  Very Responsive, Very Flexible

  I first started communicating with Oak Street about 10 months before our wedding date. They were incredible responsive right out of the gate. I had some bridesmaids add hair/makeup services closer to the wedding and they were very flexible and understanding. We had so much fun with a whole beauty team right in my living room! They were professional, kind, and worked very quickly. I was nervous we wouldn't get everyone done in time, but they were done exactly when they said they would be. I am proud to support Oak Street Salon and am so glad we chose them for my wedding day. Thank you, Oak Street Salon! xo

  Fantastic talent in comforting space!

  A local friend referred me to Oak Street Salon and I'm so happy they did. I'll work a little in reverse... I loved the vibe of this place, a cozy cottage like home with all the relaxing Aveda smells. It was a perfect start to my stressful day, putting me at ease. Everyone here was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. All our hair styles stayed up through the night, despite a lot of dancing! Very thankful to have found this place, and would recommend to anyone having a wedding in the area. I had considered doing on-site services, but after coming here I'm glad I did and would stress any other bride in the area to do the same. We really felt like the salon was "ours" for the time we were in there, so it was private in that way. All-in-all, LOVED this place and will be coming back as a client!

  Fantastic on-site Bridal Services! Hair and Makeup

  For our wedding in Mahomet, IL we had all hair and makeup done onsite, as there were many moving parts with the location we chose (long-story short). Allison and Tisha came onsite, as my party wasn't very large, so we opted for just two people to come. I HAD NO IDEA BOTH just recently did up-dos for New York Fashion Week, how awesome was that news! They did a bit of a mix for everyone, as everyone wanted different styles. They were ok with that, and rolled-perfectly into whatever was being asked. Later everyone commented how happy they were with these two. Makeup was pretty great as well! Some opted for regular makeup, which most loved as Aveda has a very natural look. Myself, I opted for airbrush to look my best for photos of course! lol. Anyway, all was fantastic and I couldn't be happier. Lastly I'll also point out that they were very professional and polite. There was a lot going on, discussions happening, etc. as we got ready. They stayed on task, didn't interrupt and at times were almost unnoticeable as they worked. I know the mother of the bride was very very happy, and as most know that's a big bonus as well ;)

  Flawless Hair and Makeup, With No Trial!

  Had a great experience working with Oak Street Salon! They were quick, professional, and my hair and make-up looked flawless all evening; even the heavy hair ornament I had was still securely anchored after some very enthusiastic dancing! While my wedding was in Champaign, I live overseas and did not have time for trials. But based on a few pictures I brought, my hair and makeup looked exactly as I had envisioned - all stylists and makeup artist did an amazing job creating the natural look I was hoping for. I also really appreciate that they does not require a minimum number of people for their services. I just needed hair and makeup for myself (the bride), my maid of honor, and the two mothers. They were one of the only services I found who didn't require 5+ people or charge an extra fee for such a small party. I cannot recommend them enough!!!

  Great Group to Work With

  Allison and Tisha at Oak Street Salon were the best. They helped to create the perfect look for my wedding day. I didn’t have a bridal party, however I had 7 family members who wanted to have their hair and makeup done also. When I told Allison this, she very calmly figured out the schedule and made it all work. There was an issue a few days before the wedding with where the other seven people would be getting ready and Allison helped me figure everything out. The day of the wedding, everyone was finished on time and looked beautiful. Allison and Tisha did an amazing job and I would highly recommend hiring them as your hair and makeup team.

  Great Professional Salon to Have for your Wedding

  I couldn't be happier with my hair and that of my wedding party on the big day! Leading up, they styled a trial run of the look we had in mind. This gave me a good idea on how I'd look the day of and set my mind at ease. My hair was exactly what we talked about! On my wedding day, they came to our location with another stylist who curled and prepped hair. In the end, everyone looked fabulous and we were prepared for show time.

  Great Team, Punctual, Flexible and Prepared!

  I had a great experience working with the team at Oak Street Salon. Their front desk set everything up and responded quickly to set up my trial and day of. They were flexible even with some last minute changes. During the hair trial, Allison was so kind and worked with me to get the hair style that I wanted. I was interested in extensions and she said if I bring my own, she would place them for me. I was nervous the day of the wedding and they all came earlier than expected calming my nerves making sure we had more than enough time. My hair looked amazing all night long!! I barely needed to touch anything up. I highly recommend the team at Oak Street Salon. Thank you for all you've done!

  Excellent!

  Oak Street Salon did my and my bridal party's hair and makeup for my wedding. We all looked gorgeous!! Allison completely exceeded my expectations for my wedding look! She worked with me so much, as I tend to be somewhat indecisive :) After voicing uncertainty about my first hair trial and wanting to completely change my hairstyle, she scheduled a second trial for me. She helped combine my vision into a gorgeous hairstyle!! On the wedding day I looked even better than the trials! Allison was also extremely personable and fit in with my bridal party so well. She and Tisha even traveled to my wedding venue to give us their services! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

  Perfect Experience with Hair and Makeup

  Everything was amazing! As a picky person, I was very worried about how my hair would turn out and it was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. I have never felt so beautiful. The stylist really listened to what I wanted and created the look I wanted exactly as I pictured it in my head. My wedding day turned out amazing because I felt totally confident in my look!

  Great Experience!

  I loved working with Oak Street Salon for my wedding day. Since the first time we reached out, they were was so responsive, understanding and helpful through the entire process to make our day perfect.
  Because we had a large party we had 8 total with us which I thought would feel crowded but everything was smooth and Allison and the entire team knows how to keep things moving to make sure we were on time but loved our hair & makeup styles. Tisha and Callie did my hair and makeup and I would highly recommend the trials before. It is nice to meet the team before to get to know them but also know what you are expecting the day of. I wouldn't change a single thing about my hair and makeup and that is because of the amazing work. I would highly recommend them! Allison is now my actual hairdresser which shows how much I liked her, and Callie kept things so fun (if I need to get my makeup done in the future I will be sure to be reaching out to her). Tisha, Callie and another stylist who's name I can't remember did the bridesmaids hair / makeup and all my girls loved them and felt so beautiful the day of. Overall great experience!

  I recently learned of Wedding Wire, and was helping a friend with her planning. While here on the site, I wanted to also give some praise to the salon that did my wedding a few years ago. Allison at Oak Street came on-site for our wedding with a team of 3 stylists, and had their work cutout for them as I had myself plus 10 bridesmaids! All looked flawless, and each a unique look. With our size of group, I expected some bit of standardization. BUT, to my surprise they consulted each of my friends and gave them their own great look. Makeup was on-point as well. It's not necessarily the easiest place to find, being in a smaller town outside of Champaign, but it's well worth the look. Added plus is they mentioned their whole salon is trained at the Aveda Institute in downtown Chicago. It certainly showed, our looks were all pretty trendy. Highly recommend!!!
