  The best. Period!

  Let's get straight to the point. TARA IS AMAZING! She was the first photographer I spoke to when I began my search, and immediately I wanted to say YES, but had to make sure I consulted with my husband haha. However, when he got on his first call to chat with Tara, he immediately said he understood why I loved her so much. She was such an amazing choice. She made our entire wedding season so easy, and meaningful. One, she understood the vision, and I knew on my wedding day she would capture the timeline moments I hoped for. She was our eyes for everything else happening on wedding day. She was also so helpful with us putting together a timeline that flowed, and also took into consideration our guests experience, which was top priority to us. Also, during our final call she reminded my husband and I to take time for each other during crazy wedding season to remember why we were so excited about this moment. She is more than a photographer. She has continued to exceed our expectations. We were even more surprised that they day after the wedding she delivered so many epic preview photos of the wedding. We are already so pumped, and now are worried that she has given us a problem of wanting to print ALL of our photos once we receive them all. haha. All jokes aside, I cannot stress how amazing she is, as well as her co-shooter Lauren. Tara has given us the gift of being able to look back at photos that truly captured the raw emotion and love shared on our wedding day. Big thanks!
  
  Also...one more thing! She was the only photographer we met that offered and suggested an option of a package of capturing photos at our rehearsal dinner. We never thought about it, but when she shared getting to know our family the night before we loved that! We got to capture more intimate moments of our families joining in together. We are thankful that her packages are truly created with the thoughtfulness of what we will cherish forever.

  Better than perfect

  Tara (& Stephen) are the best photography duo. They made the entire experience amazing - from thoughtful messages to great photo coaching to the most professional handling of everything that comes at you as a wedding photographer, they were the best. We absolutely loved our engagement photos and are looking forward to having our wedding photos to remember our day for years to come. Tara and Stephen truly feel like friends we've had forever, and their talent for taking beautiful photos is unmatched. Hiring Pattengale Photography was the best decision we made in wedding planning.

  Dream Team

  Tara and Stephen are a phenomenal couple to work with. They take the time to truly get to know their clients and the vision they have for their wedding. Their expertise shines through their photos, which are absolutely flawless. I would absolutely recommend them!!

  Beautiful location, AMAZING photos!

  We worked with Tara for a couple's session shoot in Orange County and the Inland Empire. We are from Orange County but we were so excited to explore the beautiful hills of Chino Hills State Park for our photo session! Tara was very responsive to our questions and provided us with every detail we needed to make the photo session as stress-free as possible. We are an introverted couple but Tara made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera that we often forgot she was there! Our pictures came out so beautiful and we cannot wait to work with Tara again!

They really helped pull our vision together - with their advice on personal and stylistic touches - and then documented exactly as we imagined!!! They are such a sweet, personable, and professional husband and wife team that I wilil recommend to anyone and everyone!!!!!

  Tara was the single best choice we made for our wedding! She was hands-on throughout the process, everything from giving advice for how to style our engagement shoot to discussing every detail of our day-of timeline until it was perfect.
  Not only is Tara an amazing photographer - she is also an incredibly sweet and thoughtful person. I enjoyed every minute with her, and what's more, my husband (who was dreading all the pictures) was surprised at how comfortable and enjoyable she made the whole wedding/picture process.

  I'm so glad I chose Pattengale Photography for my wedding. Tara and Stephen captured the day and wrote a blog post that helped me relive it later. I never felt rushed or on a schedule.   My wife and I had a wonderful experience working with Tara and her team. I don't have a tone of experience with wedding photographers, but I couldn't image having a better one for our wedding day. Tara made sure to keep in touch with us and sent friendly reminders to keep us in track for our wedding. She made sure we included all of the pictures we wanted, and the ones we didn't know we wanted. Tara also went above any beyond helping us setup our timeline before the wedding. Our wedding planner got off track from our timeline once during our wedding day and Tara was quick to fix the hiccup. I can't say enough about Tara, Stephen and their team. We have recommended them to friends and everyone has had glowing reviews.

  Disappointing

  Unfortunately, we were very upset with this couple. We are going to have a wedding of about 200 people at a gorgeous outdoor farm. We shared this information with them but they wanted to speak on the phone before providing anymore information. Once on the phone, Tara was polite and pleasant. However, she made us feel like we were auditioning for them. She made us feel like our wedding didn’t make the cut for them. She then learned about a trip we were going on, and would consider our wedding if she could come and do pictures of that adventure (almost feeling like she was inviting herself on the trip and that was how we could make the cut for their business). She did offer to refer but we would not want to work with anyone who makes our day not seem good enough for them. Every bride should feel like their vision is perfect and have people surrounding them that feel the same way. If you want to be interviewed to fit someone else’s idea of good, they are the people for you. If you would like to have a conversation and be told your idea is perfect, I would look else where.

  I've just seen the Wedding Review come through. I want to personally apologize that the phone call was hurtful and felt like an interview to you. You deserve the highest regard and kindness and we do not take your inquiry or your time spent with us lightly!!! I'm so, so sad to hear it was a less than joyful experience for you and your sister-in-law.
  
  I truly believe you will have an absolutely incredible and gorgeous wedding day - everything you described was gorgeous and I so resonated with your priorities of celebrating with all your friends and family gathered together! In my conversation with you, my heart & intent was to share openly where our business is moving towards next year (intimate weddings only) and how we aren’t in the position to best serve you but instead recommend other well-respected vendors who would truly do your vision justice. Everything you shared stylistically & setting wise is stunning and a perfect vision for an unforgettable wedding day and had nothing to do with feeling like (quite the opposite actually) we wouldn't be the best photographers for you! Truly!
  
  In regards to the couples session: Oh my goodness, how awful you felt like had to make the "cut" into working with us!! You and Zach sound absolutely incredible, endearing, and like you have a lot of beautiful history & memories already together (Yosemite will be icing on the cake I'm sure!). While it is true that we are currently still offering couples sessions, it was in NO way intended to be an invitation to your Yosemite hiking trip or any pressure at all to book us for a couple's adventure sesion. I'm deeply sorry all of these details became confusing, pressured, and antagonistic to the vision you have for your special day!
  
  Would you forgive me for making you feel all what you wrote & less than celebrated?
  
  We are a small business and highly value genuine & honest reviews - even when things are less than perfect. If you feel like the review you left is worthy of the experience you had with us and your perspective is still the same, thank you for your honesty. We want to make things right, please let us know how we might be able to do so!
  
  I already reached out to several friends sharing your dreamy vision with them and asking who would still be available your wedding date (all before I saw your review).
