  A+++ Wedding Venue and Catering!

  Aaron and Sheena were perfect for our rehearsal dinner. The venue was gorgeous and the food was delicious. My friends and family could not stop talking about the food. Aaron was very accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. We would've have booked them as our wedding reception caterer had we not already booked someone else. They had the venue decorated very well and Aaron provided us with speakers and heaters during the winter. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

  Aaron and Sheena were perfect for our rehearsal dinner. The venue was gorgeous and the food was delicious. My friends and family could not stop talking about the food. Aaron was very accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. We would've have booked them as our wedding reception caterer had we not already booked someone else.   By far, the best decision we made planning our wedding was choosing the Alexander House as our venue. Aaron and Sheena thought of every detail and made my day the most magical, stress free event. Not to mention it was utterly BEAUTIFUL. I MEAN DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. The food was amazing and their prices were so much less than most of the other places we priced. This venue, but mostly the people, were invaluable. It was perfect!!

  We have used The Alexander House along side The Grand Gourmet on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed! The owners and staff are professional yet friendly with a can do attitude. If you can think of it they can make it happen. The food is amazing and I love the attention to detail that they give to everything. If you choose the The Alexander House and/or The Grand Gourmet, rest easy, you made the right choice!

  We did not have a wedding at The Alexander House, but had a client appreciation party and it was amazing! Everything from booking it to the food was fabulous! Our clients still talk about how perfect it was!

  If you want to have an event be it corporate, wedding, house party, fundraiser, etc....you tell them what your dream is, they make it reality. I have had several events with them and never once had to ask twice for anything nor worried for quality of food, service, display, clean up, set up....I could go on and on and on. If you want the most PERFECT event of any nature, you won't be disappointed, only disappointed if you don't go with them! And the TEAM is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Magical... That is how many of my guests described our reception. Anybody can provide a "fancy" venue/food/service, but if magic is what you seek, I highly recommend The Alexander House/ The Grand Gourmet for any event. I would describe myself as a down-to-earth/easy going/ go-with-the-flow type of person, so as a bride, I kept my ridiculously high bridezilla expectations in the back of my head.   These were amazing people. They did the most wonderful job with my wedding. It was supposed to be an indore out door wedding but it was raining so we had to do it all indoors. They pulled everything together amazingly! And the food was to die for. I'm so thankful for the people making the best day of my life so special!! I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

  I had an amazing experience with Aaron and Sheena. The venue is beautiful, the food was amazing and they made me feel like family. They worked with my budget and practically helped me plan my whole wedding. Every time I called or texted I got a very quick response. Aaron helped me find my officiant and dj when mine fell through last minute. I couldn't be happier with the way things turned out. I cannot thank Aaron and Sheena enough for helping the wedding of my dreams come true. You guys are awesome!

  Aaron & Sheena exceeded our expetations without a doubt. They were thorough, gave great advice along the way and brought everything to life as we asked. There were even some finishing touches/tweeks done that made our special day wonderful! I didn't get any negative feedback about anything from our guests. The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was amazing and eveything ran smoothly. The Alexander House is the real deal because they love what they do and love people.

  Everyone here was amazing. From the time we met with just the idea of the wedding through the time of packing up from the reception. They treated us like family! They were so easy to work with. When we had a hard time figuring out something...food, decorating, placement, etc. they were there to help and offer assistance. They worked with our budget and actually cared about keeping us on track. I have used them for other events since the wedding and will continue to refer them to everyone I know. Thank you guys for everything!!!

  I am so happy to have been an Alexander House Bride!!
  When I started planning a wedding, I instantly felt overwhelmed by all of the decisions that needed to be made and was worried that I would never find a venue that would look amazing but also be in my budget... then I met Aaron. From the first time that I met with him, he made me feel so comfortable and took all of the stress and worry off my shoulders. He made me feel like the most important bride in the world and asked intelligent questions about what I wanted. After taking note of each thing I asked for, he was able to paint the picture of what our special day would look like and for the first time I could visualize it clearly. More than that, he made me feel confident that he had everything under control and that he would be with me every step of the way. Aaron was always quick to respond to a phone call or text and I really appreciated his customer service and professionalism.
  The venue itself has an old-world charm which was perfect for my "Shabby Chic" wedding. There were so many little intricate details that made for gorgeous pictures from the chandelier over the wooden archway, the door that introduced us to the reception under beautiful outdoor Edison bulbs, or the rustic barn.
  The added perk of the Alexander House is that they also run a catering company, The Grand Gourmet. Aaron's wife, Sheena, is the chef and I have to tell you that the food is incredible! They worked closely with me and my husband to make sure the menu was what we wanted and then set up a tasting to make sure we were satisfied. Needless to say, it surpassed all of our expectations! I received so many compliments at the rehearsal dinner and the wedding about the food. To top it all off, their staff was so sweet and helpful and made sure that each guest at the wedding was taken care of.
  Every bride deserves to feel special on her wedding day. But if she wants to feel EXTRA special, she'll call Aaron @ The Alexander House.

  They above and beyond to make everything amazing! The best example of that from our wedding is after we cut the cake a bridesmaid was talking about wanting a large glass a milk with her cake before we knew it here comes one of the workers with a large glass of milk! Amazing service and amazing people!

  Aaron and Sheena are the best and made my party planning experience so easy. I used the Alexander House and their catering service to host a bridal shower for my sister. The guests were all very impressed with the food, venue, customer service, and atmosphere. I highly recommend The Alexander House for any event you are planning! Whether it be a shower, wedding, birthday party, or retirement party they will cater to your needs and make sure your event is pleasurable and memorable.

As a bride the last thing in the world you need to worry about is the food and décor. We all picture how things will look and they exceeded that for me. We had an outside wedding, and the reception was inside. Aaron and Sheena accommodated all of our request, and even made suggestions that I did not even think about. The staff that was there serving our guest, taking care of odd /end things and most important keeping me calm, (and making sure I always had a diet coke) was beyond unbelievable. I mean perfect does not even do it justice. The food was unbelievable! It was so fresh and perfect. The menu had a lot to chose from. I am telling you, this is the best place to have any kind of event! Aaron and Sheena are awesome host, and have the best staff in town. I do plan to use them for future events! Just a side note, my quest and DJ was very impressed with the Aaron, Sheena and the staff.

  How could I not give Aaron and Sheena 5/5 all around! They are so great and so helpful! My wedding is in January and I have to plan everything from where I live which is three and a half hours away from this site. We had our tasting about a month ago and Sheena took the time to schedule our tasting on a Sunday to meet our schedules regardless of that being a family day for her. They are wonderful people and the house and grounds are gorgeous regardless of the time of year you get married.

  How could I not give Aaron and Sheena 5/5 all around! They are so great and so helpful! My wedding is in January and I have to plan everything from where I live which is three and a half hours away from this site.   I'm so happy that my husband and I chose the Alexander house for our November wedding! They were so helpful and in top of everything! They helped us set up and clean up, and the food was absolutely amazing!! I've recommended the Alexander house to a few friends and they all agreed on how great it was!!! I would choose them again if I had it to do all over again!

  After my other venue fell through like 2 months before my big day Sheena and Aaron (owners of the Alexander House) were able to help me put my dream wedding together! They were so accommodating and helpful throughout the planning, decorating, pre-ceremony, ceremony and reception. I couldn't imagine a better place to have my wedding! Knowing they were in my corner made my wedding day stress free! I haven't even mentioned how GREAT the food was either! Sheena is the bomb when it comes to cooking! I definitely would recommend contacting them to make your happily ever after come true!

  After my other venue fell through like 2 months before my big day Sheena and Aaron (owners of the Alexander House) were able to help me put my dream wedding together! They were so accommodating and helpful throughout the planning, decorating, pre-ceremony, ceremony and reception. I couldn't imagine a better place to have my wedding! Knowing they were in my corner made my wedding day stress free! I haven't even mentioned how GREAT the food was either! Sheena is the bomb when it comes to cooking! I definitely would recommend contacting them to make your happily ever after come true!

  Aaron & Sheena went above and beyond our expectations. To this day we wish we could get married all over again just to re-live our experience with them. They are very personal with their clients, and will do all that they can to meet your expectations. This dynamic duo along with their staff made our day very memorable, and here we are 2 years later still getting compliments on our special day. And might I add...the food was SUPERB!!

  The Alexander House was the perfect venue for our wedding. Our ceremony was in the garden, under the beautiful arbor and chandelier. The reception site fit our 150+ guests perfectly for a cozy and fun celebration. Because we had a large number of guests, the house was only used for our wedding party to get ready, and a cocktail hour while we finished family photographs. Aaron and Sheena went above and beyond our expectations to prepare the house for our event, and we had so much fun planning with them. They are a great team, and genuinely care that their clients are happy. We were so happy with how perfect our wedding day was.

  The Alexander House is a quaint little house with loads of southern charm! We hosted our Rehearsal dinner here for 44 people and our guests are still raving about the food, the professional staff, and what a neat little place it is! They have done extensive work outside to make a beautiful garden area including a huge tree swing! We enjoyed cocktails on the front porch and overall LOVED having an event here!

  Management is terrible!! I was stood up not once but twice for my food tasting because the owners "forgot"! It rained the day of my wedding and we had absolutely no help from management with trying to find an alternative like tents. I had taken off work prior to my wedding to go over all the details and how I wanted everything laid out and management didn't even show up until ONE HOUR prior to my wedding. So while trying to get ready my bridesmaid and family memebers were running around showing the workers how everything needed to be set up! And did I mention the owner was late because he was one his way home from FLORIDA THE FAY OF MY WEDDING! I'm sorry but that is poor management to be out of town the day of an event. The place is beautiful the food was delicious, but management is TERRIBLE!!

  We truly strive to please all of our clients and when I read this review I must say, I felt like that's not how you felt during and after your wedding. We missed your original tasting because the owner and chef was in the hospital and was septic from complications from her recent baby delivery. She spent 15 days in the hospital including 3 days in intensive care and we didn't want you to be worried about your big day, so we weren't very forthcoming regarding that information. Several meetings scheduled during that time period slipped through the cracks. Aaron, co-owner and director of operations, was indeed out of town up until about an hour or 2 prior to your ceremony at his aunt's wedding, but you were left in very capable hands. The crew on site, including Sheena, the chef and owner, were instructed in where to set everything up but when the rain was coming, everything changed on the day of in order to fit it all under the tent. You had also mentioned that we didn't help you with the tents, but we have texts to and from you on the morning of your big day discussing the tents and where to place them along with the lights and how you wanted them hung. Again, we were very taken aback to receive this review with no knowledge of your unhappiness, and I wish we would have known how you felt back in September of 2015, over 18 months ago. I hope you have enjoyed married life and we are deeply sorry you feel this way. We would love the opportunity to make it up to you.
