It was super easy to work with Tanya! She was very responsive to any questions we had during our planning process. The venue is gorgeous, and I love that there was an option to stay at the venue the night before our wedding and the night of. It made things much less stressful. I would absolutely recommend Rivers Edge! -

We had a great experience using River's Edge as our wedding venue! The pictures really don't do this place justice- it is absolutely gorgeous in person! We loved the tall majestic trees, the river, lush green lawns, and beautiful landscaping. There were tons of options for couple and wedding party photos. Tanya was wonderful to work with. She made everything easy- we were able to use her tables, chairs, and decorations at no extra cost, and she let us do several site visits ahead of time to test out our live streaming plans. She was always really responsive and kind, which was so appreciated during the stress of wedding planning! Can't recommend this place enough! -

We had such an amazing time at our wedding at Rivers Edge. All of our guests absolutely loved the venue. It was so refreshing to be able to jump in the river after our ceremony in the 100-degree heat! I don’t think any place could beat the value of what we were able to get here. I highly recommend booking the venue for your wedding. Bob and Tanya were great. -

What an absolutely breathtaking venue! I am SO happy I found River's Edge Wedding Venue for my wedding! The property is huge and well maintained and the River is just the most perfect touch for an outdoor wedding. We had the most beautiful ceremony right by the river (there is electrical access for sound which was a big plus) and Romantic Reception on the lawn under 2 large tents (we rented 1 additional tent). The bridal suite was fantastic and had plenty of space for the bridal party to gather before the wedding. This venue definitely creates a very intimate atmosphere, all of our guests loved the location and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Tanya (owner) was incredibly easy to work with from the start, she was so accommodating and had availability for us on short notice. She has excellent communication which I really appreciated, answered emails and text messages consistently even during late hours. She let us visit the property as many times as we needed and was flexible with all the vendors and plans that we had, she met and coordinated with our restroom trailer vendor, the tent company, and our flooring company all prior to the wedding, let us use her big barn to store many items and even helped coordinate parking on the day of (there is a LOT of parking). I wouldn't be able to do it without her help and all of her generosity. We feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to have our wedding, the most special day of our lives at River's Edge Wedding Venue. It was the best decision we made! -

River’s Edge was such a beautiful venue for my wedding with the forest and the river! My guests enjoyed the vibrant scenery and magical feel it gave to my wedding day! Tanya and Bob made my special day so special and so smooth, I can’t thank them enough! They worked through everything we needed for our special day to make it as stress free as possible and they were very responsive with any questions I threw at them. We also got the special package to stay the night in their B&B room, and I cannot describe how comfortable and homey the room was!! My wedding was more than I could ever imagine and I owe it to River’s Edge. HIGHLY recommend to every bride near and far!!Rivers Edge B&B and Wedding Venue's reply:

As a wedding DJ I see many wedding venues and know the scenery, flow of the spaces and dance area is super important for a wedding. The ceremony is beautifully placed literally at the river's edge with a easy walk back to the open space for cocktail hour and big open tent for dinner. Also is is super priceless for an outdoor wedding not to harass me about the volume of the music, this is one of the few outdoor venues that is ok with dance music volume!

Best place for your best day!
Tanya and Bob were absolutely amazing and accommodating since the first moment we met with them to check out their beautiful home and property to be our wedding venue. They are such awesome, fun, and caring people, wonderful to do business with. Not only that but they felt like people we could truly be friends with. I absolutely had the best experience with them! We had the most beautiful wedding. Their property has so many places for the most gorgeous wedding photos. You can't beat what they have to offer, especially since they have such an amazing price. Jodie Sent on 07/15/2018Tanya and Bob were AMAZING to work with for my wedding! From the beginning to the end, they were on top of all my requests and easy to work with. They both put in so much time and effort to make sure I had the day of my dreams and it paid off! I couldn't have hoped for a better day and it was supported by the best people. They are both very professional, willing to work with your requests and very sweet owners on top of it! My husband and I both feel like we had the most amazing day and it was made easy because of Tanya & Bob.

Bride here from wedding of AUGUST 6th
1. We picked Exclusive package - which entails the groom/bride staying from 8/5-8/7, we had the entire day before the wedding for set up, and we also had somewhere to stay on the wedding night. There were numerous complications. First thing that happens the day of rehearsal, (In the contract we were promised golf cart usage for chairs/tables) also use for my disabled grandpa. I was confronted first by a couple of guests saying that our wedding was going to be shut down due to the fact that the golf cart was being used to bring down the chairs to the ceremony area. Confused by this - I was then explained to, that a “new trail” has been built so that the slope of the hill didn’t get ruined, understandable - But the way the situation was handled was completely unprofessional, Bob screamed at my fiancé & my little brother for doing so & almost cancelled it over that?
2. No wifi in our room that we stayed in the night prior of going to bed.
3. First thing morning of the wedding: we’re greeted by Tanya, “sorry guys, the grooms cabin is no longer available as of this morning”. More confusion. We have conversated about this ‘grooms cabin’ being built since we toured the venue last year. I had emailed Tanya one week before the venue to ensure that the cabin was able to be used by my fiancé & his wedding party and she confirmed that it was finished, we had the option between the smaller bedroom and the cabin. fiancés mom spent hundreds on decor to surprise him, just to be told the morning of, it was no longer an option. Then proceeds to tell us the reason was they did not have a permit & apparently built passed their property line so it actually wasnt theirs. Don’t make promises and make last minute changes the day of someone’s wedding and not expect us to have the greatest expectations to what’s to come next from these people.
4. Approached again after the ceremony by some of my wedding party about how the host chose to take the time during the ceremony to go snoop through all our personal belongings. Was then told that Tanya screamed at my bartender and demanded that she go retrieve all the alcohol that was in the rooms, the bartender refused as she felt very uncomfortable and defintiely let me know she will never be hosting for river edge again and how unprofessional she found them to be, my wedding party took care of getting the alcohol out of the rooms/giving to the bartender to make Tanya happy, and keep the bartender where I was paying her to be. Again was told that my wedding was almost shut down due to this.
5. Was told that 2 toddlers (of my WEDDING PARTY) were not allowed to be in my bridal suite when they needed to be changed. Idk why they would expect the porta-potties to be an option.
6. Was told that Tanya yelled at the caterer to move their vehicle (when they were only suppose to be their for a brief time - so needed to park as close as possible to just drop off the food for us.)
7. Was approached by Tanya @ 8pm reminding me that the bridal suite was to be cleaned & have everything was to be out by 9pm, I still needed to cut cake, sign our certificate, listen to a “special song” that was made and in that moment felt so much frustration that I was being rushed to hurry my wedding up. my wedding party helped & got the stuff
8. Golf cart keys taken away my grandpa couldn’t get to the car @ the end of night
9. CAMERAS IN BRIDAL SUITE?? WTF

I am not even sure where to begin... this is all so inaccurate and not at all representative of what happened. 1. Never once was there talk of shutting down your event. We asked you to use the trail for transporting chairs instead of the hillside and yet you continued to use the hill, causing additional wear and tear on the hill. We were frustrated by that but to say we talked about cancelling the wedding is completely unfounded. 2. No wifi in your room? We have Blast internet from comcast with excellent wifi-- if there was a glitch, let me know and I would have restarted the router or called comcast. None of us had wifi issues so perhaps you entered the wrong password? A simple problem that could have been easily remedied had we known there was an issue. 3. We are incredibly sorry that you lost the use the cabin. That is something that was out of our control and a huge bummer for us as well. 4. I NEVER snooped through the rooms. When the ceremony was going on I heard music blaring still from the grooms room so I went up to turn down the music. I noticed at least eight fifths of alcohol and a bunch of food. The rehearsal notes and our contract both state that there is to be no self serving of alcohol. That just is not our rule-- it is also per our license, insurance, county regulations. Also your bartender was at risk. I went to her and asked her if she had checked the ready rooms for alcohol and she said she had not. Most bartenders DO check for this. She said she had already informed the mother of the bride that there was to be no self serving or she would leave. I never ever got upset in any way. SHE removed the alcohol and a groomsmen helped her as it was too much for her to carry. An entire Ikea bag full of alcohol as well as a large box worth. One of the groomsmen was falling down drunk. Your entire wedding party was drinking all day. Even then there was never talk of shutting down your wedding. YOU violated the rules that were clearly spelled out in the contract as well as in the Rehearsal Notes you were given. 5. You were aware that there are 12 named people for the room. The kids were not in there having their diapers changed. They were running around and yelling. The 12 named people is because we are on septic and there are fire code rules. 6. I did not know it was the caterers car doing the drop off. They were blocking the circle driveway which is also a fire code issue and I thought they were a guest that was parked there so I asked whose car it was so they could park it in the parking lot. When I found out it was for the caterers that was totally fine with me and I had no problem with it. Nobody communicated that the caterers were dropping off food and the car did not look like it belonged to a caterer. 7. Our contract AND the rehearsal notes both state explicitly that you have access to the brides ready room (King suite) until 9pm. It even says it is recommended you pack up as many as your belongings as possible before the ceremony so that it is not hectic at the end of the night. You were given that information on Friday and should have been well aware of that expectation. I let you know at 8pm as a reminder so you would have plenty of time. The 9pm time should not have been a surprise to you at all unless you completely neglected to read the Rehearsal notes on Friday and the contract you signed. 8. The golf cart keys were immediately given when asked for them and your grandpa did not have to wait at all. 9. The only camera in the bridal suite was behind a bifold door that is ribboned off and has a sign that says DO NOT ENTER along with a notice that there is a surveillance device inside. I think the bigger question is why is a groomsman in the brides room and snooping through our closet? In an area clearly marked off limits. He actively removed something to get into an area he clearly should not be in. That was the only camera and is used to alert us to people who are in places they should not be. 10. At the end of the night, I thought that you were happy with how things went and was shocked to see you were so upset. You yelled and degraded me and my husband and I never raised my voice or was disrespectful to you. You were mad that I had the alcohol taken away. Other than that your day went smooth. If you had followed the guidelines and respected the rules we would not have had any problems. After you stormed out, your husband asked us, "Why is she so upset? I don't understand, I thought today went well". You are trying to blast us and have lots of people write negative reviews. In 5 years we have never had people characterize us in such negative ways. We have had dozens of very happy couples and your rage at us is unfounded. I wish you would review the contract I sent to your husband and actually read through the Rehearsal notes you were given on Friday and you would see where things fell apart.
