  Celena did an AMAZING job helping us organize our reception dinner. Exceptionally kind, attentive, and organized, Celena was always available via email or for in-person meetings to discuss even the smallest of details. She made planning our reception FUN and STRESS-FREE and was happy to accommodate all of our requests. The dinner and service EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS, and all of our guests had only the best things to say about the party. We felt like we had the five-star royal treatment from start to finish. We highly recommend Celena and OCC for any couple looking for an elegant reception and an especially talented event manager, and we cannot wait to work with Celena again in the future.

  My daughter had her wedding here and it was beautiful. The service, food, atmosphere and attention to details were amazing. Celena (Catereing Manager) our contact was always helpful and accommodating. She made the entire process very easy and relaxed. The service staff and bartenders were pleasant with all our guests and had great happy attitudes. The room lighting, furniture, table settings, candles, linens all provided in our package made the entire evening very elegant and festive. Our entree selections were all delicious and large portions with wonderful salads. The view is spectacular and our guests enjoyed walking on the balcony during cocktail hour. We never felt rushed or pressured throughout the entire process. I'll miss dealing with this wonderful group and can't wait for the next event there. Happy wedding planning and if you select this venue you will be pleased!

  We recently held our daughter's wedding reception at the Orinda Country Club and it was wonderful. The facilities and spaces were beautifully set up-- exactly as we had requested and allowed our approximately 160 guests to dine comfortably, mingle, have quiet conversations, dance, etc. The coordination between outside vendors (florist, disc jockey, baker) was seamless. My husband and I were able to enjoy the party without worrying about the details.
  
  The passed hors d'oeuvres and buffet selections were well presented, plentiful, and most of all, delicious! A number of our guests commented that it was the best banquet food they had ever had. The service was on point. The staff cleared tables unobtrusively and kept the restrooms clean and supplied as the evening went on.
  
  It seemed as if every single staff member--Jeremy and Celena, of course, but also, chefs, wait staff, bartenders, maintenance personnel--was committed to making the event as special as he or she could for our family.
  
  Although the Orinda Country Club is "off the charts" elegant and impressive, the Club represents a surprisingly excellent value. The menu prices are comparable to those of other venues with no compromise of quality or ingredients. Since the Club owns its own chairs, linens, etc. and is so richly appointed, you may not want or need to rent those or purchase many additional decor items.

  The catering director, Celena was amazing. She was easy to talked to and very professional. She and her staff made our wedding a success. Thank you so much! I'm happy I chose this venue to do my wedding. Everything looks great and the service was superb.

  Celena Genest, the coordinator, is a joy to work with. She is diplomatic, has a sense of urgency, is a problem solver, honest, bright, professional and practical. She won't make promisses that she can't keep and she keeps the promisses that she makes. She helps paint a honest & maluable picture of how the venue, bar, and food can best work for you, your budget, and your guests. She adds value to the experience and the planning process. Her team of staff are also top knotch, and a well oiled machine.

  Not only is the venue incredibly beautiful and the staff amazing - the food was the best!
  Allowing our wedding to have its own personality and not having to deal with the clean-up immediately after also allowed us to enjoy the entire evening.
  Every guest and wedding member agreed that it simply could not have been better. It was truly a one stop, one party evening from start to finish.
  We cannot give it higher marks - Celena, the event coordinator, is hands down the best to work with!

  An excellent location for weddings and/or bigger parties. You get a brilliant event manager (Celena), who cares about your party and makes almost everything possible. Friendly service staff, good food, great views of the Orinda hills, and a sublime 1920s building. We would definitely choose the Orinda Country Club again for our celebration.

  We worked with Celena Genest and she was wonderful. They were very flexible on what we wanted for food. The day of could not have gone more perfectly. Celena was there every step of the way. She managed the set up of the hall with our homemade table centerpieces perfectly. She recommended a incredible photographer and worked well with all the vendors. The food was perfect. We requested a Cajun/creole buffet and we heard repeatedly all night how amazing the food was. We would highly recommend this beautiful venue and it's incredible staff.

  We had our wedding reception at the Orinda Country Club in April 18,2015. The place has a romantic feel and the chandeliers are so beautiful. I fell in love the moment I walked in. It's the perfect spot for a wedding reception. The view from the back room is spectacular! Our guest enjoyed the food and Celena was wonderful. I wanted a romantic and elegant wedding reception and Celena made sure that everything we wanted was in place the day of our wedding. The staff was courteous and friendly. Celena was very accommodating and she made sure that our bridal party was taken care of as soon as we got to the club. She brought us water during our picture taking session at the golf course and she made sure that we were on schedule without feeling hurried. Our wedding reception was amazing thanks to Celena and Jeremy.

Celena was great to work with and made sure that our day was perfect. Ou guests are still raving about the food. We went with a buffet style dinner. If you want a beautiful venue with a very professional staff I would recommend this venue

  Orinda Country Club was a beautiful place to hold our wedding reception. Overall, we had an awesome experience working with the staff members there. At the beginning there were some wedding coordinator changes that created a little bit of confusion and some re-planning with new staff members. After a few meetings we felt more comfortable on how our big day would turn out.
  
  Celena Genest and Jeremy Gregory did a phenomenal job taking my vision and creating my dream wedding. The food was amazing and all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend Orinda Country Club for any newly engaged couple that is looking for a site to hold their wedding or reception.

  Celena Genest is a breath of fresh air at OCC. She was responsive and attentive once I was able to connect with her directly. OCC is a beautiful location and the staff were very helpful during the event. The food was excellent and service was prompt. Thank you Celena!

  Orinda Country Club went through a personnel change during our planning... but Celina and Jeremy honored all of our previous agreements and were VERY responsive to our vision and they lived up to the follow-thru. We searched for a Tuscan theme facility near our church... and we found it our backyard!. They were flexible with final plate counts and we received MANY complements on the quality of the food... every quartered head salad plate set the expectation .... and the prime rib was the bomb!. This venue will work with your vision guidance and make the dreams of your event come true.

  We chose this place for its spanish style inside and the size of the venue. I am so happy with our choice because everything worked out perfect. The food was great, the service was awesome, and Celena and Jeremy were amazing to work with! They made the day stress free and it turned out perfect!

The building is gorgeous Spanish style - so sets an elegant atmosphere without having to "dress it up" with decorations. Great for pictures and a "wow" factor when guests arrive. It overlooks on a hill to the long 18th fairway - great view. And has a separate bar area with a fireplace and seating for guests to mingle, an outdoor balcony to get fresh air and look at the view over the fairway and mountains, has a great separate area for dancing, and a wonderful main room for seating of dinner. The place accomodates quite a large number, but even with only 105 guests, they set up the room such that it filled it perfectly. Staff and service are top notch, and Mariann is simply the best. She was basically our wedding coordinator as well and decorated the place and directed our florist well. We loved the venue - but really loved it more on the wedding day once we say what Mariann did. Simply amazing and we have great memories.

  Our daughter had her reception here and we have yet to get the deposit back. It has been almost a year. They will not return calls or letters or emails. It’s time to have other become involved....please be careful . We understood their was damage done and that would come out of the deposit. But they did not provide us with pictures. Did not even find out their was a problem till months down the road. Very unprofessional. The GM does not return our calls and neither does the Financial Person.....run away. We are so disappointed with this Country Club

It’s time to have other become involved....please be careful . We understood their was damage done and that would come out of the deposit. But they did not provide us with pictures. Did not even find out their was a problem till months down the road. Very unprofessional. The GM does not return our calls and neither does the Financial Person.....run away. We are so disappointed with this Country Club

  My husband and I had our wedding reception here on May 20, 2017. On the day of our wedding, everything I wanted was done as requested. The servers were amazing and so was Jared!
  
  We expected 150 guests and paid in full $19,575. Our final headcount was 98 guests which brought our total to $12,749. We received a call after our wedding from the general manager of the country club: George Parker saying that damages had been done to a golf cart by one of our guests and that it had crashed into a fence. We were extremely apologetic and embarrassed. Since no one saw or remembered the incident, we asked for proof. We were told that the money would be taken out of our $6,826 refund even though that is NOT stated in our contract. The contract simply states that there is a $2,000 non-refundable deposit. We should've been billed separately after receiving our refund. Shortly after we received the quote for the damages of the cart, but nothing in regards to the fence.
  
  On August 24, 2017, I emailed Mr. Parker asking him when our money would be refunded and if there had been a quote on the fence. He then referred me to Bailey Fence Co, who I contacted twice to try and get the quote and received no response. After following up with Mr. Parker once more, he stated that a previous incident took them 6 months to receive a quote.
  
  Time passed and we still heard no word from the country club. My husband called Mr. Parker this past month asking him if they had received a quote on the fence. Coincidently, they did a week ago. We asked him once more for photos of the damage to ensure that we were not getting overcharged. He stated that if he could not find the photos that the country club would "swallow the cost of the damages."
  
  Well today May 14, 2018, my parents received a check in the mail for amounting to $3,816.77. The country club had been holding our money for ALMOST A YEAR. And STILL, we do not have evidence of the incident.
