wedding) that we absolutely loved. We showed it to Meghan and she said it would be no problem. That said, and even though we definitely trusted her, I had somewhat prepared myself that it was probably impossible for her to really make our chuppah look like that photo - we were so wrong! When we walked into our venue on the day of the wedding we were absolutely floored by the most gorgeous chuppah we could have imagined!!
  
  Not only that, when I asked Meghan if there was a way to recycle the flowers after the event, she told me that Opalia partners with a company called BloomAgainBklyn (bloomagainbklyn.org) to donate all their old flowers. You should, without a doubt, book Opalia for your wedding!

  Opalia provided the flower arrangements for our wedding in May. We went in with a hazy vision of what we wanted, but this was quickly transformed into a full plan by Ross. The flowers were truly beautiful and they did a wonderful job. I heartily recommend Opalia to any future couples.

  I worked closely with Meghan and she answered all my emails promptly, handled the daughter-mother dynamic really well and ensured my color scheme was mapped out in a very thoughtful way within the florals. Seriously, I could not have had a better experience -- and I have already referred them to 2 friends!

  We had Opalia do our wedding flowers for our Brooklyn Winery wedding. I had used Opalia previously and so my expectations were high - they exceeded every one. Working with Erin, the floral designer, was a breeze. Erin was responsive, professional and very warm. We were going for a vintage, romantic, "dusty"/purple-ish vibe and she totally got it. She executed exactly what we were looking for. Our flowers were amazing. Guests were commenting all night and more than one of them sent me pictures in the following days saying how beautiful the flowers were. I was still in awe, days later, at how exquisite they were. Just perfection.

  The service at Opalia is impeccable! They captured exactly what my vision was for my wedding. I loved my bouquet soo much, it was everything that I invisioned. The boutonnieres, corsages, maids bouquet were perfect. Erin and the staff at Opalia are wonderful and so helpful. I would highly recommended them to any Brooklyn Bride.

  To be honest, both my fiance and I were not that invested in our flowers for our wedding. I do love flowers but I didn't want to spend a crazy amount of money on centerpieces. Meeting with Barbara was amazing because she was so flexible and did not make us feel bad at all because of our smallish budget. She gave us four options to choose from and we loved them all!
  
  Working with Barbara was so great because she was so laid back and understanding. Not to mention, her work is absolutely gorgeous. I got so many compliments on my bouquet (even my photographer asked who my florist was). Overall, the flowers were the least stressful part of the planning process and it's all because of Barbara!

  Opalia created the most beautiful bouquet, centerpieces, altar pieces, boutonnieres, and other floral touches for our wedding last Saturday. We worked with Barbara, who is absolutely fantastic. My fiancé (now husband) was not as invested in flowers as in other aspects of the wedding so my mom and I worked with Barbara to come up with a floral approach that was somewhat wintery without evoking a holiday feel.
  
  Barbara did an amazing job, working with some photos and very vague descriptions from me (and my mom :)), to translate my aesthetic into reality. We had one detailed meeting with Barbara before she provided a thorough proposal that included a list of the types of flowers to be used in each piece, number/types of pieces, and a cost estimate. After that, I trusted her completely and only touched base a few times on tweaks and logistics prior to my wedding.
  
  For the event, she and her team really delivered. When I saw the flowers I couldn't believe how closely they matched the look and feel I'd been hoping for. Guests complimented the centerpieces and my bouquet multiple times throughout the wedding.
  
  Barbara worked with my budget and was straightforward in all communications. I felt like she was "on my team", helping me create a solution that would work for me monetarily while ensuring that the space looked rich and lush.
  
  My mom and I adored working with Barbara. I look forward to continuing to purchase flowers from Opalia in the years to come!

  Barbara helped me ages before the wedding, chatting our way through all the seasonal flowers and surprising me with little details that I adored. She was flexible and responsive all the way, helping me find ways to keep costs down, suggesting cuts and adaptations. There was no hard sell, no pressure ever. She let us use our own bottles and everyone at Opalia surprised me with all the little arrangements.

We always felt like Barbara had everything under control and she's a very laid-back person so nothing ever felt rushed.
  
  We got married at India House in New York City. Our venue had kind of an old NYC/antique feel to it. I collected white pitchers of varying sizes to use as centerpieces. I explained our vision to Barbara and immediately felt as though she undestood what we were looking to achieve. Our flowers were beautiful. We had so many compliments on them. Babara was awesome and was even cool when we had to make a few last-minute changes/additions. We enjoyed working with her so much, we asked her to do our rehearsal dinner flowers as well. We weren't even planning on having a florist do the flowers because we had our rehearsal dinner at a little bistro in Brooklyn.
  
  We considered several other florists and we're thrilled we made the decision to go with Opalia. Their quote was also the most reasonable estimate we got which I cannot believe since the flowers were so beautiful.

  I worked with Phoebe at Opalia flowers and she was amazing. My flowers were beautiful! I met with 5 florists but she was the only one that was able to translate my vision into reality. I loved my wedding flowers and everyone was impressed!

  We had such a wonderful experience with Phoebe. We were rather at a loss for what we wanted in terms of flowers for our intimate wedding other than wanting green and purple, but Phoebe knew exactly what to do and delivered with gorgeous bouquets, centerpieces and an altarpiece.   Barbara at Opalia was so wonderful and made our floral vision come to life! Her enthusiasm and professionalism was so appreciated and we loved working with her. Also, Opalia is the best place for flowers and arrangements we've come across in Brooklyn. Love that place!

  This was such a no-brainer; I was going to do my flowers myself and then realized that it was really just too much work to be taking on the day of my wedding. I wanted simple arrangements in vintage bottles and unique (but also simple) boutonnieres and bouquets. I had a consultation with the owner at Opalia and she was so helpful. I told her my budget and she was very clear and helpful in steering me towards arrangements that captured my wedding's style. I never felt pressured or "upselled". Our arrangements and bouquets looked great and were exactly what I wanted.
  
  Finally, if you need inspiration, pay a visit to this store; it's gorgeous and relaxing. You will see things that give you ideas. You will treat yourself to a few flowers for the hell of it.

  Phoebe was UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING!
  She stayed within our (very small) budget and gave us the most beautiful flowers imaginable.
  We wanted to keep things very simple but gorgeous and elegant. All white. Peonies and freesias and Phoebe was just phenomenal. She worked with (and stayed within!) our budget and did so beautifully. We were SO HAPPY with her!!!
  Her style and taste is impeccable and she is so wonderful to work with too!

She was very responsive, and very easy to get a long with--she not only kept my aesthetic in mind, but also offered great advice and suggestions. We wanted overflowing greenery (dusty miller, pine, spruce) with pops of jewel tone flowers, with a highlight on anemones and ranunculuses. Guests were raving about the bridal bouquet which featured a large tillandsia (air plant). I loved everything from the large altar vases down to the sprigs of pine at guests seat.

  We used Opalia for our wedding at the alger house in NYC and they were gorgeous and spectacular!! It was like a midsummer nights dream :) They worked with our budget and gave us the most beautiful selection of flowers I have ever seen! I loved them and HIGHLY reccommend them to anyone!

  Opalia was a pleasure to work with -- the flowers (bouquets, centerpieces, aisle, etc.) were all beautiful and outstanding. All centerpieces were arranged as discussed. I was a very happy bride!

  Opalia did an amazing job putting together the centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding day. The consultation process was very thorough and (being someone who is very particular about flowers) they did a great job listening to my wants/don't wants when providing an outline of my vision for the day. Erin ended up managing my event as there was a change in staff, and I was extremely pleased with the transition as well as her flexibility, eagerness, and diligence in providing the vision that was first determined during our consultation. She really went above and beyond, our arrangements were even more beautiful than I could have imagined and our guests were blown away. The flowers were fresh, lush, and lasted at least a week after the wedding. My bouquet was particularly gorgeous, I received compliments on it the whole day. All at a reasonable price that fit within my budget. I would definitely recommend Opalia for any event.

  Barbara was a pleasure to work with. From the initial meeting, she helped turn my rough vision into the most beautiful floral arrangements. I really appreciated that she listed to what we wanted but didn't just say yes to everything I suggested, she gave me her honest opinions and it resulted in the most gorgeous flowers.
  From my bouquet, to the boutonnieres, corsages, and table arrangements - everything was simply stunning.

  I found Opalia Flowers through a work associate of my husband's and we decided to go to brooklyn and check out Phoebe - the owner and florist. Since we were getting married at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, I knew I wanted to work with a local vendor with better prices than Manhattan. My first impression of her shop, Opalia Flowers, was so special. I feel in love with her shop and after meeting Phoebe to discuss the premliminary sketch and budget, we both feel in love with her. Phoebe was wonderful to work with. She worked with our budget, style ideas, and flower selection. She was very knowledgable about each flower and kept cost down for us by telling us which flowers were in/out of season. She was very flexible when it came to changing ideas around and was so nice the entire process. She was very professional and always put a thoughtful itemized bill together with details, so I knew exactly what to expect with price. The day of flowers were amazing. I keep getting praises about how beautiful the centerpieces were and all the other flower arrangements. She was prompt and set up huppa and flowers exactly how I envisioned. It was a completely stress free process and she did such a wonderful job.

  Junko helped me and was very patient looking at ideas in the store and online. I just went with roses and a bit of greenery and a matching boutonniere. My fiancé picked them up and somehow the boutonniere blew away while he was walking home. He returned to Opalia and they made a new one at no charge (it was a cream rose instead of a matching one to my bouquet, but that’s fine, it looked really nice). My bouquet was really pretty.

  I was in love with the flowers on the wedding day. It took a long time for me to find a florist. I wanted someone who would provide some what I wanted without me having to micro manage everything. The flowers were sooo beautiful and fit the ideas which I had in my head, which I was not always able to fully articulate. Everything was so beautiful and unique.
