    Stunning, Intimate and Easy Event. Just perfect!

    Several members of my family were throwing an Engagement Party for my sister and I was put in charge of finding a venue. A big responsibility. Fortunately, I knocked it out of the park with Oxford House Projects. Their Private Lounge is so unique. So inviting, warm, and gorgeous and the staff were professional and amazing. We all had and wonderful evening and my sister and brother in law to be loved it! And perhaps the best part for me was that they have an all inclusive package which means my family members and I didn’t have to fight over any of the details. It was all taken care of for us. It was completely headache free! We just walked in and enjoyed! I couldn't recommend Oxford House Projects enough!

    Awesome bridal shower!

    Oxford House Projects is a gem! It was the perfect place to have my cousin’s Bridal Shower. Our guests were blown away by the colorful and unique space. What a happy place! I co-hosted the event from out of town, so it was a relief that Jennifer was able to take care of everything. The whole celebration was beyond my expectations. My cousin was thrilled. We had so much fun!

    Fairytale Wedding

    The Oxford House is an amazing venue for a beautiful, fairytale wedding! We had an intimate 50 guest wedding that was just so magical and perfect. I absolutely loved getting married under the most adorable treehouse, and all of my guests gushed over the venue and the details. I cannot stress how wonderful it is to have a wedding venue and coordinator that take care of and organize almost everything for you, so you can relax and enjoy your special day! Jennifer and her staff have an incredible attention to detail and ensured that everything was exactly how we had envisioned. We highly recommend The Oxford House!

    A Dream Wedding

    "WHERE did you guys find this venue?! It's so great!" I can't count how many of our wedding guests said that to us. We had an 85-guest wedding at The Oxford House in early March and it was so awesome. I can't recommend the venue or Jennifer, the owner, enough. Jennifer is excellent at easing the pressure of planning a huge event, and her taste completely aligned with ours. From vendor coordinating, to color scheme planning, to last minute executing—she's a pro. She correctly estimated we'd be out of bourbon immediately after cocktail hour, so she RAN OUT AND GOT SOME MORE. She's warm and present and attentive and relaxed. And the house is just so cute—and the treehouse! We couldn't be happier.

    Baby Shower of my Dreams!

    The Oxford House is unlike any other venue I’ve been to in Los Angeles, especially for a baby shower!!! You get the comforts of feeling like you’re at home (a home out of a magazine with unique style, colors and fabulous furniture) mixed with LA event space necessities all provided by Jennifer at the Oxford house. Our baby shower was coed and I’m thrilled with our choice to throw it there. We ordered from Jennifer’s vendors a meat and cheese platter to start, the yummiest taco station and a table full of gorgeously decorated cakes- I was blown away by everything she had to offer us. Thank you Oxford House!

    A true gem in the heart of Los Angeles!

    Jennifer was great to communicate with during the planning of the event. She had very helpful suggestions for catering, flowers, and cakes. The even was a huge success. Many friends during and after told us how chic and special the location was. The tree house provided lots of fun for the kids attending.

    You really do have to see the location to understand how serene and calm the backyard is. Additionally, the interior of the house is full of amazing art and books, but doesn't feel staged at all. You can tell that years of careful thought and Jennifer's incredible eye for art and culture comes through in every detail.

    We ended up using flowers and a taco truck from Jennifer's preferred vendors and it was great. We had a flower crown station that was very popular, and food that everyone was raving about.

    Best place for wedding or party venues

    BEST PLACE EVER! We just got married at Oxford House on Oct 6 of this year First, we like Jennifer! She took care of so many things with such kindness. She is the sweetest person and so helpful. It really touched me Secondly, Oxford House is beautiful! I have been to lot of weddings— during the day, at night, at homes and hotels—and nothing compares to Oxford House. For sure! The Venue has everything! We really loved Oxford House and I highly recommend it.

    Lovely, Welcoming, Wish we had found them sooner!

    Jennifer at The Oxford house was so easy to work with and put her personal touches throughout. She has the experience and the eye, got to know us and what we wanted (and didn't), and helped us taylor the options to our exact needs. The venue was beautiful and perfect for our wedding ceremony. We only wish we had found The Oxford House sooner, and we would have had the reception there too!

    The Perfect Wedding

    This was a truly amazing find. Every detail was perfect down to the snacks / wine for the bridal party to Jennifer and her Husband (and staff) helping out along the way to ensure guests were happy and everything ran smoothly. My husband and I wanted a small ceremony but the space is so unique it can work for small intimate occasions as well as much larger groups. Booking the Oxford House was the best decision we made.

    Nightmare experience

    I literally just got home from the wedding I coordinated with Jennifer at Oxford House and am so upset that I couldn't go to bed without writing my review.

    First thing first: My client was set to get married at Oxford House on today 10/12/19. On Tuesday, 10/08/19, Jennifer, the owner of the venue, called my clients (4 days before the wedding) to let them know that we had to move the wedding because the sewage pipes exploded and the venue (her house) was now uninhabitable. Luckily she already had a new venue lined up for us and was already moving all of her tables and decor items to the new house in Encino. I commend her for acting fast and getting that problem solved right away.

    When my client actually got to see the property, which was the following morning, Jennifer was a mess- with snot all over her face and she was bawling her eyes out. The whole time they toured the property she was complaining about all the money she was now spending on movers and the new venue. I understand being distraught about something like that happening but the fact is, you still have a business to run and people are depending on you to make their wedding dreams come true. As a business owner, you should never discuss your personal stresses or finances with a client and you should never appear out of control like she did that day (and every day after that). Over the past 4 days, this became a regular thing. Jennifer was consistently rude to my clients and would talk about them in an extremely negative way when they weren't around.

    This brings me to today- the day of the wedding. This morning Jennifer called the bride and told her that she might need to find another venue because the smoke from the fires was so bad and that the servers probably wouldn't work under those conditions. Rather than calling my client and stressing her out with these things on the day of her wedding, she should have called me, her wedding planner, so that we could asses the situation together and come up with a game plan- shielding our clients from any unnecessary stress. I spoke to the bride and then contacted Jennifer to let her know that if she had any questions or concerns she needed to reach out to me and not the bride. Jennifer and I then discussed the situation and I decided that we would move forward with having the wedding there in Encino and that we would not move it again. When the bride arrived to the venue shortly after that conversation, the air quality was fine, not even a wood burning smell in the air, and it was an absolutely gorgeous day. The call that Jennifer made to the bride this morning was unwarranted and unnecessary.

    Later on in the day I found out that before the bride arrived one of the bridesmaids was talking to Jennifer about how beautiful everything turned out and Jennifer began saying the most horrible things about the bride. I don't even want to repeat her words because they were so hateful and malicious I wouldn't want my client to see or hear what was said.... but it was horrible.

    Jennifer left about halfway through the evening and her assistant Jessi took over and was amazing. Jessi had been great to work with the whole time... we all loved her. However, at the end of the night (9:30pm), when Jennifer came back to check in and get everything cleaned up, she was obviously under the influence of something and was getting aggressive with guests and kicking everyone off the property. In all my years in this industry I have never in my life experienced someone as unprofessional, cruel and just flat out mean & hateful as Jennifer at Oxford House. There is no denying the actual Oxford House property is stunningly gorgeous but you couldn't pay me money to ever refer a client to host their wedding or event with someone like her. As a venue owner and wedding planner/coordinator, it is our job to protect our clients from the stressful things that can sometimes happen behind the scenes of a wedding or event but Jennifer seemed to go out of her way to make the whole experience stressful for my clients.
