Amazing!

Hiring EJ and his father was the best decision we made! They are amazingly talented people and they are so kind and down to earth! They made us feel at ease on our wedding day and we enjoyed hanging out with them. They made it seem like we were hanging out with friends. A few days after the wedding, EJ sent us some photos and videos he took with his iphone. Not only were they great photos, but how sweet was that?! They made sure to capture everything we wanted and the results were phenomenal! So far we have received the highlight video, and WOW! We were both amazed at the video they created. It flows so perfectly with the song choice and captures the entire day. We are so happy that we hired Reel Motions and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high quality work and individuals who are fun to work with. We can't wait to see the rest of the video footage!

Very talented videographer, and a pleasure to work with!

EJ was the videographer for our wedding, and we couldn't be more impressed with his work.

He was super friendly and easy to work with. We had to reschedule our wedding due to covid, and he was very understanding, which we sincerely appreciated.

On the day of, he had a positive energy and it was fun to film the shots.

Then when we received the videos, we were so beyond pleased!! He perfectly captured all of the details of our day, and didn't miss a single special moment.

We are so grateful we chose to work with EJ - he is super talented, and would highly recommend him for your videographer needs!

Stop the search for your wedding videographers - this is your guy!

We honestly don’t even know where to start in this review other than that you probably will never meet someone as kind and professional as EJ. We first contacted him about shooting our Yosemite wedding about a year before the big day. We had heard about him as he had shot one of my husband’s friend’s wedding. As soon as he responded, we knew that he was the videographer for us and that we could stop our search.
What really attracted us to EJ was his extensive experience with nature photography (check out his IG account @nikonej). Since we were getting married in Yosemite National Park, this was a huge plus for us. He knows and loves Yosemite and is passionate about capturing such outdoor footage.
We Skyped with EJ initially and he was extremely kind and accommodating to answer all of our questions about videographer, logistics and more. EJ is so professional and knowledgeable when it comes to weddings and his personability cannot be beat. We kept in contact with him throughout the whole lead up to the wedding, exchanging thoughts and ideas and asking him many more questions.
When we finally met EJ, we felt like we were meeting an old friend. Him and his assistant, Thomas, were so wonderful to work with. Their experience and creativity really shone through as we spent the day hiking through forests and up mountains together in Yosemite. They came up with so many creative ideas for amazing footage that we never would have thought of. Even before we left our chalet to start the day, they got so many awesome detail shots of our outfits, rings and of us getting ready.
We truly cannot imagine a videographer with more dedication to his field than EJ. He drove up to Yosemite, of his own accord, a few weeks before our wedding to capture additional nature footage for our wedding video, and even went all the way up to Glacier Point to capture sunrise the day before our wedding, again just to get extra footage for us. This initiative and drive say a lot about EJ’s professionalism and passion for his line of work, and we can’t thank him enough for truly going above and beyond to give us the best wedding video we ever could have imagined.
We received our finalised highlight video from EJ just a few weeks after the wedding which was a really pleasant surprise. To say we were blown away would not do this video justice! The reactions we’ve had from friends and family second that and bear testament to EJ’s hard work. Everything we witnessed in the year before our wedding, from EJ’s drive, dedication and creativity has been realised in unbelievable footage of our wedding day that we get to watch over and over again. EJ has managed to find the perfect mix between gorgeous landscapes and nature footage, and footage of precious moments between my husband and I on our wedding day. His editing skills are second to none and we are amazed at what he did with the footage after our wedding! Hiring EJ was one of the best decisions we made during our whole wedding planning process and we can’t imagine having chosen anyone else. Not only that, but we honestly feel like we have made friends for life in EJ and Thomas. Since there were only my husband and I at our wedding (no friends/family/guests!), it was extremely important to us that we get great footage of our wedding to show our loved ones afterwards. Thank you for memorialising our big day in the best way we ever could have imagined!

My wedding was at Brownstone Gardens in Oakley and EJ from Reel-Motions is a recommended vendor there :)
In the beginning we were not sure if we wanted to add videography, we where about to settle on just photography....but we are SO HAPPY that we decided to budget in a videographer :)

I absolutely recommend that every wedding should have a videographer - and definitely go with EJ from Reel-Motions!

We had contacted a few other videographers but none where like EJ. From the moment we contacted EJ he was professional, responded to our emails quickly, and made the whole experience great for us!

After our first face to face meeting we knew that we would absolutely hire him for our wedding! He is a very nice, friendly, and genuine person and we definitely knew we wanted him to be part of our special day!

On the day of our wedding, EJ was professional and great to work with! Everyone was very comfortable around him and said nothing but nice things about him! He also worked exceptionally well with our photographers!

I just received my wedding highlight video and....I cried!!! It was SO BEAUTIFUL! The music, the edits, the flow of the video was perfect! We absolutely LOVED our video! EJ did an AMAZING job!

We are so happy that we decided to book a videographer, and glad we went with EJ from Reel-Motions! :)

Going into the process of wedding planning, we knew that the photographer and the videographer would be the most important vendors. We spent months researching and interviewing them. We are so so happy that we found EJ and that he was available for our wedding. Working with EJ was a blast! He is funny, cares about his work, is very talented, and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. When we watched the video, we were thrilled to see how perfectly he captured the day! Thank you, EJ! I didn't cry at the wedding, but I cried watching the video. You are the best!!

EJ is AMAZING! My now husband and I had stumbled upon EJ through our Photographer, Christina. Prior to our wedding day, we didn't quite get the chance to sync-up w/ him in-person, but on the day of our wedding, it was as if we had. He's kind, warm, funny, professional and plain chill. It made the actual day of the ceremony much less stressful having him & his partner around. Beyond that, this awesome dude agreed to a 14-hour day, spanning across 3 cities, starting with a Traditional Chinese Ceremony and ending with a Westernized Ceremony & Reception. Not sure how his energy never wavered, but he was always upbeat from the beginning to the end.

Afterwards, our Highlight Vid & Full Video was awesome! He was able to record a lot of the little things that we didn't get to see, such as some of the decor, the little moments where people chatted/had fun, the aerial shots, etc. My favorite part was how he was able to capture & slow-mo the garden flowers & the bees from our outdoor ceremony. Made the video much more sweet. :D

EJ does the most beautiful work and is so affordable. He captured beautiful moments during our wedding day and his highlights bring tears to my eyes. Our wedding was on April 8th in Oakland, CA. EJ was the first videographer that my husband and I spoke with, and it was pretty much a done deal from that first phone call. We chose the package that included 8 hours of filming and it was the perfect amount of time for our wedding ceremony and reception. EJ and his partner were professional and wonderful. They definitely delivered on our highlight video, which we received less than a month from our wedding date! The video editing was fantastic and the footage matched the music that we chose perfectly. We also received our full wedding video in less than their 8-week promise. I am highly impressed and would love to work with EJ and his team again. I would recommend Reel-Motions to anybody else who wants great quality work for an affordable price.

When I began planning our wedding, I knew that the two most important vendors for me would be our photographer and our videographer. We would be trusting these people to capture one of the most important days of our lives. I could not have made a better choice for our videographer than EJ from Reel-Motions!

From the very beginning, EJ was easy to work with, polite, and always listened to our requests about what we wanted for our video. He promptly responded to our emails and was very pleasant to work with. Several things went wrong with our wedding plan along the way, but I never doubted that EJ would do an amazing job and I never had to worry about this one aspect of our wedding.

We just recently received our highlight video and it totally captures some very real moments and the true feelings of our big day. It is so fun watching it over and over and getting to see parts of our wedding that we didn't get to witness ourselves as there is so much going on that day. It is something my husband and I will always have to treasure and have to look back on and remember the details of our wedding day. We cannot wait to receive the footage of the whole day!

I couldn't sing higher praises for EJ! My brother recently got engaged and if he chooses to have a videographer (which I HIGHLY recommend!), EJ will certainly get my vote!

Ej and the Reel Motions team did more than just capture our special day they put the perfect video for us to cherish the rest of our lives. He did an amazing job we can't stop sharing it with our family and friends.

FANTASTIC!!! The moment we spoke to EJ on the phone we knew he was our videographer! He was so warm, open, VERY EASY GOING and really listened to what we wanted for our wedding. His responsiveness was outstanding before and after the wedding. We never had a doubt that he wouldn't deliver.

We told EJ from the very beginning how camera shy we were. Well aside from him saying hi at the beginning of the day, we didn't even notice he and his assistant were there! :-) Everything we asked for he captured for us! AMAZING! The wedding highlight video was delivered quickly and made all of my family and friends cry because it captured the day so perfectly!

He sent us the full length cd's in a nice display box on time. There were a few things we wanted to add/change and EJ responded quickly! He sent us the revised full length and we couldn't be happier!!! So happy with the end result.

Suggestion - Make sure you ask about using the drone at your wedding! So beautiful capturing the entire wedding setting from the sky!!

Bottom line: I did a lot of research and you can't find anyone better than EJ. He should be charging more than what he charges :-) (which is so, so reasonable compared to many others). You will not be disappointed. We got married at Greystone/CIA in St. Helena and they added him to their preferred vendor list because he is so great!

Don't think twice about hiring EJ!! Just do it! :-)

5 stars well deserved! EJ did our photography and videography for our 9/7/13 wedding. EJ is incredibly professional and very easy going. He was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. You will not be disappointed as his talent is undeniable. He has perfected his craft and seeing our wedding photos and watching our video highlight was proof of his natural ability to capture those priceless and intimate moments. I loved the wedding links EJ provides. I was able to easily share our special day with family and friends by sending them the links to view. Guests can also purchase photos directly from this link, which they loved! The wedding photos were simply breath taking, EJ captured every single priceless moment. An impossible task for many photographers, but not EJ. Our wedding highlight couldn't have been more perfect. It brought all to tears, even my husband :) I was so impressed with his quality of his work. I HIGHLY recommend EJ as a person and professional. Reel-motions was an absolute pleasure to work with! E.J. is so kind, sincere, and professional and he did a fabulous job with our wedding videography. We honestly didn't even know he was there on the wedding day, as him and his were not at all intrusive but instead allows you and your guests to enjoy the day without feeling like you are on video.

Not only does E.J. shoot your wedding beautifully but he also provides these amazing "montages" of different aspects of your wedding. Those are super fun to watch because they provide a short "glimpse" of the evening without having to watch hours of video. Additionally, he put a "Sneak peak" montage online so we could share the link with friends and family across the country. People who didn't even attend the wedding watched the "Sneak peak" montage and said they started to tear by how the little moments were captured.

I know often times people see wedding videography as a luxury "add-on" but I would say it is absolutely essential! Your wedding day goes by SO fast, and it is nice to have a documented video to really remember the whole feeling of the day. To see video of what WASN'T captured by our photographer was priceless. Your money is well spent and you will NOT be disappointed!

I absolutely LOVE the turn out of my photo's and video from Reel Motions. The crew was very professional, yet easy to talk to and feel comfortable with. We had to set things up through mail and email correspondence because we live in Utah but our hearts lie in the Bay Area, and they made the process so painless and fun! We weren't nervous at all that we had not met them in person before starting the contract, their beautiful work and demeanor spoke for itself. If given the chance to do it all over again I would not change a thing.

Hiring a videographer was a last minute decision I made. I wasn't sure if I needed one and if I can still squeeze it in our budget. When I decided I want and NEED one I searched forever for one that I can afford and will not charge me couple of thousand of dollars but yet can still offer a good quality of service. There's many videogprahy service that offers really cheap price but video looks like it was shot in the 80s! Finally, after endless weeks of searching on the web of cheap videography svc in the bay area, I came across Reel Motions! And found them here on weddingwire. Price definitely was affordable and the package that comes along with it is very good. Just wish they give raw copy of the film but I realized later on would I really want to watch hours of unedited film?

Met with EJ and I thought he's pretty nice so I just went for it despite of my then fiance's protest in having a videographer!
Just as after the wedding I realized, this is The BEST decision I made!
They were on time the day of our wedding. Both him and Thomas. They were sooo unobtrusive that I actually forget I have videographers shooting us. Got my wedding highlight clip a month after my wedding and it was so beautiful. The editing, transitioning and quality of the video was awesome. Better than expected! I loved it and so did everyone else... Still waiting on our full edited film... but I'm pretty sure it will be just as good. Highly recommended! They are very reasonable, very professional and you can tell there's love put in to their work.

Videography: A+! I hired Thomas and EJ to help capture my proposal to my girlfriend at an ice skating rink. Thomas was the videographer and EJ was the photographer. They are a dual father-son team. We had never met prior to discuss our needs and had only communicated via email. I was definitely a bit nervous about how the proposal would go and whether they would be able to capture all our emotions prior and during the proposal to create an artistic video. Needless to say, I was blown away by Thomas's amazing work when I received my completed video. It was artistic, engaging, touching, and timeless, the way he had stitched the video together. Many of my friends even told us they teared up just watching it!! The video we received wasn't just a straight taping of the proposal, but rather a series of touching moments that he caught of us skating (laughing, helping her up after she fell -- essentially using footage of all the right moments!) which eventually leads to my proposal. He also willingly and flexibly worked with us to incorporate a few other personal elements (i.e. building a story of how we met each other which eventually leads to the ice skating proposal). We worked with Thomas for a few weeks to perfect our video and I am so impressed by his responsiveness and professionalism throughout the whole process as we had many ideas we wanted to incorporate. Basically, this is much much more than a straight taping. It was a piece of art that my fiance and I will now treasure forever!

Photography: Thomas and EJ was extremely professional throughout the entire process. When I arrived with my girlfriend at the ice skating rink, Thomas and EJ was already there, on time, and with their equipment set up. Immediately after the proposal, EJ took us around the area taking engagement shoots. He brought a few SLRs for different types of photos and also helped us pose. He was really nice and easy to work with, and when we ran into delays which cut into our allotted photography time, EJ was more than willing to extend his services. Now thats great service!

In essence, both EJ and Thomas did everything possible to make their customer happy. I couldn't have found a better, and more reliable team than Reel-Motions for such an important event, and will definitely be recommending them to all my friends.

I had never done something like this before but they made us feel so comfortable and made sure they captured each moment. Our highlight video and full video looks like a movie and everyone that we shared it with that couldn't attend felt like they were able to share our big day with us. They were super affordable and flexible, I totally recommend them to everyone!
