Rabbi Jon was incredible. He came highly recommended to us by another rabbi who was booked for our date. We set up a call to meet and discuss, and the conversation was instantly natural and warm. He made us feel like we've known him forever, and he has a great sense of humor. We wanted our wedding ceremony to be reflective of us, and custom to who we are as a couple. That being said, over a few months Rabbi Jon worked with us to create a "script" for the day via Google Docs. We were able to incorporate traditions from my Jewish heritage, along with traditions from my husband's Catholic traditions and Rabbi Jon did not make us feel pressured into adding anything that we did not want in our ceremony. We met Rabbi Jon in person before booking his services to ensure that all of us felt the same connection that we did on the phone. What we thought was going to be a 45 minute meeting, turned into a few hours over coffee and lots of laughter. We found out that my husband, Rabbi Jon and I are all alumni of UMass and had much in common to reminisce about. He is knowledgeable about the Judaic customs, and provided very helpful input for our ceremony as he began to learn more about us. Rabbi Jon brought a speaker system, which saved us from being grossly overcharged by the venue too! Looking back, our ceremony was our most treasured part of the whole day. We are so grateful that we were put in contact with Rabbi Jon because he truly listened to what we wanted and guided us in the decisions that we made about the ceremony. After getting to know us a lot better, he realized that we love to make jokes and laugh a lot. That being said, Rabbi Jon asked if he could make a few "off script" casual jokes about UMass and what not during the ceremony. We truly appreciated that he asked, and of course we said yes! His jokes were warm and funny, and everyone still talks about how enjoyable the ceremony was, and that Rabbi Jon was very funny and personable. Don't take this the wrong way, it wasn't like he was performing standup comedy, but more so he made a few jokes that had the crowd engaged and laughing. Rabbi Jon was the perfect complement to the wedding ceremony of our dreams. Looking back on the wedding, we would say that Rabbi Jon was one of our favorite vendors of the day -

My husband and I cannot recommend Rabbi Jon enough. He was one of the officiants at our interfaith wedding and he helped make the ceremony very special. From the beginning he was kind and listened to our needs for the ceremony and made it very personal to us. His kind and warm personality made our guests feel welcomed. We really appreciate all the work that went in to the ceremony to make it memorable. -

Jon was amazing an amazing rabbi. He took the time to get to know us and that shined
Throughout our ceremony. The combo of sermon, song and humor was natural and made us feel comfortable. Our guests also commented on how great the ceremony was! We couldn’t be happier. We highly recommend Jon. He helped make the day even more perfect for us. -

Jon made a ceremony for us that was beyond special. His ability to connect and the ease in which he does so creates a moment that is truly beautiful. He has a natural gift and is the best selection you can make on your big day. Years later, friends and family still mention the service we had and the amazing ceremony that Jon guided us thru. Jon, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
One more thing - make sure you have him stick around to sing some Sinatra during the party!!! You won’t be disappointed with Rabbi Jon! -
