  Rockhouse gave me the most Amazing dream wedding

  Rockhouse is AMAZING. The food, the PEOPLE, should I go on?? Everything about the hotel was perfect and exactly what I wanted. Our presidential suite was incredible, but our guests who stayed in some of the less expensive rooms said there’s was great too.

  One word...... AMAZING! The pictures say it all. So far the staff has been extremely helpful and very attentive. They are a full service place...anything you need, they get! I love this place!

  I already wrote a long, detailed review for Rockhouse on Trip Advisor, so i'll keep this one short.
  
  This place is seriously amazing. It's over the top! It doesn't get any better than Rockhouse! Gorgeous property (most beautiful place I've ever been in my life!), delicious food and drinks, wonderful spa, and the PEOPLE! The people here are what really make this place feel like a home away from home. Genuine, warm, funny, and so good to guests. They all go above and beyond.
  
  If you're looking for a very special, beautiful and relaxed wedding that's perfectly tailored to you, look no further! Inise (the wedding planner) is absolutely wonderful, and will help you do anything and everything to make your wedding day exactly as you've dreamed.

  This is the best wedding venue in Negril, Jamaica! The people, food, activities, atmosphere... all of it is top-notch!! Inise is the wedding coordinator and she goes above and beyond to provide a memorable experience for her clients! This was the best 3 days that many of our guests had ever experienced and many can't wait to return!

  There are no words to describe how beautiful and awesome the RockHouse Venue is. What's even better is the staff! Planning a destination wedding is always tough - especially if you're doing somewhat of a non traditional ceremony. I have never seen such a crew of people who were ok rolling with the punches and just saying "yes" even when they hadn't figured out how to do it yet.
  
  There were so many things that went wrong on my wedding day - the florist didn't deliver the flowers, my reception venue got rained out unexpectedly, and my groom tore two ligaments and sprained his ankle badly on the dance floor (totally his fault). But literally I didn't stress the entire day because I knew they had it handled and they were going to make it ok - they did. They're also incredibly happy and fun to be around.
  
  Our friends call it one of the top three weddings they've been to (and we are at the tail end of our friends getting married). There's incredible reef snorkeling right on the property, the restaurants are fabulous, and downtown negril is a 5 min cab ride away but you feel like you're in your own little island of paradise. And did I mention the staff is amazing?!

  Worst Customer Service Ever

  In January 2019, after seeing this venue come up on numerous wedding venue sites and lists, and viewing the website, my fiance and I were sold. We immediately contacted their event planning team. They responded to our inquiry within a couple of days with general venue information, and we exchanged a few emails back and forth. We would have given the deposit to them then and there, but we were told that the 2020 rates would not be released until April and that we could not reserve anything until at least April 1st. So, we waited three months and called them April 1st. We didn't get a call back until a day or two later, when the Lici, the coordinator told my fiance to send them via email certain bits of information to move forward in the process. I promptly emailed them the requested information. They initially responded again with the general info email they sent initially. When I replied letting them know my fiance had just spoken with them and that I was replying with information requested by them just hours before, they told me that there were already full property buyouts the first few weekends in April and that there was a Monday-Friday chunk of time available. We had specifically requested a weekend set of dates, and what's more, how is it that they were able to coordinate and reserve multiple full property buyouts within the first couple days of having released the rates to the public?? I wrote them back asking if they could just let us know what weekends in the whole year would be available and we could go from there, they never emailed us back. Never returned our calls. Honestly, trying to get these people on the phone or to answer any correspondence was like pulling teeth. I wanted so badly for this to work out and we kept overriding our gut saying it was a bad idea but finally we were left with no choice when we could simply no longer reach them. I have no idea how anyone manages to get an entire wedding planned from afar with this venue. I simply want to share my story so that others may know that they might run into the same issue. Thankfully we hadn't given them any money yet, because I can't imagine trying to get it back once problems began. I think ultimately because we weren't going to buy out the whole property, they gave priority to those who were. So despite their advertising of accommodating small weddings, I don't think they genuinely want to do this. Good luck!
