    Working for a amazing floral designer.

    Karen does amazing work with fresh and beautiful flowers. She does it all! I have come to learn many things from her in a short period of time while she works her whole shop she it training me! I highly recommend going with Red Velvet, Karen has a lot of knowledge about the business and works hands-on all her arrangements. She works hard to please and get what cusyomers would like especially during this PANDEMIC time having so many limits with things not available. She does beautiful work and goes over the top to help complete each order. I honestly love it at Red Velvet and hope others give her a chance and see her beautiful work.

    Fantastic!

    I highly recommend Red Velvet Florist & Sweet Pea Wedding Design! Karen was responsive and helpful, and she created absolutely beautiful bouquets for our wedding.

    Red Velvet Gave Us the Red Carpet Treatment!

    Honestly, Karen is spectacular! We met, she saw my vison, and the flowers we just breathtaking! Our Bouquets were just lovely, EVERYTHING was amazing... Shewent above and beyond... She also brought extra flowers to make sure if one didn't make it through set up, there were relacements at hand! We will be using Red Velvet for ALL our floral needs from now on!

    Sue ad Helen at Red Velvet were a pleasure! The flowers for my wedding completely overwhelmed me and they walked me through it all- step by step. My flowers were everything I wanted! They worked with my budget and helped me to find alternatives. They used containers that my fiance had made and made sure that evrything I wanted was there. I wuld highly recommend them!

    Red Velvet Florist was great to work with. They did everything, and I mean everything to get me the flowers that I wanted. They were beautiful and I received many compliments on my flowers.

    COVID circumstances

    My fiancé and I chose Red Velvet Florist for our wedding in September 2021. Prior to our wedding my finance received military orders for a trip to Alaska. Once he returned he began not to feel well, and ultimately tested positive for COVID-19 the day before our wedding. In consideration for the safety of our guests we were forced to cancel our wedding under these circumstances.

    I called Karen at Red Velvet Florist to make her aware of our situation and was told “oh okay, let me know when you’re ready to book again; I guess I’ll just use your flowers for someone else”. With these statements I was under the impression that I would have a credit for when we would rebook our wedding. I was never given the option for any other alternative. I would have happily accepted the flowers and donated them to our church in memory of my late mother.

    A couple of weeks later, I received a check in the mail, along with an email from Karen (see below) how she felt so terrible of what happened that she was going to give me a partial refund. She also included for me to provide a positive review of her business for giving me the refund, trying to obtain free advertising for my unfortunate situation.

    Emails were sent back and forth. Ultimately she was never going to give me a credit, and was going to keep all of my money for flowers I never received, nor was never even offered to get delivered. Included in this was a delivery fee and other fees for something I never even received. She finally agreed to give me half of the remaining balance and send it to me via mail. I waited two weeks and never received anything. I reached out via email again, and Karen now refused to give me a refund for the remaining balance after she had agreed to.

    I completely understand everyone’s time is valuable, and a complete refund was not my intention. I understand she is entitled to compensation for setting up the arrangement, that is not what this is about. Planning a wedding can be extremely costly, and when something as unfortunate as this happens some vendors are willing to be more compassionate and work with you. In life situations arise, especially during a pandemic, that are completely out of your control, and I would hate for others to loose their hard earned money like I did. All of my other vendors understood the situation.

    Caution when using this vendor

    CAUTION when using this vendor during these unprecedented times.

Karen’s poor business practices, poor communication skills, and wanting to prey on an unfortunate situation do not make her the florist you should use for your wedding. In life situations arise, especially during a pandemic, that are completely out of your control, and I would hate for others to loose their hard earned money because someone is being so selfish. None of my other vendors had the lack of understanding she did.
