We hired Lynn and Petals to be both our wedding florist, and our day-of coordinator. Lynn did an excellent job with the flowers, the bridal bouquet, and all of the decorations we asked her to put together. My (now) wife was extremely pleased with the bouquet in particular and almost cried when she saw it-- it was one of the few moments she got to have that really made her feel special, I think, and that is worth a lot. If you need a florist in the Macon area, Lynn and Co. will take care of you for sure.
On the flip side, I would recommend being very clear about day-of coordinating responsibilities if you are able. Originally, I had only expected someone to help us coordinate vendors, get everyone to the venues on time, etc. But over the course of the planning process, Lynn would seemingly "sign up" to handle things, which gave the impression she was going to be more of a planner than just a day-of person. Sometimes, this turned out great (she booked booze and a bartender for us), and sometimes, it didn't (after many assurances that she would be there on the day of the wedding, she sent one of her staff instead without telling us up-front, so that she herself could attend a bigger wedding that she had double-booked for). The whole experience was so up-and-down that I'm not really sure what to say about it, except that while things turned out perfect on the day of the wedding, it added a lot of unnecessary stress and complications to what I would have handled otherwise, if only I had known. Communication is not Petals' strong point, and there were other instances where I felt I was completely unable to talk to them for several days. At a certain point, I even suspected they were ignoring me (because I was a man) and not taking me seriously (because whenever my now-wife would call, she always managed to talk to someone, where I would go for weeks on end getting nothing but silence). Strange experience, but everything turned out for the best.
