User2187788 Sent on 06/19/2015Rachel and her partner did a fantastic job covering our wedding. She was very helpful in creating a time line for our day when we didn't have a wedding coordinator. She thought of so many different options and ideas. We love our images and our wedding album.
Worth the money we spent! -

She was detailed with the photographs and we got more than we would have ever imagined. She brought a helpful assistant photographer as well. Our friends have already booked her for their September wedding. -

The whole day will be remembered, right down to the decorations and the party bus. Beautiful all around. -

She was rude to me and to every member of my family and bridal party (anyone she spoke to to) - frequently rolling her eyes and calling them idiots if they did not immediately respond to her barking. My family, bridal party, and I am very laid back and easy going, but her unprofessional, impatient, and venomous approach nearly ruined my wedding day. She failed to follow explicit instruction/ did take specifically requested shots. Her angles were lazy and uncomplimentary, meaning, if there was a better vantage point she could have taken she opted to remain crouched or seated where she was, even if the photo wasn't any good.
I cried for weeks after I saw the photos. I would recommend her to no one.rachael ruffin photography's reply:
i am 100% saddened and shocked at these accusations. there was not one point in time was i venomous towards any one, and im sorry she feels this way.
i have many emails after the wedding from this bride, and not at
any point did she voice these concerns and outrages. all emails were
returned within 24 hours, she received her images 4 weeks after her wedding.
said bride had a shot list that was very long/detailed and i did tell her most would not happen. i do not take out of focus/blurry pictures, as she was askingme to do in some of the shots. i do not work off of specified shots list that long provided by the bride that aren't formal images. formal images are talkedabout
in-depth, i make a list and bring it to the wedding. all of those images were taken and delivered to this bride.
these clients were told in both the consultation
and in emails that they should hire me on my visions as a photographer and only hire me if they like my portfolio. they hired me merely weeks before the wedding because of a "friend falling out", which i can only imagine was because of the brides nature, as seen in this 100% false review. every image that i took was not from a sitting position, and if i was ever sitting it was because i was 32 weeks pregnant and i was waiting on the bride and groom after the ceremony as they were talking with some family or while every one was eating. every requested picture at the wedding was taken and given to the client. they received over 300 pictures and i even stayed
past the time i stated (about 45 minutes) so i could get their cake cutting pictures for them. i repeatedly ask the bride "did we get enough shots of you and the groom"? she seemed pleased with what we had taken and even made sure we got images for "my portfolio" because i did the wedding at a bit of a reduced rate because of the handmade aspect of the day.
im heartbroken that this bride decided to leave such an unthoughtful
review and not approach me first with these concerns. here is a link
to a blog post that features some of their images, as you can see
most of these couldn't have been taken from a "crouching or sitting position"
nor are they sloppy lazy angles. please take note that this bride has had her images since july 2012, and has thought to leave a review 4 months after reviewing her images.
