I would choose this sweet husband and wife team over and over! Not only did they provide a calm presence on the most hectic day of my life, but their goal was truly to capture what was most important to us on our wedding day. They did so without an overload of equipment that some photographers prefer to lug around-they were ready at the blink of an eye to capture any picture that presented itself! Another positive thing was that pictures went by so fast-not only that, but when I looked back at all my pictures, SO many moments were captured! My favorite thing about them though was that they made the pictures look natural. They really captured who my husband and I are, not too posed and not too flashy, just right.I would choose this sweet husband and wife team over and over! If you are engaged you MUST book Post & Beam Co. immediately!!! Laura made sure to communicate with me regularly before the wedding to make sure everything would be captured perfectly. She and her husband checked lighting beforehand, had a pow-wow at the rehearsal to make sure they were on the same page and who would capture what and from where. They treated us like friends, and even though Laura was getting over being sick, she never let it impact getting a perfect shot. She got on the ground, walked down bike trails, and checked with me repeatedly to make sure there wasn't something I wanted to capture. She even tried to make friends with my dog who HATES cameras. I've only seen the sneak peeks so far, but I'm madly in love with them. Thank you a million times for making our wedding day fun and capturing us when we looked our prettiest! I can't recommend Post & Beam Co. enough! Laura made it her goal from the very beginning to understand the vision we had for our Halloween wedding, while offering her own fun suggestions. For instance, I requested that she focus on capturing more candid moments of us and our guests instead of posed shots - and they was able to do that... beautifully! As a result, they captured photos that showed our personalities. They certainly didn't disregard the tiniest, creepy details of our wedding that we put so much effort into preparing. The entire time Laura was determined to get ALL of the great shots, even if that means laying in a rain puddle to capture the perfect angle (it was so worth it)! :D Post & Beam Co. also took the effort to visit the location before the wedding to test lighting and view potential photo locations. Which was soooo awesome because it made the entire process go so much smoother and stress free for the entire wedding party. All of the Post & Beam Co. photographers were extremely professional and organized, yet welcoming and friendly. They made everyone feel comfortable during the process, which is so important when you're having your photo taken! I'm so glad that we chose a photographer that truly sees wedding photography as an art. It's obvious that this is Laura's passion, not just her job, and that makes for some pretty amazing wedding photos for the couples she works with. :)I can't recommend Post & Beam Co. enough! We had such an amazing experience with Post & Beam Co.! It is so hard to find reasonable wedding photography and we got everything we wanted for a great price! Laura and Coday are so fun and flexible. They captured our day perfectly! I have already had two friends book there weddings after seeing our photos. I definitely recommend using them and highly recommend a boudoir session!!!We had such an amazing experience with Post & Beam Co.! It is so hard to find reasonable wedding photography and we got everything we wanted for a great price! Laura and Coday are so fun and flexible. They captured our day perfectly! I have already had two friends book there weddings after seeing our photos. I definitely recommend using them and highly recommend a boudoir session!!! -

Laura and Coday are the ultimate husband + wife photography duo and are a dream to work with. No quirky, mainstream or out of the blue request or idea is too big or too small for them to take on board and run with. My husband is terrified of cameras, photos and being put "on the spot" in general, but these two somehow make their cameras seem virtually invisible and you feel like you're just hanging out with great friends. This ultimately results in the most relaxed, authentic and beautiful photos you could ask for.
We absolutely love our photos and were so impressed with the tiniest moments they were able to capture, leaving you wondering how they could have canvassed the entire venue and manage to get a photo of every single guest.
If you are looking for a down-to-earth, non-cheesy, authentic photographer duo who is a blast to hang around but somehow incredibly professional, look no further. Laura and Coday are artists first and foremost and could make your trip to the bathroom look like an Ansel Adams print.
Seriously, you have 18,364 things left on you to-do list, book these guys and move on knowing you just made a great decision.
p.s. If it weren't for Coday, my husband and all of his groomsmen would have been bow-tie less as he was literally the only person in a group of 15 men that knew how to tie one. BONUS!

We trusted Laura & Coday to provide us with Engagement Photos, video, save the date magnets...wedding photos, video and photo book. When we booked Laura, our package came with a free engagement session. I had so many ideas and we were fortunate enough that Laura shared in our enthusiasm for all aspects of our wedding... We managed to create so many amazing moments in this session and we (people not used to being in front of a camera) were so surprised at how comfortable Laura made us feel. The session went so well and we were so excited to get to the wedding.
Our wedding was in June and we had to walk all over midtown Sacramento in 100-degree weather. All our photos came out beautifully. The family session was done in Capitol Park and Laura managed to create a unique story of our love between the pastoral of the park, the urban architecture of our wedding venue and the love of family and friends. Laura explained to us that she wanted our photos to tell a story. And that is exactly what she did. Laura incorporated images not only of family and friends, but also of candid moments and images of that would have otherwise been lost in the excitement and busyness of the day. Every time we revisit our online album we get to experience moments that our family and guest had with each other.
Working with Laura and Coday was an amazing experience. We had the opportunity to create life altering memories with them and when doing so we built a relationship that we look forward to developing for both of our futures. Laura does not take photographs, she makes art and turns everyday objects into special and creative memories that will last a life time. Post & Beam is made up of my brother and sister-in-law, and I could not be more grateful to have such talent in my family! I'll try to put natural bias aside for this review. As a bride, I was sick the week leading up to AND the day of the wedding (horrible cold). With Laura and Coday around I didn't have to fear. They helped with details big (photos, music, even food!) and small. I worried that, in my cough syrup haze, I didn't get all my DIY details just right, but Laura's natural eye for the unique helped put my worries to rest. They were able to make memories for us that really honored the spirit of the day. I will be forever thankful for their hard work that produced beautiful pictures and an awesome video to remind my husband and me of the amazing day we shared with family and friends.
PS My husband is a major introvert, and did not look forward to hundreds of photos being taken of him. He actually wanted me to give him a number of photos that he'd need to be in, asking, "Is twenty enough?" Laura and Coday kept that in mind, didn't make us do all the typical standing around with the wedding party etc, and made wonderful natural photos. Laura Marie Anthony was exactly what we were looking for in a photographer. She is both talented and personable and we clicked from the beginning. Laura has a fun and artistic style that made for truly unique photographs. She was able to capture all the key moments of our wedding and the pictures turned out amazing! If your looking for a photographer with a creative edge and the ability to capture the most important moments Laura is definitely the photographer to go with.Laura Marie Anthony was exactly what we were looking for in a photographer. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Laura Marie and her husband Coday! They truly went above and beyond in terms of helping out and capturing the perfect moments at my last minute reception! They are a pleasure to work with, and they both bring such a positive energy anywhere they go. It makes the experience a blast! Due to the fact that my husband and I hadn't had much experience with photographers, they both did a fantastic job at guiding us and somehow making us look phenomenal. =) I don't know how she did it, but I won't question the magic! Also, I was really surprised at how fast the turn around was on the finished images! It was fantastic! My husband and I will truly cherish their work for the rest of our lives, and we both highly recommend this amazing team!
