    Beautiful venue!

We had our wedding at Promise Farm on May 3, 2024. To say that Promise Farm is a gorgeous wedding venue would be an understatement. We were lucky enough to have great weather for our wedding, so we had our ceremony outside and our reception inside the barn. The grounds are immaculately kept, the outdoor ceremony space is beautiful, and the barn itself is spacious, clean, and climate controlled.

After booking last year, Judy helped us every step of the way with any questions we had and was very accommodating. Katelynn was the day-of manager at the venue, and with her help, our day went off without a hitch. Amenities include a bridal suite for the girls, a getting-ready area/man cave for the guys (including a pool table, big screen tv, ping pong table, etc), and bathrooms inside the actual barn. This last bit was a big deal for us since we had some elderly guests and a lot of barn venues seem to have out buildings for bathrooms.

We're so happy we booked our wedding with Promise Farm, and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a venue with beautiful grounds, and amazing customer service!

    Perfect Day!!

We came across Promise Farm by accident. My husband and I originally booked with a different venue, but it just didn’t feel right. We toured Promise Farm and fell in love with the natural beauty of the barn. Judy was so responsive and willing to help with whatever we needed. Our day turned out beautiful and we are so happy with our decision to use Promise Farm! We highly recommend!

    Difficult and upsetting

I’ve tried to weigh out the pros and cons and rate appropriately. The only thing this venue has is the looks. The pond can be beautiful if it’s not covered in algae, my guest thought it was grass.. the barn is beautiful, too bad you hardly get time to enjoy it. Soo many rules that make the day hard to enjoy, and if you happen to bend just one Judy will come after you. The owner is not nice. Quite rude actually, I was there setting up Friday night because we only found out Thursday that the Friday wedding canceled. And as we are getting ready to clean up and head out it goes pitch black, you look up and can see Judy standing in the house turning the lights off. Let me also state that tables and chairs are not accessible to you until the morning of, so i was stressing for MONTHS because I wasn’t sure if the size table/ amount would fit so that day when we went to set up i took a little bit longer than i planned, even though she literally would’ve had a wedding there till 11:00pm that night anyways… not sure what the big deal was and instead of calling my cell or coming down in person I get the passive aggressive text that is attached. The day of there was a tour given and as the bridal party is walking down the steps to our ceremony music, judy comes walking through with a big ladder. ALSO they will have someone hide across the pond the entire ceremony to monitor sound…. Which I’m sorry but the ceremony is supposed to be intimate for those I invited to be there not for people trying to monitor sound on a 55 acre property at 4pm… very very weird and creepy. The bridal suite trash was full when we got there which sucks considering you have to take all the trash with you when you leave. Not handicap accessible (technically sure maybe) but if you’re going to be honest it is not easy. I had a guest in a wheelchair and let’s just say there was problems getting them to the ceremony space. One pro does not outweigh all the cons and I absolutely do not recommend.

    Promise Farm's reply:

This appears to be a very confused bride. Couples contract states that they can access the barn at 8am the Day of their wedding. Venue however gave permission the day Before, (note not the night before!) to come and set up, but to please be done by 6PM. Instead, Venue received a text that a group of about 10 wouldn't even show up until 7:30 or 8:00 PM to set. Instead of venue saying no, they asked if set up could please be complete by 9:30. At approximately 10:00 set up was still going on. It seems a thank you is more in order for venue allowing them to set up earlier than their contract terms and being flexible on the time without any charge to the couple.
As for the ladder, it was reported to venue that a wasp nest had formed in the entranceway where the couples guests would be socializing. Venue out of kindness and concern for couple and guests removed nest while guests were in the ceremony so as to not disrupt the guests or reception in anyway. Perhaps again a thank you would be more appropriate.
