When my now wife and I were looking into photographers, our venue, sent us recommendations that we explored first. Some of them we connected with and from their samples we didn't like - too dramatic or whimsical - while others ignored us or were outrageously overpriced for what looked like photoshop city. We expanded our search and found Lauren, who was connected to a few other vendors we were looking into as well. Lauren, from our first meeting, had the vibes we were looking for. She was at the same time, relaxed and stern, fun and funny but with an attitude of making sure the job gets done and done right. She also made sure to note that she spoke fluent Vietnamese and could help support with or elders too which made her both our photographer and on the spot coordinator too which was amazing for our actual wedding day. She ended up doing our engagement shoot as well, which came out fantastic (even after inclement weather). Lauren was everywhere on the day of our wedding, and I was so surprised just how many shots she took, on top of the photos we definitely wanted to get and planned around. She has a style that is natural and light, with an eye for beautiful candids and is a pro at making the posing feel normal with her humor and friendly aura. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would and she would have earned each and everyone and then some. Needless to say she is our go-to photographer now and my wife and I are signed up for her winter wonderland photoshoots too! -

The perfect photographer!
We got married 9/24/22- and we had the pleasure of having Lauren as our photographer!!! My husband and I really wanted to find a photographer who not only took great photos, but that we could also feel comfortable with since they would be in charge of capturing moments of our special day together. The moment we had met Lauren we knew she was the perfect fit!! She has such great energy and made the day so much fun! Everyone who interacted with Lauren commented on how talented she was and asked how we found her! Posing for photos can feel awkward- but her positive and bubbly personality made it feel way more natural. We also just got a sneak preview of some of our wedding photos- and wow they are truly breathtaking! The editing is amazing and really captures the fairytale vibe we always envisioned. If you can- I would also book her for your engagement session. We did that- and it made us extra excited for our wedding seeing how great those photos turned out as well. I would highly recommend playful soul photography! You won’t regret it! -

My wedding was December 2021 and Lauren was absolutely amazing throughout the day! She was able to use her talented eye to spot the perfect spots for photos, was quick to make adjustments when needed, worked well with my other vendors, and more importantly hyped me up throughout the entire day. She made us feel more comfortable and feel confident in front of the camera and I would not have wanted anyone else capturing this special day more than her:) Thank you so much Lauren for your hard work and dedication to making my day that much more memorable. -

Lauren and her team are amazing. My husband and I did not take any engagement shots with Lauren before our wedding so I was slightly concerned I would have a photographer that did not "meet my needs". I was completely wrong. Throughout the wedding planning process, she worked with me personally to plan our schedule and ensure that we get all the photos we wanted for the special day. At the wedding, her team was efficient and creative trying to navigate around all the people. She responded with sneak peaks within a couple weeks and the photos were gorgeous! I am so grateful to have Lauren as my photographer and would recommend her in a heartbeat! -

Look no further if you're trying to find a photographer for your wedding, Lauren is AMAZING! She coaches you on how to pose and angle, so that your photos turn out BEAUTIFUL. She's down to earth and so fun to work with!
I'm so thankful that she has been flexible, professional and capturing all these beautiful photos for our special moments--engagement photoshoot and city hall wedding. We had to postpone our wedding twice due to the pandemic and I am soo excited to see what she puts together for our wedding in September! The photos she's captured will speak for themselves, I am so grateful for Playful Soul Photography!! -

My fiancé and I were originally going to opt out of doing an engagement shoot. Boy am I glad we decided to go ahead and do it! Lauren and Eric are amazing at what they do! My fiancé and I are not the type of couple who normally takes photos, let alone know how to pose and not be awkward in front of the camera. But after the first few clicks of the camera, Lauren and Eric instantly made us feel at ease. I honestly was not expecting to love the photos as much as I do. They got a variety of angles and different lightings that made our photos unique. Thank you Lauren and Eric for making our experience unforgettable! -

If you want a personable, sweet, adventurous, responsive photographer then you have found your match! Lauren has been a doll from our initial introduction to our engagement session. She always responds to my questions, is truly flexible and even shot through a surprise downpour in freezing weather with a big smile and infectious laugh. She truly is a dream to work with. -

He has tons of ideas and made us feel so comfortable while maintaining the perfect level of professionalism. It honestly felt like we were at the beach taking photos with a close friend. My wife and I are so glad we crossed paths with Jay and Nicole as they understood our vision from day one. We sampled their work online and quickly met with them knowing we wanted to attain their services. At our initial meeting we exchanged ideas and a vision of what we wanted for our wedding photos. They were great listeners and offered lots of ideas. They were always quick to respond which made us feel at ease throughout our engagement session all the way up to the day of our wedding. They arrived early for each session, had a plan of attack on how to achieve each shot, and were willing to be adventurous in our quest for the off-beat picture.
