  Great vibe for a small home wedding

  Rabbi Andy was just the perfect fit for my partner of 40 years and myself. He is Jewish and I was raised Episcopalian. We met with Andy once before our ceremony but he seemed to understand our relationship and how we were approaching this new phase of our lives together. He was spiritual and lighthearted; serious and joyful at the same time. We could not have hoped for a more perfect understanding of us and what we wanted in our wedding ceremony.

  The perfect match

  Rabbi Andy Dubin was the perfect match to our wedding officiant needs. We had met with other rabbis and either they had booming voices but no real interest in our story or they were very invested in our relationship yet weren’t the best public speakers. With Andy we found the best of both worlds. He is a very gentle and kind man with a great consideration for both partners as well as an engaging presentation that elicited multiple compliments from our guests. We are an interfaith couple (I am lapsed Episcopalian with limited exposure to Jewish traditions and my wife is Jewish) and Andy took the time to explain the meaning behind the rituals of the Jewish ceremony. We met with Andy 3 times leading up the our wedding and we shared our “how me met” story and family histories with him to the point were he infused our ceremony with personalized touches that made it all the more special to us both. We were able to work with Andy to select traditions and rituals that were significant to us, meaningful to our Jewish guests and inclusive of our gentile guests. We wholeheartedly recommend Rabbi Andy to anyone who is looking to have a beautiful, personalized and spiritually significant ceremony.

  So blessed to have found Andy!

  Andy is a wonderful Rabbi and was a wonderful spiritual guide for us. He went above and beyond. My husband grew up orthodox and I grew up in a mixed household (jewish father, catholic mother). We were looking for someone who would support that mix. Our meetings were fruitful and he really got to know who we are as a couple. So, so many people complemented us for his thoughtful, and (appropriately) hilarious remarks and the beautiful ceremony he conducted. He had us laughing and crying. And most importantly, he really captured who we are, and helped us create a ceremony that was right for us. Andy is truly a lovely human being, and we're looking forward to staying in touch with him. Hire him immediately!

  Andy was our rabbi for our wedding a few weeks back and we only have the most amazing things to say. We decided to have a Jewish ceremony fairly last minute and we met with Andy with only a limited time left before our wedding. We were able to meet a couple of times in person and we really enjoyed our time together learning more about the traditions in the Jewish ceremony. He spent time getting to know us as a couple and on our wedding day, he gave such a personal and highly memorable ceremony. Our guests raved about how well Andy spoke and how beautiful the ceremony was. We highly recommend Andy for any couple looking for a Jewish ceremony that is still personal and highly relatable to all guests attending.

  My wife and I were a bit nervous at the prospect of finding an co-officiant for our interfaith wedding (we were looking for both a rabbi and a Protestant Christian Pastor to represent our families' respective faiths and traditions.) We needn't have worried - Rabbi Andy turned out to be the perfect choice.
  
  From our introductory Skype conversation to the day of our ceremony a little over a week ago, Rabbi Andy was both the calm, reassuring presence and a knowledgable consummate professional. Many months before our wedding, Andy even offered us a chance to participate in a series of classes aimed at educating interfaith couples in the history, culture, and traditions of Judaism so that - regardless of whether or not the non-Jewish partners are converting - couples can have a greater understanding of Jewish life. The class was fantastic and helped me connect to my wife and her family that much more.
  
  We recommend Rabbi Andy to any interfaith or Jewish couples looking for a smart, attentive, and accommodating officiant for their wedding.

  Rabbi Dr Andy made our day perfect.

  We’re a bit late writing our review, but Rabbi Andy was our Celebrant on the edge of Central Park Lake 25 June 2015 (the day before same-sex marriage became legal right across USA) for a Kiwi and an Aussi guy.
  Andy met with us over Skype to get to know us and plan our day.
  Andy even organised our Wedding Photographer who was also awesome.
  
  It’s our 7th Anniversary next Month, and we always tell people about our joyous day in New York City with Rabbi Andy.
  
  He is one of those beautiful humans who radiate joy.

It was important to us to have a ceremony that incorporated Jewish traditions and culture in a way that felt sincere for us both. Andy did a terrific job creating a personalized ceremony based upon our meetings and conversations with him. He discussed everything with us in detail beforehand and took the time to get to know us as a couple. He was also very warm and sincerely cared about our special day. We received many, many compliments from our friends and family about how great the ceremony was. We highly recommend him to anyone searching for a wedding officiant.

  We had a wonderful experience with Rabbi Andy oficiating our ceremony. He was always flexible in finding the time for phone conversations and clarified any questions we had. In the ceremony he was well spoken, good sense of humor, and his pace and timing made the guests connected (not boring)! Definitely loved his presence.

  The timeliness, performance, and attitude of Rabbi Andy was above and beyond expectation. To say he was accommodating to the entire nature of the service and his role in it, is putting it very lightly. Andy was openly communicating, reasonable, and most importantly, understanding of the wedding and what we were trying to accomplish. To me, that understanding helped things go as smoothly as they possibly could, and I am confident it can translate to anyone else's wedding plans!

  Andy was a great officiant. We are finishing our wedding week-end and could not have gone better without Andy during this journey.
  
  We had a preliminary meeting with Andy a few weeks before our wedding day, where he asked us questions about our couple, how we met, all the questions to not only get to know us better but also to make our ceremony as personalized as possible. During the weeks leading up to the big day, Andy was always available to chat or email and took the time to go over with us the different steps and procedures during the ceremony. On the big day, everything went better than expected. By the way if you also need a great flute musician, his wife played for us at the ceremony which gave a great touch to the entire event. Andy made the ceremony touching and heartfelt. Our guest were all very impressed with the charm and presence he gave to our ceremony.

  Andy is nothing short of amazing; gifted, knowledgeable and warmly personable. Moreover he was open-minded and crafted a ceremony that transcended dogmatic boundaries to do EXACTLY what it intended. It's a rare privilege to suggest that if you don't consider him for your ceremony, you may miss a rare opportunity for something magical.

  Caring, Flexible, Committed -- Fantastic Experience!

  The ceremony that Andy created for us vastly exceeded our (admittedly high) expectations. Many of our guests told us that he was terrific and put together a beautiful service. We couldn't have been happier with his performance, and we highly recommend him to any couple.
  
  Our initial decision to move forward was based on a several factors. From the outset, we very much enjoyed Andy’s warm, caring, and approachable personality. We also liked that in addition to being a rabbi, he holds PhD from the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS is affiliated with Columbia University) and is fluent in Hebrew. As a "cultural Jew" and an atheist, my wife wanted a ceremony without any mention of a "higher being,” but it was important to both of us that our wedding still incorporated the longstanding traditions that make a Jewish wedding so special. Andy was up to the challenge, and his academic background was very useful in creating a truly unique service.
  
  Andy did more than the "typical rabbi" task of developing the ceremony. He also met with us a number of times to learn about our relationship, our respective pasts, what Judaism means to us, and our future together. Meeting to discuss these things was very valuable. It not only further informed our ceremony, but it also got us thinking and talking about topics in a way we might not have otherwise. We felt very much like Andy really cared and saw us as more than just "another couple." He was also comfortable engaging in philosophical discussion and explaining what various aspects of a Jewish wedding ceremony meant and why they were a part of the tradition. Importantly, he was never pushy, and we were encouraged to select the elements that resonated with us.
  
  Andy is compassionate, warm, smart, and hard-working. This isn’t just another way for him to collect a check. He truly cares about creating a ceremony that is representative of the couple and will do what it takes to accomplish that. He is comfortable with both taking the lead and deferring based on individual needs, and we feel confident that he would be able to deliver an outstanding service across a wide range of preferences and couples.

  Rabbi Andy did a wonderful job officiating at my wedding. It was a challenge because my wife is not converting and is Chinese, but he managed to make it a moving ceremony for both of us.
