I loved my experience at Panache!! I came to my appointment with 6 people and there was some issue with my appointment making the books. At first I was nervous that the day I picked with my best fried from Oregon and my sister from Boston would start off with a flop at the bridal shop but they didn't skip a beat. I had great service and there was absolutely no pressure. I cam back a few days later and bought my dress!! Love it and can't wait to see it after alterations!!

Panache Bridal in old town Pasadena was one of the best wedding decisions I made. I had a horrible experience with dress shopping with David's Bridal and the ladies and Panache Bridal were so kind and helpful. The 3rd dress I tried on there was THE ONE. At my wedding I got complements from everyone that I talked to. I was very sad when I had to take the dress off at the end of the day. Panache Bridal has a great selections and amazing service.

I read some pretty awful reviews for this place on Yelp but an attorney I used to work with got her dress there and loved it so I figured I would give it a try. They were wonderful! Yes I had to wait a bit past my appointment time but they were very courteous and helpful helping me pick out dresses while I waited for the woman who would help me to be available. I found the PERFECT dress for me (one that SHE suggested not one that my girlies and I had picked out) and the price was way below my budget! I am so very happy with the service I received at Panache and I would highly recommend to anyone, especially if you live in the San Gabriel Valley! For some reason I can't change the name here but the correct name of this vendor is Panache.

I had been looking for my dress for a couple of months and I could not find a vendor that carried my dress and I was pretty much losing hope in finding my dream dress. I was then referred over to Panache Bridal in Pasadena and during a quick break at work I called to make an appointment. The young man I spoke to was very polite and seemed very interested in what I wanted/looking for. When my family and I arrived to my appointment we were greeted right away and we felt right at home. My consultant was Griselda (love, love her) She listened to what I wanted and never tried to push me out off my decisions. She made me comfortable and beautiful in my wedding gown. I think she knew this was my gown before I even stepped into it. The Pasadena team Is fabulous...Griselda was just exceptional!

    I had a wonderful experience

I bought my dress here last Saturday morning. It was my first time and I did not know what to expect. My consultant was very kind, understanding, and kept reading my mind. She helped me find a perfect dress that I look amazing in at every angle! I can’t wait to show off my dress at my wedding! It was more expensive then what I was comfortable with for a dress but I couldn’t have found a more perfect dress for me. Would definitely recommend. I will update my review when I go to alternations!

    Dream Dress!

I found the dress of my dreams here! I actually went in planning to sew my own dress, but then I found the most perfect dress for me. I didn’t want to change one thing! Also as a seamstress, I’m pretty picky about quality, but this dress was made so beautifully. Oola and Imelda took such good care of me during the selection process, and it was surprisingly easy. I thought I might be indecisive, but this Panache exclusive dress was everything I wanted and more. The matching veil really knocked it out of the park. The dress definitely needed some adjustments at the first fitting (which stressed me out more than it should have lol), but the alterations team was so excellent and handled everything wonderfully. At my second fitting, everything was 100% perfect. If you’re looking for high quality gowns at a boutique with excellent service, I highly recommend Panache.

Panache Bridal provided me with the most beautiful and unique gown for my wedding day. I can proudly say that my gown was a knockout and look back on the big day with so much joy, much of which was attributed to how amazing I felt in the gown that was provided by Panache. The team did a great job at working with me on the right pricing for my designer gown and when it got down to the wire, making sure I felt just right in it.

I recommend that any bride who wants to look her very best in a truly unique gown run to Panache!

I had such a great experience working with Panache Bridal of Pasadena from selecting my dress all the way through fittings and finally taking it home! They made me feel so comfortable and welcome trying on as many dresses as I needed until I was confident I had found the one. The styling of my dress they did making suggestions for jewelry, the veil, and headpiece were absolutely beautiful and I could have never put it all together myself. The dress turned out absolutely beautiful and they were even able to add off the shoulder straps for me, which really completed the look. They were respectful of my budget as well and were able to work within it without any difficulty. I had a great experience working with Panache and would definitely recommend them for your wedding dress!

There isn't a bridal gown under $1500 in the entire store. That being said, they do carry nice designer dresses, but I hear the selection is better at the Beverly Hills store. When I bought my dress here it was called Marylinn's Bridal.

They accommodated adding a train (extending it) from the designer, and they accommodated a first fitting early enough so that I could take advantage of an accessories sale. (After I bought the dress for full price when they denied my designer would have a trunk show...)

I did have some difficulty with picking up the dress and accessories- it took a while and the accessories were not ready in time, (I had to schedule ahead of time with them to pick these items up). I actually had to return twice to pick up my dress and veil because it wasn't ready. Also they didn't let me pick up my dress as soon as I paid for it in full, which was a little stressful.

Alterations were kind of high, turned out I just needed a bigger petticoat, (they didn't sell the right size for my dress- I found this out when I took my dress elsewhere for alterations/ bustle).
Overall the staff was polite, but I did have to really put my foot down to get things done.

This place is expensive, so don't come in here looking for a deal. The service was good my first time in, (and it was the first place I went to when shopping for my gown).

Get your dress there...and nothing else!

I got my dream wedding dress at Panache Pasadena. I found their selection to be amazing, their staff to be sweet, and everything to be upfront and honest during our appointment. It was easy to book an appointment, and my mom and I did not feel pushed. We even put the dress on hold, went to go get a cup of coffee, talked it over, and came back. With no pressure. We paid for the dress in full.

After the dress came in, we did feel the tone had changed. The dress came very early (2 months early!), which was a positive! But once it came, I was pressured by the staff to pick the dress up during very specific hours that don't work well with anyone who works full time. Pasadena is also not central to LA, and there were limited hours I could get the dress, look it over, and try it on to make sure it was what we ordered. They did work with me to find a time that was not mid-week so I didn't have to take off work to do it. But, I had to come within 3 days. It was almost like I worked for them.

However, their alterations process is something I will echo with other reviewers. They said they offered a basic "package" for alterations of $800. When I asked what was included in this package, they didn't have a list of services they could send me so they had to write one up and email me. Anything outside of that (very basic) $800 was extra. That felt strange since $800 seemed high. Then, the alterations appointments were also not flexible with work schedules and only did specific days. I also had a couple of strange phone calls with the manager, just asking clarifying questions about what was included, that felt pushy and rude.

Ultimately, I decided not to go with the alterations after reading reviews and comparing this service to others in the city. I just had a bad feeling about it. I went with The Williamsburg Seamster, who, for under $800 did a total custom alteration with refitting the bodice and a custom bustle.

When I went to pick up my dress, I tried it on. I felt so beautiful. I said "I look beautiful." The store's manager (a woman, not sure her name,) said "You would be...if you had gotten alterations from us." As if me feeling beautiful in my dress is conditional on hiring Panache. It hurt my feelings, for sure. I thought I was mishearing, and she said it AGAIN. The Williamsburg Seamster said not much work needed to be done on the dress, fyi. Women don't need to hurt other women or body shame or make them feel bad.

Summary: Buy your dress from Panache for sure! As for the rest, rethink it!

I'm going 2.5 stars - right down the middle for Panache. On some levels there are very helpful. Others, not so much.

Everything went smoothly until it came time for alterations. I had to fight for them to do things that I should not have had to fight for. I would have walked out of there with a very obviously ill fitting dress of it were up to them. DO NOT PAY FOR ALL OF YOUR ALTERATIONS UP FRONT because they will get lazy about it.

Also - and this is HUGE:
My dress had a lipstick mark on it when I picked it up. I don't wear lipstick so it certainly wasn't from me. I believe someone else tried on the dress. Perhaps one of the girls who works there. Unfortunately the mark is near a pleat and I didn't notice till I was packing it to fly - now I have to have it rush cleaned 4 days before my wedding for $300 which was not part of the budget.

Horrible service once you purchase something. Once you have given them money, they could care less about quality, and customer service.

Go somewhere else or LIE about your wedding date

Griselda was absolutely lovely. She was so kind. She was not pushy at all. She gave me and my mom the entire layout of the store, telling me how it was organized by designer and gave me the approximate price per designer. She let me choose whatever dresses I wanted to try on. She didn't make me feel pressed for time. She let me go at my own pace.

We ended our first appointment, and I wasn't ready to commit to a dress as I was still exploring options.

I ended up finding THE dress at another bridal salon, where I also had a lovely helper. However, Panache is more convenient for me to do alterations with, so I was hoping to purchase through them.

I called the salon to see if they had the dress since they carry the designer. The women who helped me on the phone were super kind. They told me they'd call their other locations. Ultimately, none had it, so they called the designer and were able to special order the dress rental for my appointment for a $200 fee (which was reimbursed with purchase of a dress). They also were able to transfer in another dress I wanted to try on from another Panache location that had it.

At my second appointment, they were so accommodating. I brought a large group (5 people with me). They offered me a private back room, but I opted for a large mirror space. They offered the whole party waters and had put champagne on ice in the back waiting for me to say yes to the dress. My second appointment lasted 3 hours as I struggled to decide between my top 3 dresses. Griselda was so so so patient. She was amazing. I chose my dress. THE dress that I initially saw at the other salon, AND Panache's price was $200 less than the other salon. Woo!

After such a positive experience with trying on and buying the dress, I am so frustrated. My wedding was in June, so thankfully all of this is behind me, but I want to save the next person from this disappointment and annoyance.

I ordered an Enzoani dress from Panache Pasadena. At the time I ordered with Griselda, I told her I planned to add custom beading with Panache alterations specialists, which we both knew would take months.

I ordered the dress in July 2018, with my wedding in June 2019, which I figured would be plenty of time. I was told when I ordered it would take 4-5 months for my dress to come in, so I figured it would arrive November/December.

I called end of December to the store for an update since I hadn't heard from them. The woman I spoke to was kind and told me according to their online system my dress had a ship date of January 1 and that I should have it by end of January and they'd call me to update me.

After no contact, I called end of January and asked where is my dress. The woman I spoke to this time was semi-rude and sort of laughed at me. She said she didn't know where I'd gotten my information from but said she tells her bride Enzoani takes 6-7 months and that I'd likely have my dress end of February and that I'd get a call back.

After again no contact, I call back end of February wanting an update. This time I get the "ordering manager" was how she identified herself. She told me that they delayed ordering my dress because my wedding was so far away when I ordered and they didn't want me to worry about holding on to my dress before my wedding. I naturally was furious and explained how I purposefully ordered my dress so far in advance because I had massive alterations planned for it. Hearing the worry in my voice, she told me she'd contact Enzoani and get an update and call me back the next day.

Two days later after not getting a call back, I called the store. This time I got Griselda. She told me the ordering manager wasn't working that day. She told me the ordering manager was wrong and that my dress had been ordered right away but that Enzoani was just backed up and delayed my dress. She said my dress would arrive in a week. Of course it took 2-3 weeks after that for my dress to actually arrive, so I got my dress END OF MARCH 2019 after ordering JULY 201.

Panache gave me so many different excuses as to why my dress arrived so late, I don't know what is true. It stressed me out, which is not what a bride needs. I took my dress to be altered at the Panache Beverly Hills store, so I will review that experience on their page, but I do want to note that Panache Beverly Hills told me they wouldn't be able to do my requested alterations in time for my JUNE wedding because I "didn't give them enough time" I had them call the Pasadena store who basically told the Beverly Hills store they had to get my alterations done in time because of the mess up in delivering my dress, so I did get the dress with the alterations I wanted, but only after the biggest headache of my entire wedding planning process. GET YOUR DRESS SOMEWHERE ELSE! OR LIE ABOUT YOUR WEDDING DATE! TELL THEM IT IS 2 MONTHS BEFORE IT ACTUALLY IS! I WISH I HAD!

The Consultant Made Us Cry, And Not In The Good Way

I've been obsessed with Panache for about ten years. When my sister got engaged, I brought up Panache all the time. Finally we went (with my mom as well). Bottom line up front: all 3 of us cried after we left, and not in the good way, and the fantasy of my "perfect" bridal salon is now crushed.
The consultant started of with 3 of her picks, instead of the bride/MoB/MoH picks. She seated us with a full entourage, bride, and consultant between us and where my sister was standing to look at the dress, but gave us dirty looks whenever we stood up to come closer and look at the dress. Every time any of us (yes, bride included) said something critical about a dress (e.g. not liking the buttons or preferring a lower neckline), she contradicted us and told us how it was actually a GOOD thing, and other staff members backed her up. She excluded my mom when they went to the back room to pick out more dresses. She said the words "That's not what she wants" every time my mom or I picked a dress, as if she knew my sister better than us (it was, in fact, exactly what she wanted.) Then, at the very end, they would not give us any information about the dress that she loved. "It's in our file." We drove all the way out there, but weren't allowed a picture or a name to show to the person actually PAYING for the dress. Additionally, they claimed it wasn't online and didn't have a name. The fact that I now have the named dress on a pinterest board, as well as a list of other salons that stock it, shows that they only wanted to make a sale in the moment and cared neither for the bride actually LIKING the dress, nor for us ever coming back.
It is a shame, because the staff who had assisted my sister with making the appointment on a previous day had been very kind and courteous.
As for the dresses themselves: she only tried on dresses below $2000, and there were plenty of options. However, they were not well-organized. $6000 beaded mermaids were next to $1800 satin ballgowns from different designers.

This is NOT the Kleinfeld experience

If you're looking for the Kleinfeld experience, do NOT come here! This place is awful! Total 180 experience compared to Lovella bridal. Also, Panache is not good for large groups.

My group and I enter for our appointment, and no one tells us what to do. Finally I check in at the desk.

When I called to make my appointment, I was speaking to Erika and told her to book my appointment with her. My consultant was not Erika. It was Griselda. When making my appointment, I told them I was going to have about 6 people. (I ended up having 7). For some reason, they didn't have enough seats for us. They were scrambling to find a place for us to sit because Griselda's section only seated 3 or 4 people.

When we’re finally seated, we’re still waiting around, so I go to the desk to find out what's the hold up. Also, because I didn't know what I was doing. No one gave me any direction.

Turns out, you have to go pick your own dresses from the racks, which I did not like. I felt like I was at Ross sifting through the racks. At this point, I was so done with the place compared to just coming from Lovella. I told my group to just go have fun and pick out dresses.

I ended up trying on dresses that were picked from my group, and also the consultant did end up bringing some options.

What I did not like about trying on dresses is that the consultant just hands you the dress to put it on yourself. At Lovella, the consultant puts the dress on the ground and opens it up so I can step into it, and she helped me get it up. At Panache, they just hand it to you. When taking the dress off, my consultant would many times forget to unzip me. When I walked out to show my group my dress, the consultant never asked me how I felt in the dress or what I liked about it. Sometimes she would even leave to go find other dresses.

This whole experience was just awful. I guess if you don't care about being catered to, then come to Panache. But I suggest not and just going to Lovella.

Do not buy your dress from this terrible place.

If I ever needed to warn a fellow bride about a bridal dress store it would be to stay away from Panache Bridals of Pasadena. This store knew my wedding was months away and botched my order beyond repair. Management was useless and the employees are clueless. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars and left with my whole wedding dress experience ruined by Michaela and Imelda. I purchased my dress and veil in the beginning of March and was told it would be cleaned and fixed within a week or two. I also purchased fabric, that was meant to have appliqué that matched my dress so that I could add sleeves. A MONTH passed with no word, I attempted to call and kept getting ignored. I finally got a hold of someone and they state that “they do not do dress cleanings” and the fabric I order is plain tulle fabric. At this point my wedding is 2 months away and I was told to call back because the manager wasn’t in. I called again and kept getting ignored or redirected that the manager wasn’t in and I needed to call back.

I finally got a hold of the manager, Imelda and she starts to repeat the same thing the previous employee told me, that they don’t clean the dresses and I would need to pay extra even though I was promised by Michaela my original “helper” that my dress would be cleaned. Imelda then goes on to tell me to get the original appliqué I wanted for my sleeves— which I already paid hundreds of dollars for— I needed to pay another $600 for and that there is no guarantee it will be there in time for my wedding. I am horrified at what this store put me through as someone who never leaves a bad review about ANYONE I felt the need to speak up for what these people put me through.

Finally the manager found a solution for THEIR mistake and really tried to make me feel bad that she would need to purchase another veil from her own pocket as though I hadn’t already spent thousands of dollars. In the end when I went to pick up my dress and 2 veils (one for wearing and one to cut up for my sleeves), I found out they had already cut up the veil and said they did it as a “favor for me”. THEY GAVE ME SCRAPS OF THE VEIL and instead of giving me all the fabric and appliqué that I needed, they gave me cut up botched little pieces instead of just giving me the entire veil. This place scammed me and took my money and treated my like crap or that I was crazy.

For your own sanity stay away from these people and this store. I would not wish my experience on anyone.

    Disappointed

This place was good while I was purchasing/looking for my dress (my assistant Michaela was very patient) but the attitude changed completely once the dress was purchased. I see that other reviews have said the same thing so listen to the bad reviews and don’t go here.

My dress needed alterations and the seamstress did not speak a word of english, which became a problem because the person translating was just one of the employees who acted like she was doing me a favor and did a half-a** job. Many times she wouldn’t even relay my concerns to the seamstress but just answer them herself…. Only for me to find out later she had told me the wrong thing. I had to go back to fitting and alteration appointments more times than I cared to because something kept being wrong…and each time I felt dismissed and unheard. At some point I was playing charades with the seamstress trying to get her to understand what I meant. My dress turned out ok at the end… not perfect but I gave up on perfection by that point. It was a very frustrating process and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

    Your worst nightmare

    One word=NIGHTMARE.

    STAY FAR AWAY.

I’ll be as concise, honest and fair as possible.

I went dress shopping here during Black Friday 2018. It was a positive experience and I felt warmth and well looked after. I said “yes to the dress” after two visits and was ecstatic. Little did I know, it was all going to go rapidly down hill from here...

August 2019-my dream dress had arrived. I planned to open my dress box during my makeup/hair trial so I could try on the veil with my hair done. Makeup=perfect, hair=gorgeous, I open the box.

    It was the wrong dress.

Mild freak out, called Panache-eventually all sorted, to Panache’s respect, they well made up for the fact it was their fault they ordered the wrong dress. Apparently, “this does happen”, quoted an employee. When I return the wrong dress, the employee that helped me noticed it was my second choice dress, “aww Jess, you do remember how much you loved this dress though?”. Not the point. Why would you say that? Not the dress I picked and ordered.

They called the designer to make the correct dress. Thankfully it could be done.
They told me they would call me to give updates on this new dress. They didn’t. I had to chase them down every time.

By the time my new dress is ready, it is 7 weeks until my wedding so they encourage me to have my first fitting. I wasn’t prepared, I should have came back, but I let them fit me. I didn’t feel confident about the fitting, but I put stupidly put my trust in their alterations woman.

When I go for my final fitting-the dress doesn’t fit. And the lady “helping” me has the audacity to say “Well, we don’t take in more than we measure” implying it’s my fault the dress doesn’t fit ( I have been working out and losing weight so this hits a nerve), she then goes to ask my wedding planner who was with me, “oh, is she bloated?” I hate that I have a complex, but I do, nevertheless you don’t ever say that to anyone, let alone a bride. They fix it that day, but the last final kicker...

On my wedding day, my gorgeous and perfect dress that I spent over four grand on, STARTS TO FALL APART. The bodice bracing starts to poke out of the top of my dress and a guest had to embarrassingly point it out to me. Are you kidding me?? I can’t blame this entirely on the designer as they had to rush a job because Panache ordered the wrong dress in the first place.

I send an email to Panache to let them know what happened. We’ve been playing telephone tag for 2 weeks regarding it and honestly, they clearly have shown they don’t care about me or my HORRENDOUS nightmare of an experience with them or they would try harder to contact me and make amends.
They got their money, they got rid of me and my boss of a wedding planner.
They don’t care about you. They just want your money.
    STAY FAR FAR AWAY.

Not a nice company to buy from. They made me give them my credit card to book an appointment.
They said I only get charged it if I don't cancel my appointment. I booked my appointment 24 hours in advance. When I called to change it
They said they would charge me $50. They said they needed a 48 hour notice. I only booked it the day before and I was never told that.
Why would I want to buy a $3000 dress from them or refer my friends. It doesn't even seem legal. Other bridal shops do not do this. It's
Bad business. There are so many great bridal places., it makes no sensentomtreatmyour customers this way. Their
    Employees weren't fair or honest.

DISAPPOINTED in my overall experience. PANACHE is AWFUL. Given the convenience of the location and selection of gowns, I gave this place the benefit of the doubt, but they deserve ZERO STARS.

    Tips:
    - Shop elsewhere and don't waste your time here.
    - Don't pay for alterations here (that costs a dress in itself). My dress ended being too small to the point my bridesmaid were afraid they couldn't zip up my dress on the wedding day. The staff explained there's no way my body size would fluctuate within a month, however, my dress seems to have been altered by the seamstress more than requested.

    Pros:
    - Great selection of gowns.
    - Jonathan is awesome! Helpful, patient, and understanding. He was sincere with what dresses would compliment me and gave us his honest opinion.
    - Shami is knowledgeable with her 50 years of experience, but also blunt with her opinions.

    Cons:
    - You will absolutely go over your budget given alterations + customizations + surprise fees.
    - Stressful, discouraging experience
    - Staff are always in a rush in answering calls to existing brides.
    - Gowns are not even reasonably affordable.
    - My dress was ready for pick up the Friday right before my Saturday wedding.
    - The store manager is surprisingly rude and inconsiderate considering she is the "manager".

BRIDES! To save you time/money, I strongly suggest you visit other bridal shops for your dress. Panache is not worth the stress I miserably endured during my wedding planning process, which was completely discouraging to say the least. Clearly, this establishment DOES NOT take their business seriously.
