    Such a beautiful place!

We absolutely fell in LOVE when we were pulling up to view this venue. I didn't even have to see the inside to say YES to this place! Patty & David were the absolute best host and they had the best personalities. We were able to have the place to ourselves for the weekend, we even got to have our 2 dogs there in our wedding! This place is large enough for a huge crowd, we hosted 150 people with ease and a huge area to dance the night away! There is a Loft upstairs that has 3 hair dresser chairs and mirrors at each that make things so much easier! There is also the CUTEST cabin that you stay at and get ready in too. This is the perfect little country, rustic barn you are looking for! You have so many options for pictures. They also have a small white church where some have been married before that is super cute! They also have a farm where you can pick your own pumpkins and corn stalks for decoration that is included in fall weddings! We are so happy with our choice! Wish we could do it again!!

I absolutely loved this venue. The owners are so helpful in every way possible. I recommend them to anyone looking to get married near Danville, VA.

The new management were absolutely horrible to work with. She was RUDE and completely embarrassed me on my WEDDING DAY! If it wasn't for my wonderful bridesmaids, forcing Mimosas down my throat, the management would have ruined my whole day. She was constantly quoting an 8 page contract that I knew nothing of, as I signed a 2 page contract. My husband and I slept in the cabin the night of our wedding and found rat feces all over the place, even on the bed. My mother in law was cleaning up the place the next day and found a dead mouse in the trash can growing mold. For the price you pay to rent this place, you still have to supply your own toilet paper, paper towels, dish and hand soap, and trash bags. You have to stack all of the tables and chairs up exactly where you left them and they don't offer linens, like they said they did at a charge. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. I will NEVER give this place another dime of my money.

My husband and I were looking for something rustic and simple, I fell in love with the outside, as well with the inside. It was obviously well used but I think that added character. The price was ridiculous for what I got, but I loved the way it looked, so that wasn’t a big issue. Getting in touch with the owner/owners mother is hard, I understand everyone has a job & this wasn’t her FT job, but it was hard. But when she was available she seemed nice. You have to set up everything yourself, tables, chairs, etc. they have a room upstairs for you to get ready in, which my fault for having a summer wedding it was extremely hot and was hard to cool down. Rest of building temperature was fine. Noticed in the upstairs there was a dead mouse in trash can because it smelled absolutely terrible. Why not take it outside? They’re Surrounded by a farm & woods. The way it smelled up there it had to have been a few days. You pay extra to have alcohol that you have to provide. Other than that, no real problems went on that weekend. If you want a rustic venue that is probably beautiful in all seasons, this is for you. But no help and almost little to no communication.

Being a guest at a wedding held at this venue was interesting. The wedding it's self ran pretty smoothly and was very nicely done. The catering was from Nikki's family restaurant and was tasty and done well. Now let's get right down to the venue! It had been raining and you had no choice but to Walk threw the grass getting your heels stuck in the ground and your shoes all muddy before walking in to the venue, there were no Stepstone or a sidewalk! The band had showed up to unload and set up their equipment for the reception and they had no choice but to drive on the grass to get Close enough to the door to unload all their heavy expensive equipment. Several of us watched as the manager of the venue call out the bride right before the wedding for letting the band drive in the grass... now first off looking at this how on earth do you expect the band to get the heavy equipment in the building? There were no sidewalks so they could roll the equipment up to the door on hand trucks.. so what did this lady think you could roll a hand truck threw grass? "yah no it don't work that way especially not on wet grass that was getting muddy" I do not know what the lady running this place was thinking. The management was very rude right before the wedding I felt so bad for the bride. I'm sorry but you would think if the management had a problem with something they would consult the issue after the wedding in a more respectful manner and not the way it was done plenty of people saw it was not professional by no means! As for the size of the venue there was about roughly 139 attending this wedding and is was a little cramped. The venue itself was beautiful inside but as for the management running it .. not so much!
