We considered more than ten rental companies for the chairs for our wedding. We knew the right chairs would really make a statement on the overall look of our reception space, and the Party Rent DFW team made all of our dreams come true!
Mary answered ALL of our questions to make sure we had the chairs and linens to see our vision come to life.
We were originally scheduled to get married the weekend of the severe winter snowstorm in Texas, and we are still overwhelmed with the kindness, flexibility, and professionalism of our vendors. Party Rent DFW is amazing! Look no further for your event needs. I contacted Mary within weeks of my wedding to request lounge seating for our wedding reception. Mary was both professional, responsive, and very flexible. I requested final changes within days of my event and they were accommodated. Beautiful Products but Unprofessional
I purchased a custom dance floor from this vendor for my wedding about a year ago. Prior to purchasing, I had quoted several other vendors for the exact same dance floor design and they came out to be more expensive than Party Rent dfw. When I agreed to purchase, Mary sent over an invoice/contract with the products and services listed. She then asked me when I would like for the floor to be picked up and I told her that it would most likely need to be after the wedding, the same night. She then told me that she would put the pickup day on the invoice/contract for Monday which is the day after my wedding, and said that once I know for sure she will change the pickup date to Sunday evening after the wedding. Fast forward to two weeks before my wedding day and I did a follow up call/email to Mary after my planners sent out an email to all my vendors informing them on the times that they are allowed to enter the venue to begin setting up and when they need to return to strike down that night. I contacted Mary to reiterate what my planners told her, and she told me that they could not come remove and pickup the dancefloor the same night, they would have to pickup the following day, Monday. When I asked her why, she said that they did not have enough staff members to come back and pickup the floor. I had already paid for the floor itself, installation of the floor, pickup/strike-down and delivery. This was all listed on my invoice/contract for months, nothing had changed. So, I was confused as to why I was being told that there was not enough staffing to come back to pickup since I already paid for that service ahead of time. Mary then told me that she thought that they were supposed to pickup the following day on Monday since that is what my invoice said. She was correct that my invoice said Monday and not Sunday for the pickup, but when I booked she told me that it was not a big deal to switch the pickup day if I need to. Mary then told me that in order for them to come pickup the same night it would cost $250 even though I had already paid for the pickup. This was an additional charge on top of that two weeks before my wedding which was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. My venue requires all decor and personal belongings be completely cleaned out the same night of the wedding and if things are left to be pickup up at a later date the venue charges a fee also. I tried reasoning with Mary explaining to her that I had already paid for the pickup of the dancefloor, and that I understood that the original contract said pickup was scheduled for Monday. I told her that I could pay half of that fee which was $125 and she said that she could not accept that and she would not alter her pricing because she believed that it was better than any other rental company's pricing. I went back and checked the other quotes I had received when I was looking for a dancefloor vendors and the price difference was about $5 at the most from other vendors I had looked at. The other important difference I noticed was that all the other vendors included every possible charge on the invoice which included the floor, custom wrap, delivery, setup and pickup. Mary's quote appeared to be less because she underquoted me for pickup. She did not include the $250 on the invoice because she wanted her quote to appear to be cheaper than other vendors. Had she just included the full fee, it would have already been paid for and I would not have had to pay $250 two weeks before my wedding. On top of this incident, each time I wanted to submit a payment to pay off the dancefloor, it took two weeks or more for my payment to be processed every single time. And every time Mary said that she was not the one who ran the payments. Seemed like she would forget to process payments until I would reach out to her to inquire about it being processed which was super frustrating for obvious reasons. All in all I am not upset at the fact the service fee was $250 I am upset about how Mary handled me as a client from the initial inquiry through me purchasing and then all the way to two weeks before my wedding day. The dancefloor turned out beautiful and was one of my favorite decor items at my wedding but good grief management needs to be better.
