  Beautiful, creative, & local!

  We loved working with Maggie and Pine State! Not only were we very happy to support local farms, but she created a beautiful and unique palette that made our wedding come to life. Maggie listened to what we liked, took the inspiration photos discussed with us and our coordinator and ran with it. When we saw the end result, we were floored! It was so beautiful and unique but felt true to everything we had asked for. She beautifully mixed flowers, plants, and a number of other elements and made everything look perfect! On top of that, she was easy to work with, responsive to email, and helpful in thinking through how to adjust to our budget.

  Pine State will help make your vision a reality

  I really enjoyed working with Maggie and Pine State. As a bride who was planning her wedding from another country, Maggie was great in meeting with me when I could be in town and communicating over email when I couldn't. They were also very good at asking me what I liked and then sending back their own photos of past arrangements that looked similar to what I described. They even asked for photos of what everyone was wearing to make sure all of the bouquets and boutonnieres went with the wedding party.
  
  She helped me take a hazy vision and make it a reality all while working within our budget. For example, we re-used our aisle flowers on our round tables and instead of large center pieces on our long tables, we trailed greenery through candles.
  
  I loved the way they used in-season flowers and greenery to soften and give a touch of whimsy to our venue space. The splashes of dark burgundy flowers amidst the light pinks and whites really popped. I had few minutes to sneak around the space and see them setting up and wow, it was like watching magic happen.

  Maggie was so patient and kind with all my back and forth. I couldn't make up my mind about what I wanted for flowers and she went over options and I eventually decided to go with seasonal buckets of flowers to make my own bouquets and center pieces and I was not disappointed. Easy to find to pick up and easy online invoices and payments. I would definitely recommend booking them if you are on a budget as their options are very budget friendly, but you get a lot for your money!

  Inspirational Florist

  What an inspirational, the flowers were beyond perfect! They listened to what we wanted and delivered with the highest quality and in quantity of flowers. It really made our wedding day to have the gorgeousness around this. Thank you Pine State and Maggie, we loved what you did for us!

  A La Carte Options Were Perfect For Intimate Wedding!

  Pine State Flowers's a la carte options were perfect for our intimate wedding. We got the quality that we wanted that while staying within budget. They got the style down perfectly, and we loved how they did the mother's corsages on an adjustable bangle. They even added a small flower girl's bouquet last minute without issue. Would definitely recommend!

  Maggie's flowers and greenery were exactly what I envisioned!!

  Maggie was a fantastic choice for our wedding! We wanted an earthy vibe with a lot of greenery, and she created the scene beautiful. She was very communicative. There were a couple of hiccups with the reception set-up on the day of, and Maggie handled them gracefully; as the bride, I didn't even know anything had gone wrong! She was super flexible, and the flowers were beautiful. I'm incredibly happy that I chose Pine State Flowers!!

  Loved them so much

  I could not have been happier with our experience with Maggie and her team. Our flowers were one of my favorite parts of the wedding. I didn't want to put my bouquet down! Maggie created a custom piece for our ceremony and it was absolutely perfect. If you like her aesthetic, work with her!
  
  We were originally planning to do a la carte flowers since we did not have a huge budget for decor. Maggie was very patient with my waffling back and forth on whether to do custom flowers instead, and in the end I'm glad I did. She worked with us to create a really special look and feel with a really reasonable budget. I really feel like her work took our event to the next level.

  Can't Recommend Enough!

  As a low-key and DIY bride, I was intimidated by the process of choosing a flower vendor and all of the flower-related details for my wedding day. Maggie at Pine State Flowers made the whole process easy, from her introductory questionnaire to her variety of design options (we went with the A La Carte), to seamless delivery on the day of the wedding. The centerpieces and bouquets themselves were beautiful, unique, and exactly what we were looking for. I would 100% recommend Pine State Flowers to any bride looking for high-quality (and locally grown!) flowers for their special day.

  Pine State Flowers provided us the most beautiful flowers ever! We loved all the arrangements, they were very responsive and flexible for us day of, and on top of that are environmentally focused. We loved that our wedding flowers were locally sourced as well. Definitely would recommend!

  I absolutely loved my flowers! Working with Maggie was effortless. I was planning from out of town with my mom in Raleigh to help out. Communication by email was great, and I recommend setting up a meeting in the shop to see the beautiful work in person. I gave them a loose idea of what I liked by going through the Pine State Flowers Pinterest page and Instagram, and left them to create something pretty. The end result was gorgeous. I couldn't have been happier!

I was terrible at describing my "vision" to others—and I left most people utterly confused when I said that our colors were "big, bold berries, with some jewel tones...kind of like a sunset." Somehow, Maggie managed to untangle my wonky design ideas to produce a gorgeous lavender/deep purple/navy floral arrangement that I will be swooning over for years to come. Thank you, Maggie, for making my floral dreams come true!

Even though I was already familiar with their work I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by what they created for us. Maggie was incredible to work with - very quick to respond, easy to communicate with, laid back, open to hearing my vision, and friendly. She totally got the look that I was going for. She rolled with the last-minuteness of all of it with ease. Three days before my wedding I asked Maggie to make a comb with flowers on it for my hair and it was absolutely stunning. I still can't believe how talented they are at Pine State. They create a look that is stylish, natural, fresh, and unique, which is exactly what I wanted. This among their exclusive use of local flowers really sets them apart from other florists. Every single person at our wedding was so impressed by the look that Pine State helped us to create. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

  I got married on October 29 at Duke Gardens. Of course, the flowers at the Gardens are gorgeous, but Maggie was up to the challenge of topping them with the stunning arrangements she did for the wedding. I really like Maggie's approach of using locally-grown flowers in her arrangements. Of course, that means you have to trust Maggie to make something beautiful with the flowers she has available, and I'm so glad I did. When I walked into my reception and looked at the arrangements, it was like she had read my mind for what I wanted for the space. My bouquet was beautiful, as were the ones for my attendants. Maggie - thanks for making my wedding extra special and beautiful!

Plus, her arrangements are absolutely gorgeous. We met with her once for about 20 minutes, described what we needed and generally what we had in mind and let her take it from there. However, she was able to discern my vision from our phone and email conversations and gave us a stunning, very affordable product.   Maggie created the most beautiful bouquet I have ever seen for our wedding!
  
  The shop is really unique in that it only sources local flowers, so you have to trust her to create with what she has. I am so grateful that I did- she is so thoughtful and creative, everything was perfect! We had several meetings in the months leading up to the wedding to talk about our ideas and budget constraints and what type of flowers might be available for an October wedding. She was always responsive and flexible and organized - the least stressful to work with of all of our vendors. And day of, it was even better than what I had imagined. My bouquet was lush and organic-looking and fresh and loose and just perfect. She was there to set up our massive flower garlands on all the tables and even to help hang our ceremony arch.
  
  I feel so lucky that I found her (before everyone finds out about her and she books up forever!). The flowers really pulled everything together in a very special way. Thanks Maggie!

  FANTASTIC! Maggie made the process very easy. I planned my wedding from Texas and told her the look I was going for and the colors I wanted and she came up with the most beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. We also bought a few of the buckets of flowers to be economical and did our table arrangements 2 nights beforehand. There was a great mix of flowers in the buckets and they stayed alive fine and looked perfect on the day of. I would highly recommend Pine State Flowers to anyone looking for a florist who uses local flowers and who understands that the season dictates what flowers will be available.

  Maggie and Pine State Flowers did a phenomenal job at our wedding -- they were wonderful and easy to work with. We loved the local, sustainable approach and natural designs they took in crafting the flowers for us. We were planning our wedding from out of state and did not have the luxury of meeting in person or visiting the shop. We worked mostly via email and shared our likes, dislikes, and various ideas via stock photos and a Pinterest board. We knew we weren't going to see the final results until the day of our wedding and hoped for the best. The arrangements were absolutely gorgeous and we had guests fighting over centerpieces to take home at the end of the night. We were also able to stay within our budget and compared to other vendors, the quality of the arrangements and service exceeded our expectations. A big thank you Maggie and Pine State Flowers for helping with our perfect day!

  We were really happy with Pine State Flowers. Maggie was flexible and accommodated changes to our contract. We did have a miscommunication that resulted in a last-minute change to the flowers for our chuppah, but ultimately things looked great. My bouquet and our table arrangements were exactly what I envisioned!
