Wedding at the Portofino Island Resort
Jessica Jensen with the Portofino is absolutely amazing! Our day wouldn’t have been exactly what we wanted without her! She is knowledgeable about all things weddings and helped to make our dream wedding a reality. We truly could not have done it without her! Our food, made at the Portofino was absolutely delicious! The staff was personable and helpful during the entire process. We can’t recommend having a wedding at the Portofino enough! -

Loved that guests could stay on the property and it was a very stress free wedding. The property is beautiful and food is delicious. Bartenders are great. Staff around the entire property is great. Jessica helped make sure everything went as smoothly as possible and she surprised me with fun added decorations I didn’t think of. Great overall experience. -

Beach Wedding
After getting engaged in June of 2021, my now-husband and I decided to go with Portofino for our wedding. We have been for the last 10 years with my family for vacations and knew we could trust everyone at the resort to help with wedding planning as we were planning our beach destination wedding from TX. We reserved 4 condos for the week, and each of them were beautifully furnished and perfect for our families and guests.
In regards to wedding planning and execution, I cannot thank Emily and the rest of the Portofino staff enough. Emily, the wedding coordinator at the resort, made time to have phone calls with me, reach out to vendors, and finalize details as the day approached. Day of comes around and an hour before our beach ceremony was supposed to start large rain clouds were rolling in. We decided to move our ceremony start time forward, and Emily and the rest of the staff made the setup happen without a hitch. As the rain started pouring shortly after the ceremony Emily and other staff members carefully got all of our decorations and arbor packed away. The reception setup was beautifully executed and everyone was accommodating to the rain and crazy weather. I cannot put into words how impressed and thankful I am for Emily and the rest of the wedding day staff for making our beach wedding happen amidst the weather. -

Thanks to the venue, Maria Barnett and Jessica, my wedding was flawless! They are the most easy going versatile women you could ask for when planning a wedding. They gave me honest ideas, opinions and helped me really get my wedding in order. Their decorating was A++ and I received so many compliments about it. The food was absolutely incredible too, I am still dreaming about those mashed potatoes! Overall, perfect venue, could not have asked for a more dreamy night :) -

Jessica and her team were not only personable, but outstanding and did a stellar job making sure the wedding and reception were perfect. Her attention to detail is superb. If your looking for a perfect destination place to have your wedding, STOP here, you don't need to look any further. This beautiful picturesque resort coupled with Jessica and her team equals perfection. She makes sure brides dreams do come true.

The staff members (especially Jessica) were 'on top of things' at all times, easy to contact, polite, and showed exceptional service and poise. The Resort went above and beyond my expectations. This was a dream come true for me to have my reception at this resort, and I would highly recommend it to anyone not only looking for a memorable, enjoyable time, but also for someone who, like me imagined nothing short of a fairy tale, that Portofino was able to deliver. -

The beach ceremony was perfect...the reception was a blast...and the overall stay was very pleasurable. We are from New Orleans, so it was close enough for friends and family to drive to attend. We loved and highly recommend the Portofino Island in Pensacola. -

We had some rain the came & they rearranged everything for the reception without a doubt. Jessica, the wedding planner, is without a doubt the best!!! She made the whole experience so worry & stress free. I highly recommend anyone to have their dream wedding here!

User2617152 Sent on 05/22/2016We had our wedding reception at Portofino, and it was as close to perfect as a wedding can be. The staff is extremely accommodating and will take great care of you. They helped with everything from menu selection to picking out other vendors. They keep an eye on the bride and groom to make sure you always have a drink in hand and to make sure you are taken care of. They even boxed up some of the food from the reception and took it to our room so we didn't miss out on anything. Our guests also felt very well taken care of and loved the venue. The food is absolutely AMAZING!! I would definitely recommend Portofino for your wedding! You won't be disappointed.

User1230578 Sent on 07/07/2013The views from the pool area are absolutely breathtaking at sunset. The food was good, especially the coconut shrimp. They were willing to work with us to provide food we enjoyed that wasn't on the set menu. The only reason I don't rate Portofino higher is the difficulties we had in communication - the menu prices weren't given to us until long after we had already signed a contract, we weren't informed right away when the stage that we were told would come with the venue could no longer be used, we weren't informed when the local tax was increased, and we had asked and paid for a kid's menu but to our knowledge that wasn't offered to any children on the day of the wedding. Though I understand the wedding menu has since then has been update so it shouldn't be a problem for future brides. I would recommend outside planning services. Overall, Portofino was slightly more expensive than other venues we looked at, but well worth the view.
