    This place is amazing! Ken and the staff are so helpful and nice. The food is incredible, they even sent us home with leftovers! I can't say enough about using Rivrside Ballrom for our wedding reception, you will not be disappointed if you decide to go with them.

    I could not say one bad thing about Riverside Ballroom!! The food was absolutely amazing, the staff (especially Ashley) bent over backwards for us. I even had numerous compliments from family and friends about Ashley! If you are looking for a great venue for your wedding, GO TO RIVERSIDE BALLROOM!!!!!

    We loved Riverside Ballroom! The whole staff starting with Ken and onto the servers and bartenders were amazing! We went with Riverside Ballroom because of the ambiance, so many places felt like a conference hall than a ballroom. Every little detail was perfect, down to ambiance, to the food, to the service! I thank everyone there for being amazing!

    We had our Wedding here over the weekend and couldn't of had a better place to have it, Ken was very accommodating with anything we needed and more, everything was done perfectly! We highly recommend this place for your events! Thank you Ken and Ashley your the Best! Lee & Connie Ahlswede

    Riverside Ballroom couldnt make wedding planning easier. There package includes everything, so no dealing with a-la-cart items to see what it would actually cost. And gratuity is included in the price so no 18-25% extra on top. Ken was super easy to work with and made planning from Missouri super easy. He was always ready to answer our questions or drop everything when we stopped by when in town. Our guests were astonished by the serving staff with how fast they got food to the tables, they complimented on how fast food was replaced after a dish was emptied and that the food was hot. They have multiple bars with plenty of bartenders as no one was waiting for a drink very long. Lastly the venue has a style that doesnt require much decoration, no uplighting or fancy decorations to cover up or dress up the venue which is a savings if choosing a different venue. If Ken is still running Riverside when our kids get married we would recommend the venue to them.

    Great to work with! Everything turned out beautiful! Ken and Ashley were great to work with! Food is amazing. Beautiful atmosphere.

    Riverside was great. I changed my mind several times on the colors. They have a lot to choose from. If I couldn't find something they had it. At low cost. The food is great. The security is awesome as well. Check it out.

    Riverside Ballroom was extremely helpful to my fiance and I when we were looking for a place to host our reception. The staff was knowledgeable, listened to our specific needs, and was even willing to let us do a taste-test during our first meeting. When we booked Riverside for our wedding, the staff was flexible in times and offered a wealth of information and recommendations regarding DJs, hotels, and other vendors. We are very pleased with staff, location, and overall atmosphere! Thank you for making the whole process seamless!

    Ken at Riverside Ballroom was willing to meet our needs. The wedding packages were very reasonable and customizable to meet our needs. We received lots of compliments on the food and no one left hungry! The space is great for large weddings; we comfortably fit 400 guests.

    The Riverside Ballroom was a GEM to work with. They made the whole process of picking everything out for the reception one that was as easy as possible. Their many options and helpful mannerisms made us feel very comfortable and taken care of. All of our guests raved about how fantastic the food was and the package that we chose allowed us to give our guests free beer for 4 hours. Being from Wisconsin, that made our guests even happier! I would definitely recommend this venue to any couple who is looking for the entire package and wants to be catered to and treated like the paying customers they are. Thank you Riverside!

    Guests loved the food! I woulda not recommend over 250 guests in the carriage room, because it could get too crowded.

    I absolutely loved Riverside. It was the perfect location for our wedding. Ken was more than helpful and kept in close contact with us. The table centers were beautiful, and the whole room was magical. When we walked into the room, there wasn't a single thing that I didn't like. The head table was a little squished, but it is because we had a huge wedding party, and we really only spent a little time up there. The food was fantastic, everyone loved it. I cannot say enough good things about Riverside.

    We had our wedding reception in this venu about a month ago! They have recently redone the space and it is BEAUTIFUL!! My husband and I LOVED it! They have a large space with a beautiful handcrafted stage, dancefloor, sound booth, amazing sound and lighting, and a great catering area!! There is even a pool hall area (that my husband spent much of his time in) stocked with 6 or 8 pro pool tables! This was a big hit for my family! The set up was perfect for our buffet style dinner and the staff was amazing!! What you get for the price of the venu is unbelieveable, I know, my husband and I looked for 8 months prior to making this decision, but as soon as I saw the venu, I knew!!!! I want to say thanks to all the wonderful people at Riverside Ballroom that made our dream day a reality!!!!!!

    The people at Riverside Ballroom are truly experts at making your special day perfect. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is very vintage, and the planners bend over backwards to get you what you want. They did everything I wanted. Everything.

    Overall our wedding experience was awesome.Ken and his staff were great to work with and our wedding day went very smoothly. They filled our special requests without a hitch and we had a great time. Our only downside was that they booked our room the night before our wedding so we were unable to have our rehearsal there.

    We chose Riverside Ballroom for our large wedding reception (300+ guests). After visiting and considering many venues, we selected Riverside for their inclusive packages, size, aesthetics, good food, and friendly staff. Ken and his team were helpful and accommodating throughout the planning and lead up to the wedding. The day of team was attentive and efficient. The space was clean and precisely set for our event. This included flexibility in their schedule to allow for early set up. The venue while older has the charm and elegance of yesteryear. We would recommend Ken and the Riverside Ballroom to other couples in search of a beautiful, unique, and historic venue.

    Don't waste your time and money.

    Created a weddingwire account just to warn the rest of you about this place.

    Wedding date: 10/3/2020
    - 250+ people
    - small room

    Review:
    Horrible customer service ruined our experience. Here's why:

    1) Asked for extra trash cans.
    Response from Ken: "can't you just change it yourself? We don't have a trash can for you.. besides, it's going to look ugly." After pushing on, he finally gave us small trash cans.

    2) Asked for water.
    Response from Ken: "I have to pay for the water bill" and refused us water. It wasn't until we pushed on that he finally gave us water.

    3) At the last moment, we had to pay a surprise fee for a security guard even though it wasn't in the contract.
    Response from Ken: "for 42 years we've always had a security guard. You're going to still have to pay the security guard."
    Also riverside: homeless person walks into our party and the security guard didn't say anything.
    Ken's excuse was "well he was asian, so we assumed he was part of your group."
    Ok Ken, so if a white dude dressed in raggedy clothes walked into a white person's wedding, wouldn't you have at least questioned him if he knew the bride and groom?

    4) Ken the manager. Double books the venue and speaks at the other party even though their speaker system is still hooked up to our room.

    5) amidst covid-19, we had to post pone our wedding. But we weren't allowed to post pone into the next year because "it didn't fall into the calender year".

    We asked what would happen if there was a government mandate to have less than 10 people gather. Ken's answer was "oh that will never happen. Of all my years working here, we've never had that happen. And we have bookings every single week. And our food is delicious, so people can't resist."

    6) Made decorating difficult. We asked to take things down so we could bring in our own decorations.
    Ken's response: well... Its going to look ugly.

    7) Emailed the venue about changing colors.
    Person changing the table cloths: I don't know what colors they want... I'll just put this color in.

    8) Paid $26.95 per plate ($17 per kids) Which was apparently the cheapest plate according to the manager. At the end of the day, there was still tons of leftover chicken, and the server told us "usually we charge to pack the leftover food."

    We asked them why the table linen wasn't changed.
    Ken's response: "well, with all of our emails, we cant get through all of them. Besides, this color looks GREAT anyways."

    That's pretty much all for the customer service. Now let's go on to the quality of the place.

    1) none of the staff wore gloves, masks or hair nets. Amidst covid-19.

    2) chairs were stained

    3) walls had holes in it.

    4) cooler was open and meat that was marinated was left on the cart uncovered next to fruits and vegetables.

    Overall review: 1/5 "definitely not worth your money"
    I'm surprised these guys even passed inspection.

    I recently attended a wedding at the Riverside ballroom they had rented the carriage room and from early in the experience I realized the poor quality and unprofessional demeanor of the staff, starting with the servers bright pink bra hanging out of her shirt, the manager Kevin who yelled at a member of his staff who was an older woman, it was disrespectful and inappropriate, next came the raw chicken i was served, literally bleeding chicken, the only thing pleasant about our visit were the kind bartenders, other than them I would not recommend spending your special day with this establishment!

    First of all the venue was nice but there were so many things wrong!! When we signed the contract we almost got everything we wanted but the day before and the day of was another story they tried to change everything especially Diana Garcia she was very unprofessional screaming at us and cursing!! There was leaks everywhere we had to use some buckets, some of the lights weren't even working..It says holds up to 500 ppl its a lie they only let up to 400 i had guest that couldn't come in it was just a bunch of lies!! The bathrooms were filthy! I do NOT recommend this venue at all WORST service and if u have to deal with DIANA GARCIA!!! Even my guest were suprised of how bad they were treating ppl total chaos.........DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL;)))

    this place is nice but the service they offered was HORRRIBLE..!!!Diana Gracia would say one thing while wee did the contract but the day of the event she wiuld change everything..when she is nobody there...people think about this place twice..BAD SERVICE
