  Magic in Provance

  Long story short – we would not have been able to have our wedding without Nicole. As an American and a Swede, we would have been hopelessly lost without her guidance, and the flawless execution of our special days would never have occurred. Nicole is truly skilled and we can’t recommend her enough, from the detailed planning to the execution of our dream wedding in France (yes we pushed a bit outside of Bordeaux, and Nicole rose to meet and exceed every expectation as if we were on her home turf). – Antonia & John
  
  Short story long - Originally planned for 2020 in the heart of Provence, our wedding ended up slipping to 2022. As we dealt with pandemic and familial loss over the years leading up to it, Nicole stood by our side going above and beyond a wedding planners duty. She helped us battle to extend our contracts and maintain our dream vendors through not one, but two postponements. She checked in regularly not just on the wedding but also on how we were personally doing throughout. All of this on top of planning the most magical wedding that we could imagine with over a dozen vendors from across Europe (and Australia). During the stressful process, Nicole became a close confidant and friend who I would recommend to anyone planning a fete in France. – Antonia & John

  Made our dreams come true!

  Our wedding was the best, most fun day ever and we couldn't have done it without Nicole!!! Her expertise is honestly priceless. She's smart, friendly and professional, and she handled everything we asked for like a champ! She did a really great job listening to us but also stepping in to offer her expert advice and recommendations. She made planning our wedding a complete stress-free breeze. Our guests are still raving about everything from the venue to the rehearsal dinner... they were blown away, and so were we! Thank you so much, Nicole!!!

  Wonderful experience - goes above and beyond!

  Nicole was awesome to work with, and all of her vendor recommendations were spot on! Bonus that she grew up in the States so speaks perfect English, which is very helpful for an American planning a wedding in France! Honestly would not have been able to plan the wedding without her. She was also willing to go above and beyond to help us plan every aspect of our weekend (transport coordination, organizing a wine tasting outing, additional cleaning, etc). She also helped us great deals on the services needed and overall is wonderful value for her price. 110% recommend!

  We hired Nicole just for the day to ensure everything ran smoothly and to coordinate all of our different vendors. Her service went above and beyond what we 'hired' her for she gave us invaluable tips and suggestions and patiently coordinated not only vendors but also with our family and friends who were also in contact with her. Her knowledge and professionalism is so thorough that even I, a perfectionist bride, entrusted her entirely without hesitation for lots of things, for example, decoration of the 'salle' and setting up of the arch, chairs etc for our outdoor ceremony. Our only regret is that we didn't hire her right from the start! She was an absolute star throughout the whole process. We had a beautiful wedding and this is largely thanks to her hard work and determination combined with her upbeat optimism.

  Nicole nous a aideENORMEMENT.sans elle, notre mariage n aurait pas ete si parfait, elle nous a propose beaucoup d idees, aete super proactive et surtouta fait en sorte de nous enlever tout le stress possible le jour j ainsi que le mois precedant le mariage.
  En plus de son professionnalisme, sa creativite, sa patience et sa reactivite, nicole possede le grand avantage de parler anglais et francais ce qui nous. Servi comme nous avions un mariage franco anglais!
  Bref, n hesitez pas une seconde et engagez nicole pour vousassurerque votre mariage sera parfait!

  We faced the challenge to organize a wedding in less than 3 months and without Pure Expression Events and Nicole it would have been simply impossible.
  The result has been fantastic in term of quality and organization, a great moment for our families and friends. Nicole's advices and suggestions have been extremely precious while her experience and her business network did permit us to organize exactly the wedding we wanted.

  Excellent wedding planner, very professional and dedicated and extremely efficient. Very good suggestions from her. She was also extremely good at understanding our needs and wishes and found solutions to diverse type of problems and questions. On top, very kind person.

  Terrible wedding planner with no passion for weddings

  I hired Nicole “pure expression events” because a venue I was considering had recommended her. They recommended her solely on the fact that she “spoke great English”. That was probably the worst decision I made through my wedding planning journey. This review is specifically for her ‘event management’. I will say she is very professional and takes her job seriously, but on that note this is very clearly her job not her passion. Beware that she is in no way forthcoming with details which I didn’t find out until after signing the contract and sending the deposit. After she receives your deposit, she sends an email with her limited working hours as well as how she prefers to communicate. She asks you to use her planning software only to communicate which is not really designed for proper communication. It feels very impersonal. She is not very excited and really doesn’t have any great ideas to make your wedding day special. I decided to fire her midway through planning and take the loss of my deposit (which was not an easy thing to do) because all of the other vendors I hired would say ‘what does your planner think about X Y Z?’ I found myself not wanting to even ask her thoughts because she would respond days later with no enthusiasm or suggestions to help make our wedding special where I felt all my other vendors were so helpful, creative and almost doing her job. I really felt like it was a burden for her to help us. That’s when I decided to start interviewing other planners, and then it became evident during the interviews with other planners that Nicole has no passion for wedding planning. During these interviews, they helped guide me more than Nicole ever did. She really let me down in our wedding venue search. She would only have negative things to say about the venues I liked online and would never recommend anything else that fit what we were looking for. I’m almost wondering if she gets a commission because she kept recommending 2 specific venues (1 of which wasn’t available on the dates I needed). She even talked badly and mislead us about the original venue that recommended her! So AFTER I signed the contract with a completely different venue, I discovered another popular venue available the dates I needed exactly within my wants and needs for a venue. Nicole had never even mentioned it. So please if you are looking to get married in the Bordeaux region please interview lots of planners and pick the one that is the most excited for you and gives you a sense that this is what they love doing. There are plenty of planners that speak great English (if that’s what you need). Even if they are from France, England etc. just please don’t settle. You deserve the BEST!
