Diana of Petals in Locust Valley is a hidden gem in the wedding florals industry. As mother of the bride and as someone who was super excited about the wedding florals, I thought for sure that I was going to use one particular (super talented) florist who is well known on social media and on the Long Island wedding scene. But after meeting with Diana, she was such a breath of fresh air we hired her immediately. She cared about the details and really, really cared about us and making us happy with the finished product. We had a lot of good laughs together, built a great relationship and the wedding days was nothing short of magical -- all thanks to her great work and our feeling of partnership. Diana is not really embedded in social media and I think it's because she is so focused on the job at hand and doing amazing work that her portfolio is the last thing on her mind. I will always remember Diana and her incredibly kind and generous team as someone who made this event special for our family, put in long hours, went above and beyond and only cared about making her customer's vision come to life. That is very rare. I think if we had gone with the other florist, it might have been more about their vision, than ours. That is why we are so happy we selected Diana of Petals to be our wedding florist and why you should too. -

Petals was the florist for my wedding on 6/25/23 at the de Seversky Mansion, and I could not have been more thrilled with how the flowers turned out! Diana was such a pleasure to work with and truly listened to my requests and brought my vision to life even more beautifully than I could have imagined. She catered to specifics of what I was looking for in terms of color palette, budget, and aesthetic, with amazing attention to detail. She is willing to spend the time to get her clients exactly what they are looking for. I would 100% recommend her to any couples looking for a florist! Brough our exact vision to life
Petals was recommended to us by our venue. I cannot say enough great things about our experience from beginning to end in working with Diana. She knew every inch of our venue, and was went above and beyond to help bring our vision to life. We went over all final details a couple of week before our wedding, and on the day of the wedding no detail was missed. Petals did the best job, and helped make our wedding day beyond perfect. My husband and I used Petals for our July 9 wedding! They were so wonderful to work with! I wish I could give them a 100 star review! We worked with Diana and she was so sweet and helpful with everything between my bridal shower and wedding! Our wedding day flowers were stunning! Diana is responsive and will help make your special day just absolutely gorgeous! -

Our wedding was perfect, it was literally everything I'd ever dreamed of. Out of all of that, I need to express my utmost gratitude to Jess, Brian, Sharon, and the entire Petals team. Our event wasn't a huge one - 40 guests total and a pretty modest budget - but they treated us like celebrities. The displays were astonishingly beautiful and everyone kept commenting, to the point that they wanted to take the centerpieces at the reception home with them. Jess P. single-handedly stopped me from having a shrieking, sobbing bridal breakdown the moment she saw me in the Church parking lot, and her gentle take-charge attitude righted the ship, even though she had to deal with other members of our vendor team that had nothing to do with flowers. I honestly cannot recommend Petals highly enough for ANYTHING, from a simple date night bouquet to a grand ballroom wedding display. Hire them. -

I seriously wish I could give Petals 10 stars. Diana Ringrose and her team, including Sharon and Jane, did my wedding in October at the de Seversky Mansion. I could write a novel about them, but I will try to hit the high points. First, Diana is not only one of the most talented people I have ever met, but she is absolutely wonderful to be around. She spent hours (and I really mean like HOURS) with my mom and I working through every single detail of the wedding day. She is extremely organized, detail-oriented and a great listener.
Second, on the day of the wedding, Diana and her team spent hours setting up the flowers in the mansion. I wish I could explain how she transformed the mansion- I felt like a princess. They were beyond stunning and everyone who attended is still talking about our flowers. Seriously. She even transported our flowers after the wedding (which ended at like 12:30 am) to our brunch venue that was about 20 minutes away.
Third, they treat every single client like you are their only client. I really felt like Diana and her team were family by the end!
You know that you are in the best hands with Diana and her team. Use must use Petals if you are having a wedding in NY! -

Lindsey Sent on 10/02/2018Petals is a preferred vendor for NYIT de Seversky Mansion in Old Westbury, NY, at which we had our wedding on 9/15/18. I first spoke with Diana Ringrose at a bridal showcase at the mansion and that evening I remember walking through the floral vendors, immediately drawn to the lower centerpieces that she had displayed. Since I already had an approximate guest count, I knew the suggested floor plan and table numbers, aiding me in the decision to go with a lower, fuller centerpiece and I just felt like Petals did it right in the space. No stranger to the mansion, Diana was easy to speak with and efficient in our calls and in-[person meetings. It was lovely to speak with someone who loves what they do, when you only have a glimmer of what you think you may like because it's not like most brides have any real idea about floral décor in the day-today! Pinterest can only get you so far, but Petals took my inspiration photos, weaved in suggestions and in the end, the mansion and outdoor patio ceremony arch was just stunning! My bouquet was just loose enough with the greenery and the bridemaids bouquets went perfectly with the blush sequin gowns. The groomsmen looked beautiful with single garden roses (two for my father who is a tad broader), and my husband had the most delicate two lisianthus on his lapel.
The one piece of floral décor I cannot get over is our ceremony arch. I knew I didn't want floral pillars and Diana suggested an arch, showing me my arch, but with less flowers & a bit more greenery, zig zagging along with branches. In the end, we filled in the arch following the lines of the branches a bit more traditionally, adding additional flowers and I could not be more pleased with how it turned out. Just spectacular.
Thank you, Petals & Diana, for the most beautiful flowers, our perfect arch, and shimmering candlelight – you truly made the mansion look uniquely ours. -

Diana is not only talented, creative, and full of on trend and classy ideas - she is also an incredibly kind, patient, and intuitive professional. Our wedding was on May 12, 2018 at the DeSeversky Mansion, and Petals came highly recommended to us from our venue sales/event coordinator. Our initial meeting with Diana was extremely thorough and productive. We could tell right away that Diana was the right florist for us, and it was evident also that she loves what she does. Diana knew the DeSeversky Mansion inside and out, and I would anticipate that holding true for any venue she and her team works with. I remember being so impressed that she even thought to look into the sunset time on our wedding day as a way to help us decide whether to have our ceremony indoors or out. She referenced a floor plan of the venue which was extremely helpful in determining the right areas to focus on for maximum effect. I had a number of specifics in mind as well as a few scattered ideas that Diana and her team absolutely made come together in the most beautiful way. She was always incredibly receptive, responsive, and gave great feedback and suggestions. She and her team made our (already very beautiful) venue look extra special and it truly felt like it came alive for our day. We were very impressed and sincerely thankful that she was willing to repurpose our flower arch decor (used during our ceremony) for use on the fireplace mantle in the ballroom, where our reception was held. Our centerpieces were to die for - they were so lush and fresh. Our guests were absolutely wowed by her work and we continue to receive compliments on our flowers! Diana made a number of reasonable upgrade suggestions at our final meeting that absolutely added a special extra touch. The entire team was great to work with in terms of our timeline for the day. We are overjoyed with how Diana's work came across in our photos as well!

User3035752 Sent on 04/20/2017Diana and the crew at Petals made my floral dreams come true. After my initial consult, I thought there was no way that I could afford their services. They were actually quite reasonable with me AND worked really hard to adjust to my budget. Diana was so sweet and creative - half of my favorite things about the wedding were her ideas. They were also quite accommodating. When we drove by the storefront, we noticed a beautiful arch being prepared for another wedding. % mins later, I ordered the same style for my own wedding. I will never forget the moment when Diana handed me my bouquet on the big day - the smell was sublime and I will never forget the scent of those O'Hara roses. I actually took one with me on the plane all the way to Moorea, French Polynesia. Do not hesitate to book them! -

Leah Sent on 03/16/2017Diana and her team were incredible! From the moment we stepped into her shop she made us feel excited for our wedding, not just our flowers. She thought big picture not just about our arrangements. She pulled out a map of our venue and literally went through every detail of every room. She was so thorough and worked with my insistent wedding planning neuroses with such professionalism and understanding. She took my words and photos and made them into something I could never have dreamed of. The mantel in my ballroom was unlike anything you've ever seen. The most exquisite display of lush floras. She was so educated on our options and worked well within our budget . She was able to re purpose some of our ceremony flowers and create beautiful works of art in a completely different arrangement for the venue. Her team was never seen nor heard yet created such a beautiful ambiance with no detail untouched!

Working with Diana was such a treat, during our first meeting she pulled out a map of our venue’s floor plan and walked us through her vision for our ceremony and reception. After showing her a picture of my flower inspiration, she immediately understood the look I was going for and incorporated it throughout the day. She was so thorough with every detail, including a rain backup plan for us. She was a little more expensive than some of the other florists we spoke with, but we feel it was worth it, the flowers were gorgeous, she was wonderful to work with, along with her staff.

User2453709 Sent on 12/04/2015Diana and her team at Petals were recommended to us by our venue, the NYIT de Seversky Mansion, because of the quality of their work and their knowledge of the location.
Diana was everything I hoped for in a florist and more; patient, professional, understanding, passionate about flowers and knowledgable. Both my mother and mother-in-law love flowers, Diana met with us a total of three times to thoroughly discuss options, logistics and each meeting lasted well over an hour.
I never felt rushed or pushed into anything; Diana kept a budget in mind and how to best mesh my inspirations with the location. She provided all our candles, holders, vases, etc. and took care of everything -- all according to our preferred style. Diana even helped us figure out other wedding logistics that I needed advice on, such as timing!
The Petals team commits to you on your day, moving flowers, providing backups, fixing anything that may need it (such as my flower girl's flower crown), pinning flowers to lapels, and ensuring their arrangements look their best. At the end of the evening, the team returned to de Seversky to clear away all of their supplies while carefully laying out the arrangements for my guests to take home.
I adored my flowers, they were one of my favorite elements of my wedding and I'm so happy I chose Petals. They clearly take pride in their work, and treat each arrangement as a work of art. I highly recommend them and their services. -

She was able to take my vision and turn it into reality. From our first meeting I was impressed with her level of attention to detail and how well she knew the venue where we were getting married(de Seversky Mansion). Our first meeting lasted about 2.5 hours. It was so refreshing to see someone really provide excellent customer service. We met with 2 other flower vendors before Diana and I was utterly shocked by how spoiled and unprofessional these vendors on long island were. This is not the case at petals. You are treated with respect and patience, she will help you find what you are looking for. She will tell you and show all the flowers you are thinking about.
The mansion turned into a magical place thanks to Diana! Thank you so so so much for all your hard and dedication. I really hope we can work together again!
