PlumpJack was the perfect venue for our fall wedding! We wanted a romantic, rustic, and intimate wedding, and that is exactly what we got at PlumpJack. The staff was flexible and helpful, and they corresponded with us throughout our entire planning process. The ceremony space was absolutely stunning, and all our guests raved about how beautiful it was. The food was amazing, and the team worked with us to design a menu that was based on seasonal availability as well as our preferences and allergies. Everyone's food came out at the right time, and the staff even kept our food warm while we took some extra sunset pictures. The team kept everything running smoothly the whole evening, and the transitions were handled extremely well. It was convenient for our guests to be able to stay on site, so we did not have to worry about anyone driving after the reception. We cannot thank the team at PlumpJack enough for helping us create the day of our dreams!

We had our wedding and reception Oct 6, 2018. Marion and Illana did an amazing job coordinating all the details of the site and food & beverage. The property was an amazing backdrop and had the canvas that transformed the Mountain Room into my dream day. The staff work tirelessly to assist in any way they can and that made all planning our wedding without professional planners easy. Highly recommend for food and service.

I had my wedding here a week ago. Marion and Ilana have been communicative and professional the whole year of planning, and the reception was pulled off wonderfully. The food was delicious and the chef came up with specific dishes that we requested that weren't on the menu, like kimchi lettuce wraps and pierogi. The flow of service was perfect, and the patio area was a great size for fifty guests. We booked a honeymoon suite here and were surprised with a bottle of champagne and a sweet note from the wedding planners. I can't think of a single thing I would have wanted done differently. So grateful to the team here!

Organising our Winter wedding in March 2017 at Plumpjack was very stress free. Ilana and Marion responded to all our questions promptly and with all the information we required to make decisions. We were really concerned on how we would organise the ceremony and reception from Sydney Australia where we live but they made the whole experience very easy. The venue was beautiful, the food was amazing, all the staff were very friendly and professional. We had to change a few things last minute due to the snow and nothing was too much trouble for them. Could not recommend Plumpjack highly enough for a wedding, we had a near perfect day, loved it.

The staff at PlumpJack are simply wonderful. They made every step of the planning process seamless and easy by responding to all of our questions quickly. Our guests could not stop complimenting the service they received during their stay. The ceremony site is gorgeous and reception room was perfect. PlumpJack seemed to have everything taken care of for us, so we could really just enjoy our day. I would recommend them to anyone!

PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn was the perfect wedding venue! We were able to do all of our wedding day events in the various areas within PlumpJack so that our guests didn't have to transport between locations to enjoy our wedding (and we didn't have to worry about logistics and transportation!).

Lodging

The hotel is beautiful. The complimentary breakfast is out of this world. The pool area is comfortable and relaxing. They are dog friendly, and it was so fun to bring our black lab to our wedding weekend.

Ceremony

It's the perfect setting under the peaks of KT-22 and High Camp. The stone-floored creek side area makes for a beautiful aisle to walk down. Where the sun sets in the afternoon makes for the perfect lighting and comfortable summer temperature for all the guests.

Cocktail Hour and Dinner

Everyone had a blast. The booze was flowing. PlumpJack had enough people on staff so that no one had to wait in line for too long to get a drink. The food was absolutely delicious - we did passed appetizers, seasonal salad, main course, and cupcakes. The chef is very friendly and extremely talented.

Planning Process

MOST IMPORTANTLY... The PlumpJack team (Ilana, Marion, and Rob) were such a pleasure to work with.

They were professional, responsive, creative, supportive - qualities that were so helpful and invaluable in a wedding venue management team. They worked closely with us throughout the many-months-long planning process to make sure that they were providing everything we needed and that they understood exactly how our wedding day was supposed to go. On the day of, they executed everything as planned. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing, and we were able to just enjoy ourselves.

If you are looking to have a wedding in Tahoe, consider PlumpJack. At the very least, meet the team and see the venue in person.

Everything about our experience with PlumpJack was perfect. The views are breathtaking, the food is great, and the venue is ideal for a wedding weekend with close family and friends. Rob, Marion and Ilana are easy to work with and beyond accommodating and the entire PlumpJack staff was friendly and helpful to us and our guests. Our wedding weekend at PlumpJack was just perfect! We had both our welcome reception and wedding reception at PlumpJack and filled almost the entire hotel with guests. It felt really intimate and special to have the whole hotel to ourselves. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The back patio is beautiful and perfect for a welcome reception. I would highly recommend the woodfired pizzas! We had our wedding ceremony on the lake, but the reception hall at PlumpJack was great. We had 150 guests and it was a good size for that amount, though I probably wouldn't have wanted many more. We got lots of compliments on the food, it was fantastic! The dance floor is upstairs, which at first I thought was weird, but it was actually great because guests could go downstairs or outside if they wanted a break from dancing. My only complaint was that the dance floor room was really hot, but everyone kept dancing all night, so it didn't slow us down!

My husband and I were truly thrilled with the outcome of our wedding at PlumpJack. The venue itself is beautiful, with a stunning mountain backdrop and a rustic feel. The planning process was made incredibly easy by their phenomenal sales team who walked us through every little step and helped us decide on even the smallest things. They were not at all pushy, and gave us their honest appraisal of what we should spend our money on to best entertain our guests. The planning process was completed well in advance so that we didn't have to worry about it close to our wedding date, the team provided recommendations for local vendors (since we had a destination wedding), and they were unbelievably helpful on the day of my wedding to make sure things were set up the way I had envisioned them. It was so much fun having the wedding at such a small and intimate resort that really cares about your happiness and will do whatever they can to make your day special. I would highly recommend having your wedding here if you are searching in the Lake Tahoe area!!

The PlumpJack was the perfect setting for our wedding. The staff and service were amazing and very helpful to ensure our day went very smoothly. All of our guests had a wonderful time and could stop talking about how amazing the food was and how impressed they were! We had food service for 250 and everyone also mentioned that is came out warm which was pretty amazing. Great people, great service and fantastic food, I would choose the location again in a heartbeat!

We could hardly be more pleased with how our late-August wedding at PlumpJack Inn turned out. There are so many things to highlight, from the natural beauty of the ceremony site to the convenience of Palisades Olympic Village, but the real highlight was the PlumpJack staff. Rob and Sarah on the events team were flexible, responsive, and accommodating. Taryn and Michelle at the front desk were huge hits with our guests. And the real stars of the show, the banquet team and kitchen. They went above and beyond to accommodate a handful of dietary restrictions amongst our guests, and nearly everyone remarked that the food was among the best they'd ever had at a wedding. We'd second that for sure!

Everything at PlumpJack is sort of a “quintessential mountain lodge” – which means it is minimalist and a bit dated, if we’re really being honest. But that’s true of most everything on the Tahoe North Shore, and really is sort of the point of the place entirely! With some investment in florals and reception rentals, we were able to take this naturally incredible venue and build off it beautifully to craft a wonderful night for us and our guests.

LOVED Plumpjack! If I had to do it all over again, (God, let's hope not!!!) I'd choose to have it at Plumpjack again!!! (Although it would be a bit weird if I did...) =P The location, the convenience, the quality of service and food was just absolutely amazing. I <3 the staff there. Super friendly and helpful. When we decided to have the wedding in Tahoe, I fell in love with Plumpjack. I had narrowed down my key values to: location, convenience, and quality of Food and Beverage and Plumpjack aced all three. Not only were we able to house, feed, and enjoy the company of our guests for an entire weekend but were were able to do it all on site at the Inn. No hassles with transportation, logistics, etc meant less stress for me.

But I digress, Plumpjack is set apart by it's beautiful location. The Creekside Terrace set against the mountains and beautiful evergreens made for a gorgeous backdrop. The rustic event space was classic and functional and required very little decoration. The guest rooms were well appointed and spacious.

Fianlly, the staff who helped us coordinate the big day and the weekend were unmatched. The Front Desk staff, the servers in the restaurant, the banquet staff were always accomodating. Rob in Guest Services even arranged to have the local pub open just for our guests! Finally, I have to acknowledge Tiffiney in the events department who was there to answer every question and concern. She made planning a breeze. At the last minute it snowed and I thought my dreams of an outdoor ceremony were dashed. Not so, with a few heat lamps and towels to wipe the chairs we had a snow white wedding that most could only dream of. Thank you to everyone at Plumpjack for you flexibility and commitment to serving your guests!

The location is gorgeous ANY TIME OF YEAR. Liz was the event coordinator and left Plumpjack 3/4 of the way through planning our wedding which left us with a new person and basically starting over. The grounds and facility are awesome and I would definitely recommend it for an event but it is expensive and they require you to use all of their "in-house" (that are not necessarily all in house!) vendors. We really enjoyed our wedding at this location and guests have expressed the same gratitude and appreciation.

**The chef from the cafe who goes by Ben is AMAZING!!!! The food is so wonderful we have gone back repeatedly for more meals. Everything we have eaten there has been scrumptious!**
